Chapter 84

Dante.

"You're fired." The words resounded in my ears but I had a hard time believing it. He couldn't be serious, there was no way he was. I swallowed, trying to open my mouth to beg him but stopped just in time. What was the point anyway? It's not like any of them here would change their minds. I would only be crying over spilt milk. I reclined in my seat, feeling a strange sense of disappointment wash over me.

"Of course, I understand." I muttered, standing to my feet and bowing my head, feeling rage burn through my veins. When I raised my head, my eyes locked with the man at the center of the room. I looked at the man who made the pronouncement and an uncanny sensation went through me all over again. Who is he and why does he look so much like me? I didn't like it one bit.

"Pack your things on your way out. This meeting is dismissed." The man uttered and I nodded. Without another word, I walked out of the meeting room into the hallway and made sure I was alone before letting out a
