Micheal POV

I sat in my living room, sipping my coffee, when Michael Beta walked in, looking troubled.

"Hey, man," I said, concerned.

Michael Beta took a seat. "I need to talk to you about something."

I nodded, intrigued.

"It's about Emily," he said, his voice low.

"Emily?" I repeated.

Michael Beta's eyes locked onto mine. "The woman I've been seeing."

I raised an eyebrow. "You're serious about her?"

Michael Beta nodded. "I am. But there's something bothering me."

I leaned forward. "What is it?"

Michael Beta took a deep breath. "She was once in love with someone else. Someone who rejected her."

I frowned. "And that's bothering you?"

Michael Beta's eyes turned jealous. "Yes. I can't shake the feeling she's still in love with him."

I understood his concern. "You feel threatened."

Michael Beta nodded. "I do. I know it's irrational, but I can't help it."

I placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Michael, you need to talk to Emily about this."
