The first thing I note when I opened my eyes was a total blackout. It was obvious it wasn’t fully morning yet.

The day had just begun to break. It was obvious through the dim light that lit from the window. I remembered the previous day’s event. Yeah, I walked to this room. I was presently laying on the bed. No one came.

That meant the owner wasn’t yet around.

I stretch my hands.

I froze immediately.

My hands had hit something. I stretched my hands again. This time a grip holds my hand. It squeezes my wrist and snaps the bone. I hear the cracks.

I yelled in pain after being tossed on the floor. My body comes dangling on the floor. The lights are switched on immediately.

My foggy brain recognizes that face.

Luca.

“Why are you here, Energia?” He asked.

I totally ignored him, still in pain. My hands felt like they were cut off. It was numb and pierced me like a million needles were being thrusted right at the joint spot.

“That’s what you say? You broke my arm, Luca.” I defended almost at the verge of tears. It was so painful.

“I didn’t intend to do that. I thought you were a hired killer.” Luca seethed.

He moved forward, softly taking my hands.

“This is going to hurt.” His words are a bit pitiful. My heart leaps out of fear as he moved my hands in some particular pattern.

I screamed out in pain and watched him in terror.

“What did you do?” I asked.

“I fixed your arm.”

“So, you’re like some kind of doctor now?” I savagely questioned. He dropped my hand gently. I had never seen him treating me like this before. He did it like he cared for me.

“You’ll never understand. What were you doing on my bed by the way? Were you missing me, Energia?” Luca asked.

“You wish.” I retorted.

“Didn’t you see me? I left the lights switched on.” I defended. He arched an eyebrow.

“There was a power outage when I came back.”

“Alright, I think I’ll head back.” I said.

“It’s too late for that, sweet.” He said. He sounded sleepy yet there was a part of him that still frightened me.

“What do you mean?” I said with my brows narrowed. He had this habit of giving me so many riddles at desperate moments.

“I want you just right here… In my bed.” He finalized.

“No way.” I rebelled out. I knew better than to do that. Not after his threats of waiting for the right moment to fuck me. In spite of my cover, I was a mere prattle without practice.

I stood up but was held.

“Only for one night, Energia. Is that too much to ask?” His eyes were misty. It suddenly looked darkened. I assumed it was because he hadn’t slept too much.

“I will but no touching, Luca.”

“Impossible. I have to touch what’s mine.”

I thought I heard a rougher voice but I was too sleepy to process anything at all.

As I laid on the bed, I was cuddled into a body. I didn’t care cause I felt comfortable. And, this time, no nightmares came.

“So, you two can’t keep your hand off each other for a sec? Not even a minute?” Calily asked alarmed.

“Calily, really? I’m going because this is my dream. I’ve always wanted to sign for the International Dance Competition and you know that.” I defended.

After yesterday, I went back home with Luca’s chauffeur driving me back again. I came to grab my things.

“Yes, I know. But you can’t leave me? You can’t leave this? I love you bitch.” She groaned out.

“Okay, you’re beginning to sound like a les.” I mouthed off, trying to bring some humor into the situation.

I was going to miss her so much too.

Yet, I had to go.

“I thought you loathed Luca Marino. Why the sudden change of heart?” She asked knitting her brows in confusion.

Her blonde hair was packed in a pony tail with loose strands at the bottom. She definitely got home last night late by the way the sleep bags held below her eyes.

“I don’t know what I feel anymore, Calily. It’s like my head’s telling me to stay away from him but my body pulls me closer.” I said with my both hands on resting my forehead.

She curiously stared at me for a moment. It wasn’t her fault. I knew I was acting paranoid.

“I think you should listen to your heart, Serena. I’d be damned if you don’t. You know I always want what’s best for you.”

I breathed in soft paces with my hands running through my hair.

“Thanks, Calily.” I mumbled. I was going to call my mum later to tell her of the changes of my job. I hated the fact I was going to explain myself to her again.

"Don’t mention. Come here, girl.” She ordered. I went over and pulled her in for a hug. She practically squeezed me till I almost couldn’t breathe.

“I can’t breathe.” I let out. She chuckled and loosened the hug.

“I hope you are not still with that v-card next time I see you. Marino seems like a good fucker anyway.” I couldn’t believe she just said that.

“Calily, really?” I narrowed my eyes at her.

“What? You’re 25 girl, get a life.” She said.

“You know what? I’m outta here.” I said. I picked my luggage and dragged it. I instead stopped, went back and pulled her into a big tight hug.

“I love you, girl.” I mouthed off.

“I know. I do too but sometimes you have to let go of things to get what you want.” She replied.

The drive back to Marino’s mansion is long. I wondered how I didn’t notice this before. His chauffeur is as stern as ever.

It was like he was fighting with the whole world. Taking my iPhone, I plug in my ear phones and listened to a serene song. It was a slow romantic song.

Calily’s word replay through my head.

“I hope you are not still with that v-card next time I see you. Marino seems like a good fucker anyway.”

I tightened my legs purring when I imagined the scene.

Gotta love Calily! Lol That should be an interesting conversation with her mum, hopefully she won’t give her a hard time! I’m dying to know who Calily’s mate will be, he’ll have his hands full & I hope their mates are accepting of their close friendship. I’m thoroughly captivated with this story!

Serena Esposito I had held on to Sasha tightly. I still couldn’t believe I had lost her. I saw her last just last week. And, we had a drink together. She told me about her seer abilities and we laughed about it. It all didn’t make sense now. . .I fucking lost her.“Why??!” I screamed.I didn’t even know where to start from. Who to blame. What the cause of her death even was? A source said it was Piero…Why did he kill her? What did he achieve by doing so?These were the thoughts that surrounded my consciousness when Luca drew me up with his hands. I reluctantly got up from the floor where Sasha lay.

Over the past years, I had craved mother’s care. Serena EspositoToday was a brand new day. The full moon was tonight. This meant transformation for all the wolves in our pack with an exception of myself and Luca. So far, I had learnt how to summon my Lycan side on full moons. This enabled me not bound to the moon.It seemed unachievable at first, but I learnt how to somehow. I had many thoughts on my mind, ever since I woke up this morning. Luca had gotten up early. He whispered in my ear that he needed to coordinate the pack's warriors for the training. He also reminded me that today was when he would address the pack. As his Luna, we both had to be there together. The war was tomorrow. Knowing that alone, aroused various emotions in me. I was so nervous about what was about

If there’s anything I learnt so far, it would be speaking up when one is faced with a problem. This was why I decided I was going to speak to the witches myself. Mum hadn’t pestered me in any way when I told her I was going to talk to the witches to join us myself. In the meantime, we had gotten to Luca’s pack. I was really surprised when he approved for mum and Francesco to stay with us. When they had settled, myself and mum took off to the witches coven. The moment we got there, I noticed how arranged they were. The witches were all around a large table, chattering and laughing. While mum took my hand in hers, she stepped forward and gave a order for them to keep quiet. “I’m here for an important arrangement, fellow witches,” mum let out. I watched as they scowled to mum's face. One of the witches came forward. From how she walked, it was clear that she was the head of them all. “And why should we listen to you, Aida? You only seem to come here when you need our help,” she said,

He was just the persona that was filled with various kinds of surprises in a way.“What are you up to, now?” I asked, following him. My legs were beginning to burn in the boots I had wore. And, I still needed to call mum to tell her about Luca’s approval.“Just be silent and come with me, Energia,” he said. About to say another thing, I then decided to do as he just said. I watched Luca touch his head with a stern look on his face. Knowing he was mind linking someone, I didn’t interrupt him.
