Autumn’s POV

Just a few minutes after Zane walked out, Marc stepped into the kitchen, his eyes wide with excitement.

“Autumn!” he said, almost breathless. “Mr. Blackhowl just accepted our proposal. He signed the preliminary agreement!”

I blinked, still trying to steady myself from the encounter moments before. “Really?”

Marc grinned, nodding. “Yes! This project is going to be big. If it goes well, I’ll finally be recognized not just as a small businessman—but someone who can actually stand beside the big names in the industry.”

He looked at me, a proud smile tugging at his lips. “And it’s all because of you.”

I forced a smile, swallowing down the storm inside me. “You worked hard, Marc. You deserve it.”

He stepped closer and held my hands. “We both worked hard. And I promise, Autumn… I’ll make sure your dreams are safe with me. Yours and Valen’s.”

I looked at him—and for a moment, I tried to forget Zane Valerian Blackhowl ever existed.

Because right now, Marc was g

"He’s drunk..." I muttered under my breath. The scent of alcohol was sharp in the air, mixed with his cologne that used to make my knees weak once. “Don’t you think,” I said firmly, “this is the time you should be with your fiancée, Zane? Not standing at my door like a madman at one in the morning?” He leaned casually against the wall, hands tucked into his pockets, a dark chuckle slipping from his lips. “Then why are you here, Autumn?” he asked, eyes glinting with something unreadable. “Shouldn’t you be with your fiancé?” That question stung. I opened my mouth, then closed it again. Because for a moment… I had no answer. He stepped closer, his voice lower now, raw. “You and I both know you don’t love him, Autumn. You never did. You’re just trying to forget me. Erase me.” “You think you’re so important?” I snapped, trying to sound stronger than I felt. “Yes, I’m with Marc. Because he respects me. Because he stayed when everything around me fell apart.” Zane’s jaw clenched.

Zane came closer. Too close. My breath caught as his tall frame towered over me, trapping me between his body and the cold wall behind. “I can smell your arousal, Autumn…” His voice was low, dangerous… almost a growl. My heart thudded violently. I pressed my palms flat against the wall, trying to put distance between us, but there was none. He was right there. His chest brushed against mine, the thin fabric of my nightdress doing nothing to hide the way my body betrayed me. “Zane,” I whispered, trying to sound firm. “Don’t.” But he leaned closer, his lips brushing the shell of my ear. “You smell good, Autumn… just like before,” he murmured. “I missed you so much.” His breath on my skin sent a shiver down my spine. My knees weakened, but I held myself together—barely. “I’m not yours anymore,” I said, voice trembling but defiant. “I belong to someone else.” His eyes met mine, fierce and wild. “No,” he growled softly. “You may have given your heart

Zane’s POVI don’t know what’s happening to me anymore. My nights have been restless, filled with emptiness. Ever since I was banned from my pack, sleep has become a distant memory. But it’s not just the politics or the pressures of ruling—it’s her.Autumn.Deep down I loved her. I didnt even recognize my feeling towards her.I never sought her out all these years. Maybe because I was too angry, too hurt. Maybe because I thought she’d chosen someone else—Jade—when I needed her the most. But the truth is… I wasn’t okay that night.Flashback – Five Years AgoThat night, after the dinner, everything seemed off. A sudden dizziness hit me. My vision blurred, my body refusing to cooperate. I stumbled into my room, and collapsed on the bed. I tried to shake it off, convinced I had just drunk too much, but I barely had anything to drink.Autumn had asked me for permission to go to a party with her friends. I agreed, trusting her—trusting that we were still okay, still us.But when I opened m

Autumn’s POV I don’t know why I feel this way. Even after all these years… even after he rejected me, banished me from his life without listening to a single word—I still can’t stop myself. Whenever I see Zane, it’s like the world slows down. My heart clenches, my breath hitches, and I find myself staring… unable to look away. It’s pathetic, isn’t it? I should hate him. I should have erased him from my memories the way he erased me from his world. But I couldn’t. He’s still there—in my thoughts, in my dreams, in the quiet moments when I wish things had gone differently. I told myself I moved on. I built a life, raised my son, protected him from the past. But one look from Zane, and my carefully constructed walls tremble. He still has that effect on me. And I hate that I love him for it. “I need to end this…” I whispered to myself, holding back the tears that had been threatening all evening. My fingers trembled as I dialed Marc’s number. It rang only once before

Autumn’s lips trembled as she held Marc’s gaze. Her fingers clenched around the edge of the coffee mug, and for a long moment, she didn’t speak. Then, softly—honestly—she whispered, “Marc… I don’t know how to answer that.” Tears welled in her eyes. “A part of me is still healing… I’ve buried so much. The betrayal, the pain, the memories. I can’t deny that you’ve always been there for me—you never asked for anything in return. You’ve been Valen’s father in every way that mattered.” She finally looked up at him, her voice steadier now. “I’m not asking for a fairy tale, Marc. I’m asking for safety—for a future where Valen doesn’t have to be pulled into Zane’s chaos. I know this sounds unfair. But I need this… I need you.” Marc reached across the table and gently took her hand. “Autumn,” he said, voice warm but serious, “I’ll do whatever it takes to protect you both. But I want you to know… if we take this step, I’ll be in it with my whole heart. Even if yours isn’t ready yet.”

