Chapter 100

The pain was too much for me to bear. I could feel the power getting ready to explode out of me. My grief fueled its intensity, making every heartbeat a blazing inferno. The room blurred around me, my vision tinted with hot, angry tears as I cradled Brax's lifeless body.

"Luna, please," Brax's voice was faint, a ghostly whisper in the whirlwind of my anguish. My head snapped to his face, but his body was still lifeless. Then, a warm hand touched my face, making me look to see a glowing Brax standing in front of me.

"Brax? How is this possible?" My voice trembled, disbelieving yet desperate.

"Luna, listen to me. You must control it. Don't let your grief destroy everything." His eyes, so full of love, pierced through my pain.

"But I can't... I can't live without you," I choked, feeling the energy raging within me like a caged beast, desperate to be unleashed.
