Willa's POV
"How many little spells do you have left, little fierce kitten?" The scary Alpha snorted as he stepped closer, "Two? Hmmm, maybe one. Your right arm doesn't bear a black ring, does it?"
Evil or not, this man had a brain.
"Dare come and count yourself?" I challenged him. Alphas couldn't tolerate challenges, and I didn't have too many chances to do that without consequences so I might just have my fun with him.
Knowing Taran was on his way suddenly made everything bright and fun.
"I'm gonna enjoy breaking you so much, fierce kitten." The scary Alpha licked his lips, his eyes flickered to his beast.
"From that far? You are enjoying drooling over me alright." I teased with an evil grin. It would be great if he would come up and fight though. Taking him down would be much easier than taking down his wolf herd.
"I don't get it, kitten. How do you imagine getting out of here in one piece?" The scary Alpha rose both his arm
You have met Rudy before, but Willa hasn't :)
Willa's POV [Kirsch came?! I thought he could barely move! We need to help him.] I exclaimed. The peaceful feeling I enjoyed for only a second disappeared right away. [How could he not come, little one? He cares about you.] Taran tugged the edge of his lips before he stroked my hair. I took his shaking fingers to my lips without thinking, only to realize I hadn't got to the bottom of Natasha so I let go of him quickly. Taran pressed his lips together with a restrained smile. I felt bad when I saw the sad smile on his face, but before I could say anything, a whimper came from Rudy as he crashed into the wall. [Kirsch!] I lunged at the wolves in front of me. His injuries couldn't have healed yet! I needed to help him! [I'll take care of it. Stay with your granny.] Taran pulled me up by my hoody before he handed me to granny. Granny bit my cloak before she pinned me down with her paw, eyes locking on the wolves in front of us, on guard.
Willa's POV I didn't realize I had been staring at Taran the whole time until he turned around and met my eyes. I blamed him for my stupid staring! His speech was too manly for me to resist. I darted my eyes off him in panic. Taran curved his lips. The sullen reality suddenly came back to me as he walked toward me. I almost turned and ran if I wasn't in a one-way-out cave. There were too many questions in my head, and everything happened too fast. I wasn't sure whether he lied about Nat only to save me, and though I knew they wanted to help, I wasn't sure whether they could accept my curse-like condition. "Willa--" Taran took me by my arm and I flinched back hissing. My shoulder was still hurting after James broke it. "I'm sorry, I--" Taran let go of me right away, backing a step. I took a step back and shook my head at Taran warningly. Granny didn't know about Taran! She thought I was in love with Kirsch. I couldn't let granny
Taran's POV Of all the injuries I had taken, wolfsbane was by far the worst. But I would rather drink another flask of wolfsbane, than see Willa avoids me with only fear in her eyes. I deserved it. I let Natasha hurt her, and I didn't explain when I had the chance. She had every right to hate me. I slipt out of the cave as fast as I can. My sole existence would increase the rejection sting in her so long as Willa believed Natasha was my real mate. The sea was right out of the cave. I found the rock Willa sat on when she mindlinked us for her goodbye. I wished I had told her I wanted her back, but I didn't even let her say goodbye to Cerberus. I felt sorry for him. He didn't deserve such treatment. I never thought I would feel lonely when he wasn't around. [Where are you?] Kirsch mindlinked me. [Stay by the cave. I'll get back in a minute.] I didn't want to go back. I no longer have the peace I used to have watch
Willa's POV "I can't believe you are still smiling!" I shouted in tears, taking him into my arms, "You look pale like paper! What's going on?!" "You called me Al..." He grinned as his eyes lost focus. What?! I couldn't bring myself to call him the name that born our intimate memories, but I didn't know he cared so much. [Granny! Do you have more wolfsbane potion on you?] I mindlinked granny. I had only my potion for the day. [Why?] Granny asked, confused. She gave me my potion for the day. [Taran just blacked out. He was poisoned with wolfsbane before he came here. I also need--] I nearly bit my tongue when I remembered granny thought the Soulstorm was for Kirsch, [Just give Kirsch the potion, please!] [The potion isn't ready. I forgot he took wolfsbane. He looked normal in battle...] Granny shook her head as she looked at Al through the mind link, [Did you give him your own potion?] [Of course I did! But it's n
Taran's POV Light shone when I was drowning in painful darkness, and little by little, the world came back to me. Cerberus woke up before I did. He groveled in a corner of my mind, watching me as I came to my senses. [Cerberus?!] I wanted to move but my body wasn't quite under my control. I didn't dare imagine what had happened. The wolfsbane wore off?! How many days had passed this time?! [Sorry.] He grunted, sitting on his hind legs. [I'm sorry I drugged you again.] I apologized in surprise. That was not what I expected from him. [Fair punishment.] Cerberus grunted, dodging my eyes. He didn't know I was going to commit suicide. He thought I was punishing him. Guilt washed over me but I didn't dare let him know. [I should not punish you, I--] [Kirsch hurt.] Cerberus grunted. He had never felt sorry for hurting Kirsch before! Ever! I didn't believe Kirsch when he said Cerberus was doing better, and I did
Willa's POV "Granny! What was that all about?!" I walked up to her as she returned from her mysterious talk with Al. What could she possibly have to talk to him about?! I didn't have time to tell him I said I drugged him by mistake before he cut off the mindlink. "I told him I wouldn't let anyone hurt you again." Granny shrugged indifferently. "He had never hurt me!" I rolled my eyes in frustration. Of all the people around me, granny just went and threatened Al when he was the sole one who had never hurt me, not even a little bit! I was seriously thinking about telling granny what happened on the snow mountain. "Natasha did hurt us using his name. I have to make sure." Granny narrowed her eyes at me, "Have you talked to your Alpha?" "Well...not with all of you surrounding us!" I darted my eyes off her. Granny sighed as she tipped my chin back to her, gazing into my eyes. "You really are grown up." Granny chuckled, "Having only
Willa's POV Kirsch was panting when he got to us, apparently worried until he saw us. I blushed as I struggled to stand up from Al's lap, but he gripped my thigh and stopped me with a chuckle. "You are welcome, Cerise." Al curved his lips and Kirsch rolled his eyes. "I really need to talk to you..." I took a deep breath to calm myself from Al's fierce kiss, also to build up the courage to reveal my secret to the cold Alpha. "It DOES feel urgent." Kirsch rolled his eyes, taunting with a smirk. I buried my face in Al's neck in defeat. "Well, I guess you guys made up then?" Kirsch let out a long exhale, eyes darting between me and Al. Kirsch's chest was not fully healed, I didn't think about it until now-- Blood stained his ragged shirt. His wounds must have opened again today. "You are bleeding!" I jumped up to him before I returned to Al for my ring. I needed a cure spell. "By the way, magic?! Badass!" Kirsch came close
Willa's POVKirsch's injuries healed up fast in the next two days with the help of cure spells, and after that, we headed back to the pack at full speed. I rode on granny's back while Al rode Kirsch. We decided to not let granny know about Cerberus at all, at least not before we could make sure Cerberus wouldn't lose control again.I knew Kirsch was supposed to be powerful because he was recognized as the only beta when Al was the Alpha, but it was only after I met Rudy in his wolf form officially that I understood what that meant.Cerberus was huge, and Rudy, surprisingly, wasn't that much different from Cerberus. He was fast, and his moves were swift just like Cerberus.Of course, granny couldn't keep up with him so it still took us ten days to finally made it back.Though we didn't have to worry about rouges now, granny showed no interest in hunting. She was happy with her stone bread.Al couldn't hunt in front of granny. Though Ki