  • Lycan king and his Omega   Revelation

Zane’s POV Just as Marc walked out, all smug and confident about marrying my Autumn… Scott arrived. His expression was grim, his eyes sharp with tension. “What did you find?” I asked, standing up immediately. Scott didn’t waste time. “Clara. Autumn’s old friend—the one who worked at the palace… She spiked both Autumn’s and Jade’s drinks that night at the party.” My breath hitched. “And your drink too,” he added. “Same night. Different motive.” I clenched my fists. My jaw tightened. “Why would Clara do that?” I growled. “She was paid… handsomely. Enough to leave the city right after. I’m still tracking who gave her the money, but it was a planned setup, Zane. Autumn and Jade were drugged. So were you.” My heart thundered. Every breath felt like fire. “All this time… I thought she betrayed me,” I whispered. Scott nodded solemnly. “She didn’t, Zane. She was a victim too.” My legs almost gave out. Guilt crushed me like a wave. I had banished her. Hated her. Bui

Zane’s POV "I need to warn Autumn…" The words slipped out of my mouth before I could stop them. But then I froze. No… She won’t believe me. Not after everything. Not after the way I treated her… after I rejected her… after I let her walk away thinking I hated her. If I go to her now, she’ll think I’m trying to break her marriage. That I’m just being possessive. She’ll push me away again. Damn it! I ran a hand through my hair, pacing across my office like a storm trapped in a box. I looked out the window, fists clenched, heart racing. She’s in danger. Valen is in danger. My son… Even if she doesn’t trust me, I can’t sit still. I won’t. If she won’t listen to me, I’ll protect her from the shadows. I’ll keep Marc in check, dig deeper into his secrets, and make sure not a damn thing touches her or Valen. I couldn’t stay away. Not from him. If Autumn wouldn’t let me near, I’d find another way. So I used my influence—something I rarely did for personal matters.

  • Lycan king and his Omega   Meeting Him

Autumn’s POV I don’t know what came over me… but I needed to see him. Maybe to yell, maybe to demand answers, or maybe… to see that face again and remind myself why I have to stay away. Before leaving, I called Hanna. “Autumn, my flight got canceled due to the storm. I’ll be there tomorrow morning,” she said apologetically. “It’s okay,” I replied softly, then hesitated. “I need to tell you something.” “What is it?” “I’m getting married… to Marc. In a month.” There was silence on the other end. “Wow,” she finally breathed. “That’s… sudden.” “I know,” I whispered. “But I need to do this. For Valen. For peace.” “Alright,” she said gently. “When I reach tomorrow, we’ll start preparing everything together. You’re not alone in this.” A small smile tugged at my lips. “Thank you, Hanna.” After ending the call, I took a deep breath, grabbed my coat, and stepped out into his office I reached Zane’s office building with a tight knot in my chest. Autumn’s POV I waited until the silence of the night wrapped around the mansion, until I could no longer hear the quiet footsteps of Hannah or the soft sighs of Valen from his room. I didn’t want to talk. Not now. I just needed… him. I pushed open the door to Zane’s room quietly. The dim light from the antique lamp near his bed cast long shadows across the walls. He wasn’t asleep. He was wide awake. Lying on his side, one hand behind his head, the other lazily sliding over his phone screen. His golden eyes lifted the moment I stepped in. “You came,” he said, voice low, almost like a rumble. I didn’t respond. I closed the door behind me, walked to the side of the bed. His gaze didn’t leave mine. There was no smirk tonight. No smug grin. Just… patience. Waiting. As if he’d been expecting me all along. I had changed into my nightgown, the silk brushing lightly against my skin as I moved quietly across the room. My heart was still heavy—confused, uncertain. I di

Zane’s POV She’s mine now. Autumn Valerian Blackhowl. My wife. The words echo in my chest like a war drum. Thanks to Hannah, everything went smooth—no chaos, no interruptions. Her cooperation bought us silence. For now. I turned slightly, watching Autumn through the corner of my eye. She stood quietly, her hands clenched around the bouquet, her face composed… but her eyes were screaming. Let her scream. Let her hate me. Because she’ll still wear my ring. Suddenly, I felt a small tug on my pant leg. Valen. He was looking up at me with those sharp little eyes, full of innocence and stubbornness. “Uncle…” he said, tilting his head, “Did you see my dad? Did you see Marc?” I crouched to his level, trying to manage the surge of irritation at just hearing that man’s name. “No,” I said calmly. “He’s… not here, Valen". I gently cupped his cheek. “No, Valen. He is not your dad.” His brows furrowed in confusion. “I am,” I whispered. Even if he didn't under

