Handle It?

For a few days, I was surprised because some strangers were passing by around my pack area. They were all human, and their faces were new, so it was easy for me to suspect them. I didn't understand, but they were just passing by and didn't approach my residence at all.

"They found a body in the woods," Agnes reported something shocking to me, even though it was still early in the morning. I hadn't even finished my morning tea.

"What?"

"I got a report from the he-wolves who were hunting. They found a man's body in the woods, and you know, this has never happened before."

I took a deep breath, trying to calm down about this situation. No matter how I digested it, it seemed like I had to put all the pieces together. I found myself drowning in the choices I had made.

"Does Uncle Luke know about this?"

"Not yet, he took the he-wolf teenagers to train in the heart of the forest, so they haven't returned since last night, probably because they camped there."
