Michael POV

I opened the door to find Anderson standing alongside Sandra, his expression serious.

"Mike, we need to talk," Sandra said, her eyes pleading.

I stepped aside, allowing them to enter.

Anderson's presence made me uneasy, but I knew this conversation was inevitable.

"Sandra's told me about your concerns," Anderson began, his voice calm. "I understand why you're hesitant."

"Hesitant?" I scoffed. "You're Vincent's cousin. That's a recipe for disaster."

Anderson's jaw clenched. "I know my family's history, Mike. But I assure you, my loyalty lies with Sandra and your family."

I raised an eyebrow. "How can I trust you?"

Anderson took a deep breath. "Because I love Sandra, and I'd never harm her or anyone she cares about. Vincent's actions are not mine to own."

Sandra placed a gentle hand on my arm. "Mike, I know you're worried, but Anderson's genuine. He's been helping us uncover Vincent's plans."
