I opened my eyes it was still dark and I could hear my parents around me arguing.

“It’s your fault for choosing this spot,” My father said to my mother

“I didn’t know this was going to happen to her”, my mother said.

My mom was holding me in her arms, we were still near the lake. The rain and all the thunder were gone. It was once again that peaceful place that I loved. Who could have thought I almost died here a few hours ago.

“Oh thank god you are alive Eve”, my mother said as soon as I opened my eyes.

“Who did this Eve?” my father asked me. I couldn’t say anything, it took me a while to form my first words. I was still trying to breathe normally.

“It was Sam….. and Regina.” I could barely manage to say those words and I went into unconsciousness again.

I woke up again, I was feeling warm now. I found out I was back in my house and was wearing fresh clothes, I was cleaned up and in my bed, pretty warm and cozy. My bedroom was really simple, nothing fancy, I had a single bed and in one corner was my closet for clothes and on the other was a little wooden study table accompanied by a chair.

My parents had turned off the lights so it was more peaceful for me. I just wanted to stay in my bed forever and forget about what happened to me. I wrapped the quilt around me tightly. I felt safe now.

But the images kept coming back to me. The bullies laughing and Regina mocking me. Sam calling me a freak and them drowning me, the cold lake water and me struggling to break free, and then the Black wolf….who was that? I wondered.

My head started hurting again and I dozed off into the world of dreams.

I heard a loud bang and I got up with a jerk, fear in my eyes. I thought they had come back, my bullies, and they would drown me again. So out of fear, I started yelling loudly for help.

But it was my mother who had burst into my room she was carrying several bags.

“Eve baby calm down it's just mommy”, my mother tried to calm me down. It was the first time that I noticed that she looked like me, but old me. I stopped as soon as I heard her sweet voice.

She put the bags on my room’s floor and sat beside me on the bed and looked at me with motherly concern.

“Eve, how are you feeling right now?” she asked me.

I couldn’t speak or say a word. I simply stared at her for what felt like a long time and then tears started forming in my eyes. Upon seeing this my mother embraced me and we hugged for an eternity it seemed. I couldn’t stop myself from crying.

“There, there Eve, It’s all over, you are fine now my darling”, She assured me as she ran her fingers through my hair. It felt nice, I felt like a little kid again. I didn’t want her to stop. I wanted us to stay like this holding on to each other forever.

But then it ended and my mother looked into my eyes seriously.

“Now love, listen to me and listen very carefully, no if’s or but’s, you got it”, my mother told me as she wiped tears off my face. I nodded. I had absolutely no idea what was she going to say so I decided to not ask any questions and hear my mom.

“I want you to get up and get in the car honey, don’t ask questions, just do as your told, all your things are already packed and in the bags,” My mother told me and helped me get up.

“But mom…”

“No ifs or buts Eve”, my mother cut me short.

And soon enough I was in our car. It was an old black sedan, I loved it but at this moment the situation was tense. Mom looked worried as hell and my father who was in the driver’s seat was unusually quiet and staring into the distance.

What was happening, our things were already packed and in the car. All of that seemed really weird. The sky was dark and clear. I couldn’t see anything clearly outside. I wish there was some light at least. So I decided to switch on the lights inside the car but my mom’s hand stopped me with a swift motion and looked into my eyes and shook her head.

“Dad what”

“Eve, not now”, mom warned me again. So I stayed quiet and wrapped myself again in the blanket that I took from my room while going towards our car. I tried to make sense of it all but nothing made sense honestly.

My father started the car engine and we drove which felt like an eternity. Soon we stopped near the fields where I and Sam used to hang out, seeing them again I got tears in my eyes.

The car stopped with a jerk. My father looked back from his seat at me and saw tears in my eyes. He didn’t say anything at all and simply stared. It looked as though he was trying to make a decision. And then I noticed a sparkle in his eyes.

“Let’s do this”, he said to my mom.

My father and mother got out of the car and took out metal baseball bats from the trunk of the car. I got scared, what were they planning to do with them, surely they were not going to play baseball in the field right now.

“Mom, Dad….what are you doing, where are you going”, I asked them freaking out.

“Stay put love, we’ll be back shortly”, my father said and they left.