  • Lycan king and his Omega   Wedding day

Autumn’s POV The scent of roses hung in the air like a curse. Laughter, music, and flashes from the cameras bounced off the golden walls of the grand wedding hall. But I stood frozen in the bridal suite, unable to breathe beneath the weight of my gown—or the knot twisting in my stomach. Everything was perfect… except everything was wrong. I paced the room, glancing at my phone again. No calls. No texts. Where was Marc? He promised—he swore he’d be there before the vows. I stormed out of the room, ignoring the gasps from the wedding assistants. Jack was standing near the entrance, nervously fixing his bow tie. “Jack!” I called. “Have you seen Hannah? She was supposed to be with me since morning!” Jack looked up, startled. “No, she left early… said she had something to pick up for the ceremony. I assumed she came here after that.” My skin prickled with dread. “She hasn’t come back… and she’s not answering me.” Jack’s eyes darkened. “Wait—Marc hasn’t arrived either,

Hannah's POV Zane called me today. Out of nowhere. His name flashing on my screen made my heart sink. He wanted to meet me. Said it was urgent. Said it was about Autumn. But I rejected him. I couldn’t. I wouldn’t. Not after everything he put her through. Whatever happened between them—whatever history they shared—doesn’t excuse the pain in my sister’s eyes. The tears she hides. The strength she forces just to smile. Zane may be Valen’s father, but that doesn’t give him the right to play with Autumn’s heart all over again. I clenched my phone and stared at the screen long after the call ended. I knew keeping this from Autumn wasn’t fair… but I also knew what Zane was capable of. And I wasn’t going to let him mess with her peace again. But then he sent me something I didn’t expect… proof. Pictures. Messages. Dates. Marc… with different women. After Autumn got involved in that major project. After she started trusting him, leaning on him. I stared at the screen,

  • Lycan king and his Omega   Wedding

Autumn's POV: Zane tried everything he could to convince me to cancel the wedding. Every time we crossed paths, his presence made my heart waver, even if just for a second. It wasn’t just his words—it was the way he looked at me, like he still owned every piece of me. We encountered each other a few times recently. Each meeting left me more unsettled than the last. He didn’t need grand gestures. A glance. A whisper. A touch that lingered a second too long—enough to remind me of what we once had… and what we lost. But no. I kept telling myself this marriage with Marc was right. Stable. Safe. Tomorrow is my wedding day. Everything is set. The dress, the decorations, the guest list. It should feel like a dream coming true… but something feels missing. I haven't seen or heard from Zane in days. A part of me is relieved. Another part—God, I hate to admit it—aches with curiosity. Marc has been around more often lately. Helping out. Smiling. Trying h

Autumn’s POV: I don’t know when I stopped pushing him away. Maybe it was the way he said my name… the way his hands remembered every part of me. My mind screamed at me to stop this. To walk away. To think about Marc, about everything I was trying to build. But my body… My body betrayed me. It remembered him. Every touch sent a shiver down my spine, every kiss stirred a part of me I tried so hard to bury. I hated that he still had this effect on me. I hated that I wanted more… even when I shouldn’t. I let him touch me. I let him remind me of what we once had. Just when I thought he would push me over the edge… he stopped. His touch vanished like a flame snuffed out, leaving my skin burning, my breath shaky, my body trembling with an ache I didn’t want to admit. I blinked, stunned. Confused. Furious. “What the hell—” I whispered, my voice barely stable. Zane smirked, his eyes dark with something dangerous. “You think I’d give you everything that easily?” he m

Zane’s POV The second that bastard announced their marriage, my blood boiled. I clenched the glass in my hand so tightly I almost shattered it. Fiancée? Wife? Autumn? His? I wanted to laugh. No—I wanted to burn the entire room down. He stood there with that smug little smile, acting like he’d won some grand prize. Parading her like a trophy in front of everyone, including me.. She stood beside him like she belonged there. Like she had moved on. They danced like they belonged to each other. Her smile, her ease—it was killing me. Every move they made together twisted something deep in my chest. I couldn’t take it anymore. When she excused herself for the washroom, I didn’t hesitate. I followed. She had just stepped out of the restroom when I caught her arm and pulled her into the empty hallway, slamming the door behind us. “Don’t make me do things you can’t even imagine,” I growled, pinning her gently but firmly against the wall. “Stay away from me, Zane,” she sn

As soon as I stepped into the apartment, Valen leaped out of the nanny's arms and into mine. “Did you get my dress, Mommy?” he asked with his usual excited grin, wrapping his arms around my neck. I smiled and nodded, ruffling his hair. Before I could even set the shopping bags down, Marc appeared, already waiting for me. He walked over casually, the smile on his face warm and familiar. Without hesitation, he hugged me and placed a kiss on my cheek. “How can I forget this man?” I thought silently, gazing at him. “He’s been with me through it all... never doubted me, never judged me.” And yet... as his arms circled around me, I felt something—something I couldn’t name. Something missing. Why does Zane's touch still linger on my skin? I pushed the thought away. Marriage is supposed to come once in a lifetime, right? And I want every bit of it—every choice, every color, every moment—to be mine. After some shopping, Jack and Hannah told me they’d head to the next store—they needed to pick out something for themselves. I nodded, clutching the dress I had finally selected.
