MICHELLE’s POV. Standing in front of the mirror, I can not help but admire myself. The knee length dress looks so good with the gemstones on it. ENZO’s POV. Snaking my hand around her waist, I deepen the kiss and find her tongue. Something about her keeps drawing me in and I just want to hold her in my embrace forever without letting her go or letting her shed a single tear. With this, my grip around her tighten. I am afraid she might slip away if I let her go and I am not ready for that. Her kiss is slow and gentle, full of love and warmth. NICHOLAS’s POV. A light groan leaves my lips as I close the document I am reading and I press my back against the chair. It’s been like two weeks since the divorce saga and all I can say is Natalia is settling in well but the workload is a bit too much. When Michelle was around, she helped me take care of the pack house while I focused on work and now because of Natalia's pregnancy, I told her not to work and always rest. I scoff; am I actually thinking about Michelle right now? She is part of my past and I am going to make sure she remains there. My thoughts are cut off when the door opens and Natalia saunters into the study dressed to kill as usual. ENZO’s POV. Tonight has been the most overwhelming night of my life and I need a lot of time to process what has happened but right now I am seated in my study with Melisa sitting in front of me. I had helped Michelle go to bed after we got back and we both decided to keep everything that happened a secret until we are able to figure out everything that’s going on. She had to also rest early because she is supposed to go to the hospital in the morning and that’s why I put her to bed early. I just want to finish with Melisa and crawl into bed beside her. MICHELLE’s POV. It was about 12 midnight when a knock resonated on the door and I pulled my eyes open. I was expecting to see Enzo curled up beside me but rather his sister is the one standing in front of my door with a huge grin on his face. “Izzy?” “Hmm, Enzo said to make sure you take your drugs. MICHELLE’s POV. Sitting in front of the doctor, my heart continues to beat fast against my rib cage. How I wish Enzo was here with me but he has a meeting that he can not miss but he promised to be here soon. With him beside me, I will surely feel better because right now; my whole being is in turmoil. The old man clears his throat before raising his head to meet my gaze. “Miss Michelle” he presses forward against the chair and drops the document on the table, “I have gone through your file” “What did you find?” Lawrence asks him. “It is just as you have said, we can not delay the surgery anymore, you have less than a week to live. The tumor has covered every part of your womb” My heart drops to my feet as his words filter into my ear. ENZO’s POV. Sitting in front of the sea of eyes before me, my mind is not even on the meeting going on right now. Michelle went into surgery four hours ago and how I want to be there for her but I am stuck in this meeting which she made me promise to attend. Looking back at my watch, I still have an hour before everyone is done with their pitch and I am not sure how long I can take it anymore. “Can you not go a little faster?” My voice resonates in the entire room and the man on the podium bows a little. “Yes sir” he answers and I roll my eyes at him as my thoughts go back to Michelle. I want to be beside her and let her know that everything will be fine. My thoughts are interrupted when the mobile in front of me begins to ring and when I see the caller ID, my heart skips a beat. ENZO’s POV. TWO DAYS LATER. I groan lightly as I push my body out of the chair, my head is throbbing so badly and I just need to rest it for a while but how can I? It has been two days already and Michelle is yet to wake up. Lawrence has told me it would take some time for her to wake up but I am getting apprehensive about it and most especially because she is pregnant, she can’t be out for too long. “You need to take some rest or you will break down yourself” my wolf advises but I completely ignore it and pick up my phone before dialing a number. “Send all the files to my email, I will check them out today” “Okay sir” my assistant answers from the other end, “one of the models has been involved in an accident sir, I have been calling you but you didn’t answer. She has been rushed to the hospital” I let out a heavy sigh, the show is in a week’s time and a model is involved in an accident? “How bad is the accident?” “I am not sure she will be able to perform sir”
