Vincent POV

I paced back and forth in my office, my mind racing with worry. Ruth had been missing for weeks, and I had no idea where she was or if she was even safe. I had tried calling her, but her phone went straight to voicemail. I had tried tracking her, but she seemed to have vanished into thin air.

Just as I was starting to lose hope, my phone rang. It was John, "Vincent, I have some news," he said, his voice serious. "I found out where Ruth is. She's at school, trying to start a new life."

I felt a mix of emotions: relief that she was safe, but also angry at myself for how I have abused her while she lives in my pack.

"What's going on, John?" I asked, trying to keep my cool. "Why did she leave?"

"It has to do with my mate, Vincent," John replied. “She said it has something to do with the argument that happened between my mate and I. She doesn't want to break my relationship with my mate. And she's trying to move on."
