Chapter 1

Olivia, who was 20 years old at that time, began to look for the whereabouts of her mate, she had a dream like the others, she hoped that whoever Alpha became her mate could love her wholeheartedly, not just because of the Moon Goddess' wish.

Olivia lives with her roommate, Lea. The two of them shared many stories, the thing they always told before going to bed was how they met their Alpha and who found it first.

Olivia sleeps and dreams, dreams that she always encounters every time she sleeps. The dream kept appearing in her sleep. She didn't know what made her like that, she seemed to have been rejected by her Alpha, even though they had never met.

Two years passed, Olivia survived with her weak body, she started working at a company, only became an employee there, she had to leave at 8 am and come home at 5 pm. That's what Olivia has been doing all along, she also still lives in the same apartment, waiting for her best friend to come back.

At work Olivia also has a friend, they are close because they have the same thoughts and likes, Olivia likes watching movies, and so does her friend, she is Emma. They often exchange films or watch movies together at the cinema on weekends.

At that time before returning from work, Olivia and Emma went to the toilet. Olivia stood in front of the mirror washing her hands in the sink and Emma stood beside her checking her makeup.

"Are you okay?" Emma said.

"Yeah, just a little dizzy but I'm okay" Olivia said.

"Have you taken your medicine?" Olivia just nodded.

Emma stopped checking her face and turned to Olivia. She could see from Olivia's face, if she was lying. Her face was pale, sweat was also coming out of her forehead, she seemed to be in pain. Emma closed the water tap in front of Olivia.

"Stop, you hurt your hands if you wash your hands like that" Emma said.

"What happened to you?" Olivia just stared at Emma, she herself didn't know what was wrong with her, the doctor also couldn't give any diagnosis. The symptoms were exactly what she thought, but the problem was, she didn't know who her mate was and why her mate rejected her.

She just kept on taking painkillers, to endure the pain in her body. She felt like she was about to die. Even though the pain doesn't appear all the time, every time it appears it is quite difficult for Olivia.

Olivia returned to her desk and started working, there were many files waiting for her.

"Yes, can I help you, sir?" Olivia said.

"Mr. Liam called you to his room" Olivia's eyes widened, only certain people could go in there, or people he would fire.

"Me? But why?" Olivia said.

"You can come inside if you want to know why" The man said and Olivia turned to Emma who had noticed her first.

"What happened?" Emma said from her desk.

"I don't know" Olivia said and went to her boss's room.

She knocked on the door before being let in by her boss. She slowly stepped into the room. It's very cold in there, the smell is also very sweet, she doesn't know what it is because the air freshener or his scent spreads all over the room, but it's very sweet.

"Good afternoon sir, can I help you?" Olivia ventured to ask first, her boss was just busy staring at the laptop before finally looking at her who was already standing in front of him.

"Please sit" Liam says and Olivia sits down.

"I don't have much time, I'll just get straight to the point, you can see that the secretary's desk outside my room is empty, Mrs. May is no longer working at this company, I'm busy and she's pregnant, it's very difficult for me and I've seen the work of several employees here and you are the best among them, I don't say they are bad, but you send your work faster among them and I like the way you work, I want you to be my secretary" Liam said, Olivia was just watching him, she didn't say anything, it seemed like she was still focused on the fragrance in the room. It was enough to distract her focus because it smelled so good.

"I'm sorry but what air freshener did you use for this room sir?" Olivia said.

"What? Didn't you hear what I said earlier?" Liam said.

"No, ah I mean yes I heard, you want me to replace Mrs. May as your secretary, but the smell in this room really distracts me, sir"

"I don't use any fragrance for this room. My nose is very sensitive so I don't like fragrances"

"Really? But.. this room smells really good"

"Can we back to our discussion? What is the reason you came to this room?" Liam said.

"Ah yes sir, I'm sorry"

"So what's your decision? I need a definitive answer because my schedule has started to fall apart after she's not around" Olivia really wanted the job, she could earn a lot more money and a much more interesting experience.

"Yes sir, I accept your offer" Olivia said.
