Applause rang out in the conference room and Clary’s cheeks heated up. She was not used to that kind of attention. She could not breathe too well and her throat was constricting. Everyone clapped; everyone but Selena. The Luna had a tight frown on her face as she sat next to Levi. She kept glaring at the omega, anger still brewing in her. Clary stood to her feet when the noise had died, everyone stared at her and her heart pounded in her chest. Her breathing was heavy and sweat beads formed on her forehead even though it was not even hot. “Uh…” She began, dragging the word as she tried to avoid the many eyes on her. “As Alpha Ace said, I am Clary Astoria, an omega of this pack. I was chosen by the Moon goddess as a savior; as the one who would deliver us from the evil that loomed over us.” The councilmen and councilwoman glanced at each other and waited for the omega to tell them about Star. That was why they had gathered there; not to hear anything else but to know whether their
Clary could not stop looking in the mirror, she stared at her reflection. She could swear that she had seen Star and that he was smiling at her. “I am not crazy,” She mumbled to herself as she continued to stare in the mirror. Her heart was pounding in her chest and anxiety ate her up. She reached for the tap and turned the water on, causing water to begin to flow out of it. She proceeded to wash her face and a small feeling of relaxation swept over her. Maybe she was just tired and paranoid. Star was dead, right? She had seen him die right before her eyes. She then turned off the tap water and headed out of the bathroom, making sure to take with her a paper towel so she could dry her face. The moment she stepped out, she ran into Selena. “Are you okay?” Selena asked her. Clary was taken aback, she did not expect the Luna to be compassionate or caring in any way. She squinted her eyes as she stared at Selena with a look of suspicion. “I’m okay, I guess.” She proceeded to
Clary’s hand burned in pain and she waved it around gently, trying to soothe the pain. She looked at Selena and saw that the left side of her face was red like a tomato, it was where Clary had slapped her. It felt good that she had defended herself against Selena for the first time but maybe it felt too good. Something was not right and although Clary could not put her hand on it just yet, she knew that it just wasn’t. “You…you slapped me,” Selena managed to say, as tears escaped her eyes. “You slapped me,” Her voice broke. “I’m carrying the heir of the pack and you hit me!” She cried. “I–...” Clary did not know what to say. Her boldness was thining and insecurity and fear began to fill her up. Yeah, standing up for herself felt good but that was not the kind of person she was. She was the kind of person that didn’t call back the waiter when their order was mixed up by mistake. She was the kind of person that did not ask for an apology when someone stepped on her toes by mistake.
Clary was fighting to bring herself back to reality. She had already been pulled out of the vision but it was like she was in a trance-like state, unable to get herself free from it. Then after a few more minutes of struggling, she finally jerked awake. Her body was in a cold sweat and her heart was thundered in her chest. She sat up and realized that she was no longer on the bed. Clary was now on the floor and a sticky substance smeared her arms. The lights were off so she could not tell what the substance was but she was intrigued. With fear still filling her heart from the vision she had just had, she stood to her feet and almost slipped. It seemed like what she had almost slipped on was the same substance that was on her hands. She made a small groaning noise as she found her way to the light switch. She made no hesitation or delay to turn on the light but when she did, she wished that she had never done that. The substance that was on her hand and on the floor was clear to s
Calry did not believe that she had heard her mom correctly. “You asked Selena for help? Mom, are you serious? Selena hates me!” She cried. Everything was getting worse. The omega felt tears build up in her eyes again. “Okay, listen, I didn’t ask her for help. I had no choice. She caught me when you were in the bathroom.” “How?” Clary exclaimed, feeling frustrated. “Okay, I was cleaning the blood by the window and I heard a knock at the door. It was not a subtle knock, it was a bit loud and demanding. I tried to ignore it for a few seconds and it stopped,” Sarah began. “But only for the door to start to get unlocked out of a sudden. It was abrupt and I was taken by surprise, I did not know what to do,” She continued. “And?” Clary wanted to know the whole story and wanted no details to be left out. She hated that her life was now in the hands of the one person that hated her guts so badly. “Um…” Sarah gulped. “It was Selena, she walked into the room and saw everything. You
