Ten years later...

I watched my ten-year-old pups running around, and my chest swelled with pride. They were growing to be energetic and strong wolves, just like me. They had their mother's eyes but possessed my dark hair.

"Hey, stop fighting!" I warned them as I saw Andrew tackling Rhys to the ground. Despite being twins, they were widely different from each other.

Andrew was outgoing and adventurous, while Rhys was more reserved and cautious. But they both shared a strong bond, which I knew would only grow stronger as they matured.

I heard a rustling in the bushes and immediately went on high alert. As an Alpha, it was my duty to protect my family and territory. But as I saw my Beta emerge from the bushes, I relaxed.

"Lucas, what brings you here?" I asked.

Lucas smiled at me, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Just checking up on my favorite Alpha and my nephews," he said, approaching us. Lucas was my best friend and the only one I trusted to have around my family.
