(Few days later)

Today is the day Dante would be leaving our small town to go to the city. I won't be there to witness it because early this morning, I had woken up and gone out of for a run. Now, I'm staring at the peaceful lake, the sun is rising from the horizon and the chilly morning air has seeped into my clothes but I can barely notice it because tears won't stop leaving my eyes. I still can't believe Dante is going soon and I may never see him again. I'm still trying so hard to wrap my head around it.

Cleaning my tears for the umpteenth time this morning, I keep staring at the serene lake, hoping to ease my heart ache. My plan is to go back home long after Dante has gone so it seems like he didn't even come in the first place and I can live a normal life.