I could still see them through the car window moving cautiously. Then I saw them approach two black shadows in the distance and I heard loud cries and sounds of metal on bone.

My parents quickly came back with blood on their bats. My father handed his bat to my mother and mom put them back in the trunk. Then my parents got back in the car.

“This will teach them a lesson, those little fuckers, an eye for an eye bitches” My father said with satisfaction as he looked in the direction where they went with their bats.

“Eve you don’t have to worry now dear we took your revenge this sorry ass lot won’t be hurting anyone again in the future, we made sure of that.” My father said. Oh my goddess, they were talking about Sam and Regina. What had they done to them? I was panicking, they were after all the children of Alpha and Beta of our pack. Our whole family would be doomed.

“What did you do Dad?” I asked, scared because I knew that the answer would not be anything good.

“Oh nothing love. I broke some bones in them, that’s all, I don’t care if it's Alpha’s son or Beta’s daughter if someone puts one finger on my daughter I’m gonna fix ‘em up”. My dad said as we drove away. I was horrified at first but then I thought they deserved it, after what they had done to me.

“Everything will be alright Eve love, just go back to sleep, we’ll handle everything, leave everything to us”. My mom said and I nodded and drifted back into sleep.

“Mom, what new pack?” I asked her.“Eve dear, I think it is time you know the truth, we owe you this much”, mom said with sadness in her voice.“What truth?” I wanted to know everything. Mom heaved a sigh.“By now you might know that you are wolfless, your wolf has not shown up and you are almost of age”, I knew that now so the news didn’t hurt me as it should have.“In order to protect you and your life from our previous pack we decided to join a new pack”, mom explained further.“Our ex Alpha would have forced us to abandon you and then your life would be over, cause no wolf can survive without a pack,” mom said with tears in her eyes. I wiped her face.“We could never abandon you even if our lives are put at stake, so we ditched them, I know it is treason to abandon your pack, but the choice was you or the pack and we choose you”, She said and hugged me tightly. I started crying again.“There, there, everything is alright now Eve my sweetheart, in this new pack no one will threaten

We drove through the woods following the car of the new pack guys. And finally, we reached our destination. There was a big clearing in the middle of the woods. Right in the middle stood a very tall mansion. All in black. It sort of terrorizes you if you saw it at night. I was clearly afraid of stepping into it.Our cars parked a little distance away from the tall black building. The Gennady and Jose got out of their cars and motioned us to do the same and keep following us. I didn’t like it one bit. Everything around here seemed weird. My heart was pounding loudly as I got down from my car and followed my mom closely. I had tightly wrapped a shawl around me my mom gave me before getting out.The grass was even and neatly cut. As we got closer to the mansion I noticed trees around it which formed a sort of border, and in those trees were birds of all kinds chirping away enjoying the sunlight and going about their business. I quite liked that sight, so I relaxed a bit.We were not take

They broke the circle and from the middle, the fourth hooded person took off his hood. And what I saw made me instantly fall in love with him. I was in the middle of a field. All around me was grain ready to harvest it was about waist high and I could touch it and feel each and every little golden wheat stem just swaying so freely with the air. A spring afternoon, almost time for sunset. I could see the sun trying its best to hide behind the trees in the distance but still had enough light to illuminate the whole vast field in front of my eyes.I could hear the birds chirping away returning to their nests, where their little children were waiting for them. They probably had little chats amongst them in those sweet melodious voices of theirs with their younglings. And I wondered what would they talk about maybe they’d tell them how difficult it was to get that worm from the field because a snake was just hiding in the bushes to get them, or maybe they won’t have any talks and would tell them to go to bed immediately and no talking back.“Ha Ha Ha,” A laugh issued from my mouth.“How silly I am, birds can’t talk,”The sun was

Eve’s footsteps echoed from the cold marble walls as she walked through the gothic hallway of the old castle. The dark halls made her heart beat faster and faster, adrenalin pumping as she kept walking. The stillness was filling the atmosphere with cold. The loneliness of every single step became a true burden, and she was convinced that she was being watched; her gaze darting from one shadow to another, thrown by the flickering meagre candlelight that was cast against the walls, the patterns and patterns of light jumping in front of her eyes. The longer she stayed in this place, the more it began to feel less like the opulent residence it once was and more like a tomb to some long lost victim.Every squeak of the floorboards, every shift of the wind rattling against the cracks of the walls, brought her a new message, a vague, eerie warning that she was not alone. She ran to get a grip, goosebumps all over her.Her steps faltered momentarily, her eyes darting around, searching for any