“Are you Clary Astoria?” One of the officers asked, his tone hard and icy. “No, no, it’s not her. Clary’s the one that’s inside. She’s the one that killed the guard. This is her mom,” Selena explained. “Ma’am, can you please step aside?” The same officer asked, taking a step forward.Sarah was stunned. She could not get over Selena calling the police; Clary was right about the Luna. “Oh my gosh, Clary was right. You can’t be trusted,” Sarah spat the words at the Luna and scoffed. Selena did not care how Clary’s mom perceived her. She had been given an opportunity to get rid of the omega and her baby, there was no way that she was going to let it slide. “Get out of our way, ma’am,” The officer said, his voice gradually rising in volume. “Mom?” Clary sensed the commotion at the door and walked in the direction to check it out. “Mom, is everything okay?” She asked but when she reached the door and saw the scene, she immediately knew what was going on. She knew that what she had pr
Hi there, First of all, I want to say thank you to all the readers for being along on this journey with Clary. I love this book and the characters feel so real to me, they really matter to me. I am an international student that has to juggle school, social life, and taking care of my three nephews; so if I don't post for a day or two, I hope there is some compassion and understanding. As for the length of the book, I saw that someone complained that it was too long. Have you seen other books on this app? I have a set plan and plot for this novel and will not rush it. I will make sure to exhaust the plot for the book before I have it marked as completed. So instead of complaining, if you don't want to read it because of its length, you simply leave. That'd be perfectly fine. Because it's your time and money involved so the choice is yours. But leaving me low-star reviews instead of suggesting things you would like to see improvements in the book would just make me post less. Co
Clary sat there for a few seconds, not even saying a word. She was so disgusted by the detective that anger filled her up, but she decided not to act on her emotions. She knew that acting on them would only make things worse. “Ma’am, with all due respect, go to hell,” Clary said the words in a monotone. “The fact that you even have the guts to suggest that tells me exactly that you’re in cahoots with Selena. And it sickens me that you would be willing to lay down your integrity for yourself and job for her.” The detective felt a pang of hurt when she heard what Clary had said. She knew that the omega was right, that she was bribed by Selena. But it was not only about the money, the detective was also promised a big promotion if she got Clary’s baby aborted. She cleared her throat, collected the photograph from Clary, and placed it back into her folder. She then stood to her feet, locked eyes with the omega, and said, “This is your last and only chance.” “I’d rather rot in p
*This should be a free chapter. Do not unlock the previous one, please!* Hey there, First of all, I want to say thank you to all who read this book. I am so very grateful for the time, gems, comments, reviews, and as well financial support. I enjoyed writing this book. Yeah, I had to juggle my social life, school, and taking care of myself and my nephews in a foreign country but nevertheless, it was a beautiful and emotional ride. Some may not be satisfied with how the storyline flowed, but most of you loved the book, and that makes me happy! There might be a possibility for book two. But that’s a “Might”. But for now, it’s a farewell from Alpha Ace and Luna Clary! Please, please, please write reviews and vote gems for the book if you’d like, it helps the book get more exposure and I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Big love to you all! But Jesus loves you more! :)

It was a year later and Clary was getting ready for the Moon Festival. It was at night and she was in the makeup room and had so many people attending to her. She was almost ready and her makeup was even done. She was only in that room because she was getting touched up once again per the head makeup artist’s suggestion. The lady’s name was Selena and although the name reminded Clary of the former Luna, it was a totally different person. Music played in the room and a huge vanity mirror reflected Clary’s face back to her. She looked amazing and could not imagine that she had come this far. She had gone from being an omega to being the Luna of the pack. It was a dream come through for her, no, in fact, it was beyond her dreams. Because all she had wished for since she was little was just to be happy; to find a mate, live a normal life and be happy. The door of the room opened and Ace walked in. When he glanced at Clary, his heart skipped a beat. He could not believe that he was no
The sound of the medical machine beeping echoed like it had been placed underwater. Clary’s eyes fluttered open and her vision was at first blurry before she blinked and it got cleared up.The air smelled perfumed and the sound of the medical machine beeping was now more evident. The omega’s throat was parched and she tried to swallow but it was very uncomfortable. That made her cough a bit. That was when she noticed that she was not alone in what she guessed to be a hospital room, even though it looked a bit fancy. Who she saw caused her heart to drop. “Dad?” She tried to speak but her voice came out a hoarse cry. It was the preacher, the guy was sitting not far from her in a chair by the bed. The preacher almost choked on the juice that he was drinking. It was what one of the nurses had given him because he had been in the room for almost the whole day without eating; only leaving for the bathroom and water breaks. He coughed for a few seconds before clearing his throat. He sta
