I nodded, feeling a mix of emotions coursing through me. "You're right. I shouldn't let fear guide my decisions. This child is a blessing, and I will do my best to cherish and protect them."

Richard placed a hand on my shoulder, offering reassurance. "I'm here for you every step of the way, Melissa. We will figure things out together. And in the meantime, I think it would be a good idea for you to resume work in my company as soon as possible."

I looked at him, slightly taken aback. "But what about my pregnancy? Won't it affect my ability to work?"

Richard shook his head, a determined look in his eyes. "We will make the necessary accommodations to ensure your comfort and safety. I believe keeping yourself busy with work will help you focus on the positive aspects of your life and distract you from any negative thoughts or doubts."

His words resonated with me, and I realized he was right. Diving into work would provide a sense of purpose and help me shift my focus away from the uncertainties surrounding my pregnancy.

"Thank you, Richard," I said, gratitude filling my voice. "I appreciate your support and understanding. I will do my best to excel in my new role and embrace this unexpected journey."

He smiled warmly, his gaze filled with encouragement. "I have faith in you, Melissa. You're stronger than you think.”

“Thank you Richard, and I promise not to let you down in anyway…I would try my best to be the best worker you had ever employed, just trust in me.” I said to Richard while reassuring myself from within that this was a chance for me to do better and start a new life,from all the suffering I had have to pass through in my life.

The next morning, Richard bought a new suit for me and told me to tag alone while he introduced me as the new worker in the office.

I was so happy that someone finally found a good worth for me, I was not going to be just a random person but was going to be a civil worker in the human realm, this was all sounding so unreal….it felt like everything was finally going great just the way I wanted it to be.

Here I was thinking his company was just going to be a random company but when I got there it turned out to be a huge company, that was more like a skyscraper.

“Wow.” I whispered to myself as me and Richard walked towards the company.

“Don’t worry I made sure you would be working in the main branch so I could keep a close eyes on you at all times, the city can be scary at times.” Richard said escorting me as guards also followed behind us fully armed.

As Richard and I walked into the grand lobby of the company, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. The whispers of the employees filled the air, and I could sense their curiosity about my presence and my connection to Richard.
