It's Nothing So Rest

The leather coat Karima got for me turned out to be so nice on me. I stepped out of the room and had breakfast with her, then we started heading to the resort in her car.

I felt the strong urge to ask her who she really was, I believed that would answer every other question that I had for her.

After raising what turned out to be a false alarm about a dying person, she did not flinch or scold me at all, as if she knew and understood what i was talking about.

My head was filled with these thoughts that I did not realize she was talking to me.

"What did you say?" I asked her, after getting to realize that she was speaking to me.

"You look lost, Mira. What's the problem?" She inquired, looking at me and also tried to focus on the wheel at the same time.

"Oh, it's just...a few things bothering my mind." I let out, hoping to lead something but I decided to back down.

"Care to share them?" She asked nicely and alluringly.

"No, I would not want to bother you. I will get it sorted out." I replied to her and she did not press any further.

When we were still some miles away from the resort, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my eyes and then it extended to my head. I felt madly bothered.

Opening my eyes, I could see the resort clearly, the exterior and everything going on there. How cars were moving in, getting parked and humans walking into and around the resort.

This also happened last night when I changed into my wolf form and it was happening again. A hundred miles sight. Was my wolf really here?

So unbelievable.

We arrived at the resort and I could confirm solely that everything I saw earlier was it. The cars that were parked outside, I could see them. The movement of people, even though inaccurate which was normal, it was happening.

I scoffed quietly, feeling crazy. As soon as Karima parked the car, I got off it. We both walked into the huge reception area and as soon as we got in, I felt my ears stretch unsually, then I started hearing different voices.

"What's this?" I muttered gently as I held my forehead in my palm. There were numerous, various voices and different talks.

I took my second hand to my head also and halted in my steps, which definitely had Karima stop too.

"Are you okay, Mira?" I heard her voice faintly.

"I.." I was going to speak but the feeling became unbearable and I blacked out.

Waking up about an hour later in a room, I pondered on what happened back there. I tried tracing it to the wolf form I had shifted into last night but I did not remember hearing voices so loudly like that.

I sighed deeply. The fact that all the excitement I had built over the years to meet my wolf had died was a big killer.

Now, strange things were happening without anyone to give explanations to them.

All of a sudden, I remembered about the training and I checked the time on the wall clock.

"Shit!" I swore seeing it was past the starting time of the training. I had a very long way to go and there was no way I was getting eliminated at the beginning point.

As I got off the bed, I heard a voice say to me. "Don't bother, Mira."

It was Karima. Yeah, I was with her before I passed out. I turned to see that she was actually sitting on a couch in the room and has been watching me the whole time.

'She must think I am crazy.' I thought, biting my lower lip.

"I guess I have missed the training already." I said to her and she smiled slightly, shaking her head.

"It does not matter, Mira." She replied.

"But it does! I am getting eliminated obviously. It's the third and last training." I argued and she smiled again.

Then she stood up and walked over to where I was, taking slow strides.

"Whether you get the training or not, you are meant to be here, miss."

My pupils quivered as I opened my mouth to ask, "Wh... what do you..mean?" I was ready to read a supernatural meaning to her statement.

She chuckled. "You have forgotten so quickly? Travis Coles, he got you a job as a lobby agent even before the training. So apart from the other twenty nine, you have been chosen to work here anyways. The training was just to have you prepared mentally and get an idea of what we do here." She explained, then it made sense to me.

I could vividly remembered Travis telling Karima I would be joining her team. I had not seen him since then though...

"So, just get some rest here. You will start working as a lobby agent in team 2 tomorrow, officially." She declared and I nodded gently, sitting at the edge of the bed.

As she attempted to walk out of the room, I raised my voice. "Where..are you going?"

"I have work to do, miss Mira." She replied. Then it struck me, something was not right.

"Karima," I reached out again, having her step and turning around fully to face me.

"What is it?" She arched her brows.

"Why..aren't you asking me.. questions? I mean, I passed out of the blue, probably muttering strange words but you are not saying anything about it." I pointed out, feeling too suspicious.

She crinkled her face. "I guess you were stressed out? You had dark circles around your eyes earlier this morning and I guessed you did not get any or enough sleep today." She countered reasonably.

Was that really it? I stared straight into her eyes to see if I would notice anything but there was nothing. It looked like she was really telling the truth.

"Or...is there more..to it?" She further asked and I shook my head vigorously, wearing an insincere smile.

 "It's nothing."