Upon impact with Selena, Clary’s wolf was sent flying in the other direction. Her back hit the living room table, smashing it into many pieces. There were a few shards that poked into her back. And it hurt like crazy. “Stand up and fight, omega! Or should I say, Luna?” Selena mocked Clary as she approached her. Clary quickly rose to her feet but was pinned back to the floor of sharp shards just as quickly by the former Luna. She tried to get free from the demon’s strong hold over her but it was way too hard. “You’re hurting me,” Clary pushed the words out as she fought against the strength of Selena. “That’s the point,” The former Luna laughed out the words. She held Clary’s wolf down with just one hand and was now using the other one to try to stab it in the chest of the omega, aiming for her heart. Clary was so scared, not just for her but for her baby. “Surrender,” She heard her wolf say to her, and confusion filled her. Surrender? That would mean absolute death! That did not
It must have been three in the morning. The rain had finally stopped, not even a single drop falling anymore. The cabin had the smell of death lingering and the atmosphere was tense. Star was devastated. He felt depressed that his wolf and demon had been taken away from him by the Moon goddess. Yeah, he may have deserved it, but he would have preferred death over being made a human. You see, this was common in the pack, and maybe in other packs too. Every werewolf feared their wolf being taken away from them. They saw it as the highest form of punishment. If most of them had to choose between death and having their wolves taken away from them, death was going to be the popular option. Having one’s wolf taken away meant shame, demotion, and disgrace, and was just almost every werewolf’s worse nightmare. The hybrid stood not too far from Clary and barely paid attention to what was going on. He was still in disbelief that this had happened. Selena shifted back into her human
Clary was still on the floor, unable to get up. The powerful presence of the goddess was now made evident and it filled the room. But she could hear everything that the goddess was saying, including what she had just said about Selena's baby being alive. Clary chuckled in disbelief. “That’s impossible. Her baby died. And okay, let’s just say the baby’s alive, that still would not make my child the first heir,” She managed to say. The heaviness of the Moon goddess’s presence was now dwindling down but the omega knew that it was something that the goddess was doing on purpose. The goddess stopped pacing and looked at Clary on the floor. Her smile dropped a bit. “I told you to stand up, Luna Clary.” Clary made a small sound with her throat. “I know, but it’s not that easy when I can feel the literal essence of your being filling the room,” She confessed. The goddess's smile lifted up and then she let out a small breath, causing the heaviness to flee from the room in seconds. “Okay,
Levi’s wolf fell to the floor with a thud and he instantly shifted back into his human form. The light of life had fled from his eyes and death had stolen him away. But from the second that Selena had stabbed her hand into his back, he knew that he was going to die and at that very moment, he still did not regret a thing. Even if he had been given a second chance, he was for sure going to do it all again. He may have died, but his love for Clary was going to live on and on. “No,” Clary said the word out in disbelief as tears filled her eyes, blinding her vision for a few seconds before she blinked and it cleared when the tears had fallen on her face. “No, no, no,” Her voice broke. She shifted back into her human form and rushed to Levi’s side, watching the blood gushing out of his chest. “Yuck,” Selena said as she chuckled, staring at the heart in her hand. She then dropped it to the floor and licked the blood that was on her hand. “Please…please, let this be a dream,” Clary beg
Levi was furious, he wanted to just jump out of where he was hiding and attack the hybrid but he knew that it was not such a wise thing to do. So he did some breathing exercises. When he realized the breathing exercises were not really helping, he started punching the steering wheel really hard until pain shot through his fists; that was when he finally stopped. He then carefully got out of the car and hid in the bushes, making sure that he was out of sight so Star could not see him.“What the hell? You did not have to do that!” Clary exclaimed mentally, referring to what the hybrid had done to the driver. “He was the one that literally helped us to get here.” “Yeah, but he was also being overdramatic, he could have blown our cover and gotten us made by my sister.” Clary knew that the hybrid was right but she still felt bad for what he had done to the driver. “Anyone would have been overdramatic if they had seen a half-demon that has destroyed many packs.” “Okay, okay. I’m sorry.
