102: Getting rid of her

I woke up from a terrible dream. We were in a gathering at Empire High. Then it was time to award the cheer club. The organizers said they would call on someone who would receive the gift, as the face of the cheer club.

I braced up and adjusted my dress, expecting that I would be called to receive it. My friends were already winking at me and hailing me underneath. I could not hide the pride I felt.

But to my greatest horror, I was not called upon to receive it.

The host said, “I would like to call on Ashley Kim, to receive this beautiful gift for the cheer club and also as the new face of the club!”
