Granny's POV
I lied to Willa.
She wasn't poisoned, she was cursed.
I had been feeding her wolfsbane ever since I took her home. Wolfsbane couldn't hurt her. The lethal poison to werewolves became Willa's best weapon. She needed protection. Wolfsbane only worked on her wolf, and her wolf could only appear on the new moon night.
Until she turns 18, that was.
That was the only way I could contain her wolf, and that only needed to last till her 18th birthday.
She would be free once the curse is broken.
I would break the curse for her.
The story of the cursed wolfless was well known in our world, but little knew the true story.
Once upon a time, there was yet any werewolf walking on the surface of the earth. The moon goddess was lonely, for she was the only goddess who possessed two forms -- a human form as the eternal virgin called Luna; and a wolf form, known as Nox.
She created our kind, and gave us her ab
Willa is born a trouble maker :)
Granny's POV I didn't know what happened exactly, but I knew Willa was heartbroken. Willa sat by the sea, mindliking Alpha Kirsch. I knew she would talk to him one last time. Though I didn't think it was possible, I knew she fell in love with the Alpha. I had the "no relationship" rule because Willa was the soul piece of the moon goddess, she wasn't assigned a mate. The moon goddess pairs mates by linking their souls together. She couldn't link her own soul with a mortal. But while Willa couldn't feel the mate pull from anyone, others could feel the pull toward her -- Being the moon goddess, she would automatically attract the Alpha of the pack she is in when she turned 18. That was how I got my mate. All I needed to do was to find her a pack with an Alpha worthy for her. Even if he has a mate already, he wouldn't be able to resist the pull toward his moon goddess. He would love Willa with all his heart. "Granny..." Wil
Kirsch's POVWe never took Cerberus's chase a serious quest. We thought it was only a symptom of his madness, and if a run could calm him, why not.But maybe Willa WAS the answer!"It makes sense!" I was more certain as I thought into my theory, "Cerberus never treated anyone like he treated Willa!"Taran hesitated: "But, shouldn't Cerberus know when he first met Willa? To know that she was the mysterious pull he felt on all those nights?""Something definitely happened to Willa on the new moon night. It can't be a coincidence that she happened to have taken wolfsbane by accident on the same night Cerberus went in rage! Whatever it was, it must be the mysterious pull!"Taran didn't say anything. But I finally saw the little sparkles of hope lighting in his eyes again."I'll get her back, and we will see next month. If it IS her, then your suffering is finally over. If it isn't, Willa would still have a pack that cared about her." I wa
Willa's POVI didn't want to put through Kirsch's mind link request because I knew he would want to help. He couldn't help unless I use magic to bring him here, and I couldn't tell him about the magic.Taran knew, but we couldn't mind link without Kirsch. There was no point to let them know I was in trouble, especially after Kirsch told me Taran took wolfsbane yet again. Why did he do that though? Soulstorm should have helped him on the new moon. Why was he drugging Cerberus yet again?I wish I could have the chance to ask him, but the Alpha blocking the cave didn't seem very friendly.[Please, Willa. Help me come to you, please!] Taran pleaded in the mind link. How could I take him away from his mate to take such a risk for me?This wasn't his fight.[I can handle it. But I need you to not mindlink me for a while, okay?] I dodged Taran's eyes. I didn't know whether I could handle the scared Alpha in front of me, but I couldn't
Willa's POV Jason knew about our magic?! And now they all knew?! [Magic? You have magic?!] Rudy repeated with a happy tone. Granny shot him a strict glare and he put away his silly smile. [Well...] I didn't want to stress that it wasn't my magic but granny's. Her magic could be taken. Maybe letting him think I had magic was better. There was no point hiding our magic from Kirsch anymore. Apparently, everybody knew about it now! So that was why Jason had been after me! He knew about our magic! Not because some phony revenge on his son. And that was why Jason didn't mention Cerberus to the Treaty! He wouldn't be able to keep my magic to himself if the Treaty stepped in. [Willa, get him here.] Granny said as she pulled me behind her. [I can handle the scary Alpha! You make the mark!] I jumped in front of granny. Granny was still weak. I would stand a bigger chance of killing the scary Alpha. [Willa!] Granny wanted to stop
Willa's POV "How many little spells do you have left, little fierce kitten?" The scary Alpha snorted as he stepped closer, "Two? Hmmm, maybe one. Your right arm doesn't bear a black ring, does it?" Evil or not, this man had a brain. "Dare come and count yourself?" I challenged him. Alphas couldn't tolerate challenges, and I didn't have too many chances to do that without consequences so I might just have my fun with him. Knowing Taran was on his way suddenly made everything bright and fun. "I'm gonna enjoy breaking you so much, fierce kitten." The scary Alpha licked his lips, his eyes flickered to his beast. "From that far? You are enjoying drooling over me alright." I teased with an evil grin. It would be great if he would come up and fight though. Taking him down would be much easier than taking down his wolf herd. "I don't get it, kitten. How do you imagine getting out of here in one piece?" The scary Alpha rose both his arm
Willa's POV [Kirsch came?! I thought he could barely move! We need to help him.] I exclaimed. The peaceful feeling I enjoyed for only a second disappeared right away. [How could he not come, little one? He cares about you.] Taran tugged the edge of his lips before he stroked my hair. I took his shaking fingers to my lips without thinking, only to realize I hadn't got to the bottom of Natasha so I let go of him quickly. Taran pressed his lips together with a restrained smile. I felt bad when I saw the sad smile on his face, but before I could say anything, a whimper came from Rudy as he crashed into the wall. [Kirsch!] I lunged at the wolves in front of me. His injuries couldn't have healed yet! I needed to help him! [I'll take care of it. Stay with your granny.] Taran pulled me up by my hoody before he handed me to granny. Granny bit my cloak before she pinned me down with her paw, eyes locking on the wolves in front of us, on guard.
Willa's POV I didn't realize I had been staring at Taran the whole time until he turned around and met my eyes. I blamed him for my stupid staring! His speech was too manly for me to resist. I darted my eyes off him in panic. Taran curved his lips. The sullen reality suddenly came back to me as he walked toward me. I almost turned and ran if I wasn't in a one-way-out cave. There were too many questions in my head, and everything happened too fast. I wasn't sure whether he lied about Nat only to save me, and though I knew they wanted to help, I wasn't sure whether they could accept my curse-like condition. "Willa--" Taran took me by my arm and I flinched back hissing. My shoulder was still hurting after James broke it. "I'm sorry, I--" Taran let go of me right away, backing a step. I took a step back and shook my head at Taran warningly. Granny didn't know about Taran! She thought I was in love with Kirsch. I couldn't let granny
Taran's POV Of all the injuries I had taken, wolfsbane was by far the worst. But I would rather drink another flask of wolfsbane, than see Willa avoids me with only fear in her eyes. I deserved it. I let Natasha hurt her, and I didn't explain when I had the chance. She had every right to hate me. I slipt out of the cave as fast as I can. My sole existence would increase the rejection sting in her so long as Willa believed Natasha was my real mate. The sea was right out of the cave. I found the rock Willa sat on when she mindlinked us for her goodbye. I wished I had told her I wanted her back, but I didn't even let her say goodbye to Cerberus. I felt sorry for him. He didn't deserve such treatment. I never thought I would feel lonely when he wasn't around. [Where are you?] Kirsch mindlinked me. [Stay by the cave. I'll get back in a minute.] I didn't want to go back. I no longer have the peace I used to have watch
