THIRTY NINE

Ruth’s POV

The intimidating man has a smirk on his lip, my new friend john scowls and he doesn’t look happy to see him.

“Davidson, what are you doing here in my territory?" John growls, making the man he called Davidson to tear his gaze away from me.

“I was hoping we could talk,” he says in a deep but soft voice, looking into my eyes one more time.

“About what?” ask John. “You know where I stand, whatever war you launch against other packs, I’m not in for it,” he declares solemnly. The man sighs and smile at me.
