Willa's POV
"Granny! What was that all about?!" I walked up to her as she returned from her mysterious talk with Al. What could she possibly have to talk to him about?! I didn't have time to tell him I said I drugged him by mistake before he cut off the mindlink.
"I told him I wouldn't let anyone hurt you again." Granny shrugged indifferently.
"He had never hurt me!" I rolled my eyes in frustration. Of all the people around me, granny just went and threatened Al when he was the sole one who had never hurt me, not even a little bit!
I was seriously thinking about telling granny what happened on the snow mountain.
"Natasha did hurt us using his name. I have to make sure." Granny narrowed her eyes at me, "Have you talked to your Alpha?"
"Well...not with all of you surrounding us!" I darted my eyes off her. Granny sighed as she tipped my chin back to her, gazing into my eyes.
"You really are grown up." Granny chuckled, "Having only
Yeahhhh Granny is the villain in this part :)
Willa's POV Kirsch was panting when he got to us, apparently worried until he saw us. I blushed as I struggled to stand up from Al's lap, but he gripped my thigh and stopped me with a chuckle. "You are welcome, Cerise." Al curved his lips and Kirsch rolled his eyes. "I really need to talk to you..." I took a deep breath to calm myself from Al's fierce kiss, also to build up the courage to reveal my secret to the cold Alpha. "It DOES feel urgent." Kirsch rolled his eyes, taunting with a smirk. I buried my face in Al's neck in defeat. "Well, I guess you guys made up then?" Kirsch let out a long exhale, eyes darting between me and Al. Kirsch's chest was not fully healed, I didn't think about it until now-- Blood stained his ragged shirt. His wounds must have opened again today. "You are bleeding!" I jumped up to him before I returned to Al for my ring. I needed a cure spell. "By the way, magic?! Badass!" Kirsch came close
Willa's POVKirsch's injuries healed up fast in the next two days with the help of cure spells, and after that, we headed back to the pack at full speed. I rode on granny's back while Al rode Kirsch. We decided to not let granny know about Cerberus at all, at least not before we could make sure Cerberus wouldn't lose control again.I knew Kirsch was supposed to be powerful because he was recognized as the only beta when Al was the Alpha, but it was only after I met Rudy in his wolf form officially that I understood what that meant.Cerberus was huge, and Rudy, surprisingly, wasn't that much different from Cerberus. He was fast, and his moves were swift just like Cerberus.Of course, granny couldn't keep up with him so it still took us ten days to finally made it back.Though we didn't have to worry about rouges now, granny showed no interest in hunting. She was happy with her stone bread.Al couldn't hunt in front of granny. Though Ki
Willa's POVThe travel was mostly fun, except that I couldn't get close to Al the whole time. But what got me worried was not my desire toward him, but granny's sudden interest in the silver beast. She had been directing the conversation back to the silver wolf nonstop, and we had been trying to avert it every time. She had hated rogues all her life, and we had been doing everything we could to avoid any interaction with them. But now just when my life was finally rid of the trouble, granny suddenly took an interest in the silver rogue--"Willa and I have run into a huge silver beast before, just like the one we met in the pack." One night when we were resting by the fire, granny suddenly opened a topic that none of the three of us wanted to talk about.I exchanged a nervous look with Kirsch, and Al was the one taking over the topic -- Kirsch was the worst liar, and I didn't think I had any chance at hiding a secret from granny either.Al was our b
Willa's POVGranny turned back to normal after that night's talk, but I didn't know how serious when she said we needed to kill the scary Alpha. We made it to the beach at late night before we stopped at the school to get Kirsch's car."Bye granny!" I threw my body out of the car's window for a goodbye, grabbing her arm and wouldn't let go. I still couldn't get used to the idea that I was no longer living with granny."After ten years and you are still like a child." Granny chuckled, tipping my nose, "You remember the rules, right?""What rules?" I frowned in confusion."No boys, no sex," Granny said in a very serious way, locking her eyes on Kirsch.Kirsch nodded with a chuckle: "Absolutely."What?! How was that rule still in effect?! I thought granny was okay with me being with the Alpha, though she still thought I fell for Kirsch. But with my secret in mind, I didn't dare protest to granny. As soon as we got home, Kir
Willa's POV I woke up feeling like I slept for a whole century. Al was sleeping sound beside me. The bed in my room was only a queen-size one so Al had to snuggle closer to me. I like how the sun can shine right onto the bed through the balcony's glass door. I chuckled when I realized it must be Al who finished my bubble bath for me and put the panties and the little top on me. He didn't want me to sleep naked in bed only because "I was one month away from my birthday", so wasn't that a bit off the point when he had to dress me himself? Al looked peaceful with his eyes closed. His arm still remained stretched to my side of the bed cause it was my pillow. And just seeing his angel-like face gave me a ton of evil ideas! I pulled the sheet off him slowly. He didn't wake up. He usually felt pretty safe with his boxer and T-shirt on. I reached to his shirt before I lifted its lap up a little as soft as I could, revealing his eight-pack. But
Taran's POVI knew telling Willa she was mine before she turned 18 was a mistake, but it was the only way I could get rid of the rejection sting in her chest after what Natasha did.I could smell her arousal when she woke up beside me, but there was little I could do to ease her flame besides a little teasing.Thank God there was only a month to go.I went and drowned myself in the pool after Kirsch took Willa to school. He has an office there and she would be safe. In the past, Kirsch would just use the office in the Alpha house to deal with the pack stuff when I was the Alpha, but it became too hard for him to work here alone after I turned rogue so he basically moved to the school's office.[Taran.] Kirsch mindlinked me in the afternoon. I was a bit surprised because he was going to take Willa back soon.[Yes?] I answered as I headed out of the pool, worrying it might be about Willa. But it wasn't--[Scarlett is at the door.
Taran's POV[Lair!] Cerberus jumped at me for control. He took her story as an attempt to take Willa away from him.[Clam down, Cerberus! It's just a story!] I closed my eyes shut, desperate as the feeling of the old Cerberus surfaced.I tried to remain calm in front of Scarlett: "The moon goddess pairs everyone with a mate. I'm sure even without a sane mind, the mad king--""Not everyone." Scarlett shook her head with suspicion written in her eyes, "The mad king was cursed by the moon goddess herself. Do you know why he would go for a kill?"I didn't want to know. I couldn't bear to hear more."He takes other's mate as his own. He would recognize a mate, and kill her real mate only to keep her to himself."My blood froze. As much as I didn't want to believe her, that possibility put real fear in me.She didn't know I was the mad king, or the fact that I claimed Willa as my mate -- she thought it was Kirsch. So she had no
Willa's POV It took us a couple of hours to finish the three tattoos. I was dying to go and check on Al, but Kirsch wouldn't let me leave, not even on the little breaks granny took. "The design is really pretty! I have only seen a few Runes myself, but of course, never one with real magic in it." Kirsch said as he took my hand to observe the Death spell. It took all my energy to not roll my eyes at his shoddy excuse to occupy us. Either he was afraid I was going to rape Al while granny was right downstairs, or he was really nervous about being with granny alone. Neither of those scenarios was NOT lame! "Where have you seen Runes before?" I challenged him, hoping he would let me go as soon as I could expose his lie. "In the museums." He grinned at me with an innocent smile. "It would be a mess if the world knew about magic." I squinted my eyes at him, upset that I couldn't really prove he was lying. "Runes are al
