N'DJAMENA, CHAD.
White, pure white!
Everywhere is white, she is staring at the white place where everything white stared back at her like mockery. The walls are white, the mattress where some people are sitting on in white also. There are three of them and their backs are facing her, one male and two females all discussing something that looks intense and serious. Their hands are flailing around as they speak, their backs moving closer to each other so they can listen to one another. She squint her eyes trying to see what is going on and why the whole place is white and so boring to eyes. But why the people look awfully family with the way they talk and glance at one another.
Is this another room in Sa'eed's chamber? The man seems to be obsessed with white but who the heck brought her back to his home? Last she remember, they were in Egypt and she ran away after their night got intense. No, she was even in a hotel room in Chad when some men came to assassinate h
N'DJAMENA, CHAD."You are saying that you married him for his money?" Hakim's brows scrunched lowly as he scratch his growing beard in wonder. He knows Suhayr in and out but he never thought she would give away her freedom for money, that sounds absurd to his ears or he might be hearing things. This is something so unlike the Suhayr he knows."What can I do? You know the company wasn't bringing much money then and I need it to survive, don't I?" She got all defensive seeing the judgement clouding his vision, he has always being judgemental and she hates him for that. He is her best friend, they grew up together knowing each other's flaws and because of his flaw, she hardly tells him all her secret and prefer to do it with Tasneem who will fan girl and support her even if she is wrong. She will then make her realise things one after the other, she appreciates that."
N'DJAMENA, CHAD.Suhayr changed into cotton blend block maxi dress featuring a scoop neckline and regular sleeves. Her feet are clasped in new pair of sandals that sat comfortably on her before they left the hospital together with Hakim and Salima who came immediately after hearing that she is in Chad. They don't need to settle any bill as Sa'eed has already done that, she can't thank the man enough no matter what she does. He saved her life, he left his country to come save her like a true hero. So this day is coming, the day Suhayr feels gratefulness that ran deep to her core, that makes her pulse thud and throb in a way she can't explain.'I don’t regret the things I’ve done, I regret the things I didn’t do when I had the chance.' She thought bitterly in her chest, this is bad. They arrive at the apartment complex with thirteen storeys, very beautiful and looks quite expensive but she didn't question H
BORNO EMIRATE COUNCIL."I seriously got scared for a minute there." Suhayr yanked herself away from Sa'eed's embrace while blushing. She felt stupid leaving Chad like that without second thought or even question herself whether that is ever going to happen. Tasneem would never do that to her even if the earth is in her palms for him."You need not be, Leontios, you will always be the perfect candidate. Protocols and etiquettes don't matter at all, no one could surpass you. You, are the perfect choice. There is no one greater than you are." He dive his head and took her lips with his in a passionate kiss filled with love. They both missed each other, so much.He chose his words perfectly like Elizabeth Bourgeret had said, 'A man in love is cautious with the decisions he makes, the words he says and the actions he takes, so he never purposefully cause her pain. He believes in her when she struggles believing in herself. He i
ABDEEN PALACE, EGYPT."What happened, dear?" Her father cooed, wrapping her in his arms like any loving father would. His heart is filled with joy when she rushed to him and gave him a tight hug, he has been wanting her to do that for a long time and she did albeit crying. It tore his him into half knowing he is powerful enough to crush anyone without as much as wasting his energy but his daughter is here crying.Whoever it is that did this, will suffer greatly."I hate him, father! I abhor him so much, I don't want to see him ever again in my life. He, he sent me packing because of a stupid truth behind our marriage! He is not worth it." She cried to her father's chest for so many things that went wrong in her life for the past few weeks. She didn't even get to cry for her biological mother's death with real tears, she didn't do that then but now, she can't hold the tears. She agreed that tears and crying makes us feel more human and sated when they are
ABDEEN PALACE, EGYPT."What is the commotion all about?" Suhayr ask one of her personal maids hearing the sounds of people talking, the palace in chaos for the first time since her arrival. The place has always been quite, people talk in hush whispers."Someone came and he wants to see you but the princes and the pharaoh are not letting him come through, your great majesty." Sara explained, her hands deep into the concoction she is making for Suhayr even though she knows she won't take it. That is her work, to always make it each blessed morning whether or not she takes it is not her problem."Me? Who could that be?" Suhayr wondered who would want to see her and her brothers are not letting him. That only leads to one person, none other than Sa'eed because he is the only one they hate from the core of their heart. She stood up then took calming breaths knowing she should not make stupid moves while she is just in her first trimester. It has been a month s
BORNO EMIRATE COUNCIL.Two years later.A bright smile lured it's way to her face, the sun beaming down on her face feeling a sense of accomplishment. She's been waiting for this day since forever and now that it is finally here, she can't wait to get it over and done with. She's written what she wanted to say so many days ago and now, she feels like a teenager presenting again in front of the whole class not that someone like her has ever been intimidated by anyone. Two years is a long time to change someone, she has also changed too like every other person out there. She feels emotions now, so many of them."Are you ready?" The love of her life questioned, his arms looping around her waist as he place his head on her shoulder."More than ready. I just want to get this done and over with. Where is that troublemaker?" She inquires about their one year old son who could ruin the room without as much as losing a tinge of energy reserved for the day. She is su
BORNOEMIRATE COUNCIL."Ha, you are definitely pregnant with twins and bet me!" Maysoon grinned extra widely staring at Suhayr who could only narrow her eyes in annoyance at her little cousin sister."Why do you want me to be pregnant with twins and where the heck did you get that philosophy from?" Suhayr glared at her simply irritated because of so many reasons standing right in front of her that she didn't want to believe.Who would've thought she was going to fall pregnant when her son just clocked two years old?Thank goodness Sa'eed was joking when he gave her the tickets to Mauritius a year ago and simply whispered they are going to make babies. Had that happened, she was sure she would've killed Sa'eed with her bare hands then bury him underneath a hill
N'DJAMENA, CHAD."Treasure what you have, time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grief, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, Time is Eternity. For all you out there with someone special in your heart, cherish that person, cherish every moment that you spend together that special someone, for in life, anything can happen anytime. You may painfully regret, only to realize that it is too late. Do not value the things you have in your life. But value who you have in your life."Like every other day, Suhayr remembered what her foster mother had said to her on her death bed. Like a broken recorder, she replays it whenever she feels down and when she is facing hardship. She's loved that woman like she would her mother and she misses her terribly, everyday. She was like her own oxygen, her life an