She felt like crying but this was no time to cry she had to get up.Eve picked herself up and started climbing back up the hill with difficulty. Maybe her mother was right, she should not have meddled in this whole Maverick affair.“Stupid Eve, you just couldn’t stay put,” She said to herself.“You just had to be the one to rescue M”“You just had to be the righteous one”“And a big fuck you to you Maverick, look what you have made me do”“Silly little thing you are Eve”, she kept talking to herself. Lexy was still fast asleep her clothes discarded around her.Alpha picked up her shirt and pants, and threw them toward her.“Hey wake up, we should move,” Alpha said, he was really feeling the cold air ripping through him. He had discarded his clothes in a nearby tree before shifting. Lexy didn’t move. She was oblivious to what was happening around her.Alpha quickly searched for his clothes and finally found them beside a tree. He put them on and went to wake up Lexy.“Vampire, come on, wake up,” he gently touched her face. Lexy stirred in her sleep and opened her eyes dreamily. Alpha adored that.“You don’t know my name, really?” Lexy said and got up.“I…yes I still don’t know,” Alpha shied away from her.“too bad, you have to try harder next time,” Lexy said as she put on her clothes.“What d

He could still smell her hair on him. It smelt like strawberry. Before all this vampires were disgusting beings to him. He hated them even when someone mentioned them. Alpha Ares stood in the heart of the magical dungeon, his imposing figure shrouded by a cloak that seemed to be woven from the fabric of darkness itself. The cloak, black as a moonless night, billowed around him, its edges seemingly dancing in an otherworldly breeze. It exuded an aura of dread and malevolence, as if it were a living entity feeding on the fears of those who dared to gaze upon it.The fabric of the cloak appeared to ripple and shift, like shadows playing upon the surface of water. It possessed an uncanny depth, absorbing the feeble light that trickled into the dungeon from a mystical well adorned with the white glow of the moon. The cloak's darkness seemed to drink in the luminescence, creating an eerie contrast that heightened the sense of unease. As Alpha Ares' piercing gaze fell upon the stone table, his attention was drawn to the figure lying upon it—Maverick, trapped in the prison of his own mind. Ares' eyes, cold and calculating, were tinged with a glimmer of pity

There was an unexplainable stench of decay which was lingering heavily in the air, one couldn’t breathe in there, and every breath within the hopeless stone corridors of the dungeons was depressing. Dim torches flickered, casting eerie shadows on the damp, moss-covered walls. A chilling silence enveloped the space, broken only by distant, muffled cries of anguish that echoed through the abyss. As Maverick was mercilessly dragged along, the huge shackles with which he was bound kept on clinking with every agonizing step, and the poor soul could really feel the cold dampness of it seeping into his very bones. The corridor kept on going with no end in sight, a maze of despair that twisted and turned, offering no glimpse of hope or escape. All he could see was darkness consuming him little by little, making him feel as if he was slowly being dragged down into hell itself. The dungeon cells, like cages of despair, lined the corridor. Grotesque stains of blood and filth adorned the walls,

Eve and Sandra reached the school grounds and all they could see was a little tornado moving from one side of the ground to the other without any set pattern.Several of the warrior clan werewolves were chasing it including Beta but it was too fast. A swirling vortex of dark clouds materialized above the tornado, crackling with electric energy. The wind was spiraling and howling. It was too risky to get close but surprisingly Beta and pack members were still trying to catch it somehow.“What in the actual F…is happening here?” Sandra exclaimed, mouth gaping. Eve had the same reaction. Students on the grounds were running back toward the school building, some cheering, some screaming. It was chaos.“Look a hand,” Eve pointed to a hand that was visible for only a split second in the tornado.“What?”“Where”“Look, there….” Eve pointed again. The dust once settled and undisturbed, now danced and twirled in chaotic harmony, caught within the powerful currents of the tornado's wrath.“Shit
