Lorenzo's POV

The following day, I got up from the patient's bed after I had regained some of my strength. Despite being on the sick bed and not going out, my ears were full of the epidemic that was dealing with the pack.

The worst of the problem was, it couldn't be identified. A lot had already died with a lot to join them soon if the cure wasn't found.

In the palace hallway, it was as silent as a graveyard with no one in sight and no audible footsteps. I scampered to the throne room which was also empty, with the absence of Alpha Kai's throne that had been turned to ashes.

Getting to the palace yard, I met Phil who was rushing back into the palace with some plants.

"My lady, you are not supposed to be walking around with your little strength and you shouldn't be out here because of the epidemic." He came to my side to support me and take me back to his lab.
