The Knife

I was disturbed by Aldo's words, when he said that I would never be able to understand Harper. There was no side of me that would understand Harper's attitude, and how my side was so blind to see that.

“What are you doing here Mabel? Why are you still here? Call a doctor now!” I said.

Mabel lowered her head, she obediently followed my orders. I approached Harper, but she stepped away from me. I thought she would just leave, but instead she took a kitchen knife, and thrust it at me.

“Are you still not satisfied? Okay, do it properly now! Take this knife, cut my body more,” she said.

I shook my head, not understanding Harper's train of thought. I mean, did he think I was a murderer now? I didn't find pleasure in killing, but it was part of my job.

While I like to toy with my prey before hurting them, this isn't it. Harper doesn't understand the darkest parts of me, and I don't understand what she's thinking right now.
