Ancient Wolf

I had never been so stunned. I pulled away immediately but the truth was, that short session of closeness, I enjoyed it but I was not supposed to.

"What do you think you are doing?" I was deeply frowned, restraining myself from hitting him.

"Your lips just looked..."

"Stop! Just...stop it!" I cut him off. His personality had suddenly changed there and I was even confused on whether this was the same person that said harsh words to me earlier.

What had gotten into him?

In a split second, he was back to the person I knew. The cold, straight person. "I thought you wanted to leave earlier? Why did you follow the flies?"

He inquired and still frowning, I placed my hands on my waist, standing akimbo.

"I never knew they were bringing me to you. Why would I suddenly want to return to you after all the bashing?"

"I bashed you?" He raised a brow dramatically and I glared at him. "Then what was that earlier?"

"It is the truth, young lady, is it not?"

He sent me mute for a while there, then I countered him.

"Is this what we came here for? I let go of my day off for this?"

"You turned things around the moment you turned around to leave." He said to me.

"But you would not tell me where we were heading to! For hours there we kept climbing hills and mountains and for a second, I wondered if we were in a hiking competition." I defended myself sternly.

"Well, there is no way around it. That was just the first phase of the training. Wolves naturally and good hill climbers, I guess it's just your nature." He explained.

"Can we not do that first? I believe knowledge is what I need right now." I softened my eyes. The training was obviously hard and I had not gone halfway into it yet.

"I am not sure you want it."

"I do!" I asserted firmly.

"Mira Silver, are you sure about that?" He asked and there was a little constraint in my heart. He would not be asking me if I was sure if that information I was about to receive was not a huge one.

"I...am...sure." I stuttered.

Standing there right in the cave, Jordan Reign opened his mouth and started revealing mysteries about myself to me, in a measure.

"You are an ancient and rare breed from your pack, that only emerges once every hundred years." He started with that and I just stood there, staring at him.

"Can you stop playing games with me?" I frowned.

"I knew you were not prepared for this. Forget about it then." He concluded and started making his way out of the cave while I followed him closely, feeling anxiety and impatience at the same time.

"Wait, hold on, Mr...Jordan, I...I don't get what you are saying. And, I am totally prepared, trust me. Just..Jordan please." I begged him, stammering as I followed him.

"Leave it, lady. You could really lose it, now is not the time." He replied to me, not even sparing me a glance as the natural brightness shone on his skin when we stepped out of the dark cave.

"Then when is the time?!" I yelled, getting close to losing it, really. "I have waited over 25 years of my life and I am not old enough or mature enough to know whatever it is that is going on with me? It is confusing enough that I suddenly have a thousand miles eyes and super sharp ears, and that I have never had enough put me through this tough phase of my life but now i have someone and, what now?" I ranted angrily, swearing innerly not to cry.

I guess my reaction had him held down. He turned around and faced me for the first time in a while. "It is what I said. You are not just any kind of breed, and I guess you got recently heartbroken, or you were in danger, before this wolf only gets awoken when its host is experiencing such."

I was taken aback, squinting my eyes as I looked at him, I wanted to doubt him but what if he stopped talking? Could it have been possible that he made that up?

I was more than confused. So, I was not a regular wolf, and...it was definitely awoken because of what happened with Adrien and his family?

 And that wolf was...Kierra?

"But, why was I born an Omega?" I furrowed my brows because they were not so adding up.

He stared right into my eyes emotionlessly. "When a powerful one is discovered right at birth, its life will be earnestly sought." That was his response.

A very witty and clever one.

I meditated on his words and those things he said to me started to make sense. Maybe it was true but I found it so hard to believe that I, like, Mira Silver had this kind of powerful potential in her, and she had been living an ordinary life all these while.

"So what about my abilities, energies and power?" I asked out of the blue, after a very long silence. We were heading to somewhere I did not even know but at that point, my heart was trusting him even subconsciously.

"You know those better, young lady. Now, your chance to ask me questions is over, no more questions please. Find the rest out yourself." He replied coldly and I could tell that he sounded like that on purpose.

"Why won't you tell me??" I whined maturely.

"Nothing is free. Sono io che pagherò." He was speaking Italian again, made me think I could trace his background down to Italy. Maybe he was one of those Italian supernatural creatures.

Translating what he had said in my mind, I got stuck and confused.

'I am the one who will pay'.

I stared at him from behind as he walked stoicly, what did he mean by that?
