9Am Tomorrow

I later got his profile and I diligently went through it on the computer in my allocated space. It was a general office for the team but her spaces were demarcated well. Only the team leads, Karima and Leo, had their own special offices.

My space wasn't bad actually. It was well furnished and we had a kitchen room where we could eat lunch, make instant coffee and tea, too.

Leo forwarded the VVIP guest's profile to me and I was quick to go through it.

Jordan Reign, 30, he barely talks-prefers to listen and observe, that was very obvious at our first meeting. He prefers a perfectly quiet environment, loves nature...and I guessed that was why his suite was openly facing the ocean, with green trees around, it was also stated that he was cranky and short-tempered.

He loved absolute order and efficiency, cigars, and classical music. His dislikes stated noise and disorder, unnecessary attention, I guessed he preferred staying in the shadows. He hated it when people talked too much, we had that in common. 'No ginger' was stated there too, for his foods and drinks.

Beyond all of these, I was still very shocked because he looked so much like the man I had seen in the pool that day, bleeding. They looked exactly like each other. The dark brown eyes with blood shots, the hair colour, the face...I could not tell about other parts but the face I was very sure of.

He clearly saw me that day too but seeing him now, he did not flinch a bit as if he had never seen me. We did not even have any eye contact and I doubted he saw me.

I was so torn and could not get it out of my mind. The profile ended with the picture of the guy who was with him earlier who turned out to be his personal assistant, bodyguard and right hand. All three in one. Kai Wren. There was nothing like his background or businesses in the profile.

I relaxed in my seat and sighed, impatiently glancing at the clock each minute while waiting to get an order from Karima to attend to any of his needs. Working hours finally ended without getting a call from his suite.

Leo stepped out of his office to the general office carrying a list.

"The following names are those who will be on the night shift, to serve our guest, Mr. Jordan Reign." He announced and I swallowed hard, my heart racing. I wished to death that he would call 'Mira Silver'. I had always wanted to go home but this time around, I was crazily yearning to wait behind for the night.

"That's all. You all know the rules, nobody gets to switch shifts." He declared and my jaw dropped. He mentioned five names without calling my name.

I sighed and gritted my teeth. The annoying part was, I did not know how long he would be staying at the resort. He could be leaving the next day even, and that would be the end of it.

I removed the band holding my hair in a ponytail and ran my fingers through my hair. It was that serious. I really needed to do something fast! And it was already in his profile the kind of person he was, not approachable at all. It didn't look like it would be possible to get through to his P.A. too.

"Not heading home, Mira?" I had Karima say and I looked up to see her standing behind me.

Immediately and clumsily, I got out of my chair and stood up. "I...I'm heading home now. I was preparing to." I replied her as I hurriedly shut down the computer and picked my phone. I came here with nothing else.

Karima smiled. "You are yet to take off your uniform." She pointed out and I let out an 'oh'. I had actually gone to work in a causal outfit as was the supposed norm, then changed into the uniform at work. Karima had changed into her causal wear too.

"Just two minutes please." I gave her cute puppy eyes as I ran off to the changing room meant for the females. I changed into a pair of jeans and a modest cropped knitted top.

We headed to the ground floor, and outside to the designated parking lot.

"But aren't you supposed to stay the night?" I asked her. She was the team lead after all and was supposed to supervise everything.

"Yeah, I have the whole evening to myself then I will return later, around 9 PM. Leo is on duty right now." She replied as we got into the car.

The evening was quite warm and I contemplated what to have for dinner. I was suddenly craving something delicious.

"I would like to treat you to dinner, Karima." I suddenly said out of the blue. It took me a lot of courage to say that even though I was getting quite comfortable with her already, not so much though.

She chuckled softly. "Why?"

I furrowed my brows, not expecting that question. "Because I want to. I cook so well, by the way." I said to her.

"Oh, haven't seen you done that before. You seemed to have lost all interest in eating well when we first met, what happened?" She asked.

"Hm. That's a story for another day. You are down for dinner at my place?" I asked again and she nodded.

 "Gladly."

There was silence for a while as we drove into the main city, heading to our apartment complex.

"Can you play the piano?" She asked randomly.

  "Uh...yes, I can. Why?"

I had always played the piano since I was a child but I stopped immediately I got married to Adrien. He was not so interested in it so I gave it up. But I played so well before then and now I was not so sure if my skills were still there.

"Beautiful. I would like you to play a classical piece, live. It's for our guest."

My ears stretched and my eyes widened on hearing that. "Mr. Jordan?"

She nodded and my heart started pounding against my chest. Nervousness took me over. This was more like a chance to meet with him but I felt something was not adding up.

I kept my cool, anyway. I should not appear desperate.

"Why me? We could just play a recorded piece by one of the top pianists in the world." That was very true. Greenville had all it took to get a grand pianist to play for Jordan Reign.

"Mr Jordan is a deluxe yet simple personality." She responded and that was it.

"9 AM tomorrow, you play for him in his room. There's a piano in there already. And I also have one in my apartment, if you would love to rehearse." She instructed and I just nodded.
