Mountain

The hill I refused to climb earlier? I later climbed it up, but Jordan took me on a different route, one that was even more difficult.

"Why are you so evil?" I confronted him, feeling pissed and pained that he really was going to put me through all this stress.

"You will never get to handle your real self if you are not well broken. Your will first, and that is what we are doing now. Refuse to do it now but I promise you, you will eventually come back for it and by then, you will be going up and back seven good times."

I took that as a threat and decided to get on with it once and for all. Climbing took hours and I was almost close to thinking that we were on Mount Everest. Eventually, I got so worn out that I could not keep going any longer. I had the will to but my body was declining.

Out of his mercies like he had said, Jordan had me rest for a few minutes and got me back on my feet again. We walked up all the way and nobody announced it to me when we got to the very top.

I was already feeling a pain in my chest, and very thirsty also. Even though I felt a little excited that we finally got up there, my eyes were literally dimmed. I was so exhausted!

Out of nowhere, Jordan stretched forth a jar of water for me to drink. As I raised my weak hand to receive it, it went back to the ground, my last energy was leaving me, I was basically on Zero!

Feeling almost lifeless there, I felt someone hovering around me. I could blurrily see Jordan's face over me, and I felt he was trying to make sure I drank from the jar.

"Just a sip." I faintly heard.

I felt some cold liquid touch my lips, then drop into my mouth. Just a little amount, and that minute my visions went black, the next minute I could see the sky clearly and my eyes were so widely opened.

It was already evening. I tried lifting my body and realized that I could do it. Sitting up, I looked around for the person who brought me here but there was no sight of me.

"Jordan did not leave me here, did he?" I muttered quietly to myself as I got up on my feet.

I looked in closely again but he was nowhere to be found. The thousand mile eyes? Not functioning. My super hearing? Nothing.

What was going on?

I started to slowly take the path we took when we were coming up, intending to go down. I felt so scared at that mountain top and just wanted to go down already.

"Jordan." I called, not stretching my voice, for the fear of a re-echoing in that forest. There was no response. Where could he have gone, leaving a young, harmless lady alone in this thick greenery.

"Jordan Reign." I called again and got no reply, then fear really gripped my heart. Maybe... something had happened to him? But I doubted it. Jordan himself was something to happen.

I could barely see in the dark, I had left my phone in Forever Penthouse so there was no source of light. Then I remembered the dragon flies and fireflies, I would really need them then but I did not know how to reach out to them.

Apparently, I think Jordan was in their charge so only he had the power to control them.

"Jordan!" I raised my voice this time around and the sound of my whole voice across the forest scared me.

Just by the weird rattling of leaves, my senses got unnecessarily triggered. There were strange bird sounds, there was an Owl's too.

I did not even know where I was headed but I kept on walking and wandering. Then the moon shone out of the blue. I did not remember seeing it in the sky earlier but it shone and I could see a bit more clearly.

Suddenly, I heard a sound from afar, like that of a human. It was a sound of terror, like they were in trouble or something. I faced the direction it was coming from with no plan in my mind.

Soon, the sound of that human stopped. I no longer heard anything and that was even scarier.

A few seconds passed by, I was still standing on one spot without a reason, then while standing there, I felt a shadow covering up my whole being.

It's shadow was very huge and I needed none to tell me it was not a human. There was danger, I could sense that too.

"Run!" I heard myself scream in my mind and my legs started moving so fast.

I had never run so fast in my entire life but I did it that day, effortlessly as if my whole life depended on this race.

The mysterious creature did not stop chasing after me and I was already running out of breath.

"Jordan please, come." I cried as I ran, fear was really getting to me.

The creature howled so loudly in a deafening manner as it ran after me.

The loud sound of it literally deafened my ears and in some way affected my head. I was hit with a severe headache and fell to the floor, with a very loud thud!

"Arghhh!" I groaned in agony.

The creature lifted itself from the ground, coming to pounce on me. I was ready and not ready at the same time, but I kept praying. "Come. Come. Come." My heart could only release those words.

As it was close to hitting me, a force hit it, making it fall to my side.  Before I could look in the direction that was coming from, a few energies got released on that creature and I heard it take its last breath.

"Ugh.." I moaned as I turned my head to look at who did that, hoping it was Jordan really. And if it was not him, it did not matter.

"Why did you leave the mountain?" He asked.
