Clary was very excited about the Moon Festival now that she was finally of age. She could finally attend and that made her so incredibly happy. Eighteen years of age should have made her feel different but there was barely any change. She had always dreamed of finding her one true mate; someone that would save her from her life of misery and bullying. You see, Clary’s life was a living hell. She had been struggling with acne from the moment she hit her teens. She had tried everything but it only got worse and worse over the years. This made her very self-conscious and insecure, which in turn got her bullied by a bunch of awful, entitled girls at school. But that was not the only thing she was bullied for. She was also bullied and looked down on because she was an omega; a low-rank werewolf that was destined for a life of service to the higher-rank werewolves. That made her sick to her stomach. But that was the life that she was given. And on top of that, she was reminded every day
Clary struggled to breathe as tears built up in her eyes. Her lungs were begging for air and her heart was working harder than normal to keep up with what was going on. She tried to speak but it was close to impossible. Was this how she was going to die? On the night that she was supposed to finally find her mate? Her dad’s hand wrapped even tighter around her throat and she tried to pry it off but he was too strong for her. She was being choked to death, she was beginning to get dizzy. Hot tears flowed down her cheeks as she continued to try to break free. Adrenaline rushed through her veins and as if on instinct, she decided to defend herself. With a grunt and all she had, she kicked him hard in the crotch, causing him to release her neck immediately. She gasped loudly, taking in all the air that she needed as she coughed. Her neck was burning and more tears flowed from her eyes freely. Her dad fell to the wooden floor as he groaned in pain and released swear words loudly. He w
The Alpha continued to greet his guests but he kept locking eyes with Clary after each encounter. She could not move, she felt like her insides were on fire. It was a strange yet pleasant feeling. “Was this how the mate bond felt?” She thought to herself as she played with her fingers. The closer the Alpha got, the stronger the bond could be felt. The connection was stronger than anything she could ever think of. It felt amazing! But the thing that made her face fall was the fact that she had a strong feeling that it was not going to end well. She knew that if the Alpha was truly her mate, he would for sure reject her. There was no way that he was going to leave his Luna for an acne-faced omega; a nobody. She pushed her thoughts to the back of her head and started to move in the direction of the Alpha. When they finally were standing right in front of each other, Clary flashed him a nervous smile. In return, the Alpha also flashed her a smile, a very dashing one that made her heart
Clary’s heart doubled its pace and her mouth was dry. Her insides burned with passion and as much as she tried to pull away from the alpha, it seemed close to impossible. Her body yearned to be touched by him. “You…you need to stop,” She managed to say. She avoided looking into his eyes. She felt like if she did that, she would lose all self-control and give in to whatever was happening.“Do you want me to stop?” He chuckled seductively. He tried to push the feelings aside but he could not ignore that her heart was beating for the omega. He wanted her, not just sexually, but in every way possible. He wanted to spend the last of his days with her by his side. Clary swallowed and breathed out a shaky sigh as she took one step away from the powerful werewolf. His power alone was a huge turn-on for her. “Need I remind you that you’re married? And you’re the alpha, you can not be doing this.” He scoffed and then started to pace the room slowly. Then he suddenly came to a stop. “You know
There was a tension in the air that was thick enough to be sliced through with a kitchen knife. Clary was very uncomfortable and embarrassed. She just really wanted to leave so she could get back to the festival, but no, she was stuck in the ballroom. Clary had already had a life of pain and drama, all she wanted was something different. She wanted a happily ever after. She felt like she at least deserved that; like she at least deserved a break from her hard life of misery and darkness. But there she was, in a situation where her mate had to be a married man! And not just any married man, but the Alpha of the pack! Fate was playing a very sick game that was not fair at all. And now that the Luna knew, it was all way too complicated. All Clary wanted to do was what she did the best: run. She was itching to just run away from all this. “Should I take your silence as a yes?” Selena asked Ace in a hard tone. She did not even want to take a look at Clary, she felt insulted that her hu
Clary walked all the way home. She did not realize how far Royal Street was away from her place until now. The crazy thing was that she did not feel the distance when she was running for her life.At that time, adrenaline was coursing through her veins so she did not really care about distance when she was running from her dad. When she arrived at the house, her heart was beating hard and her throat was dry. She took a few seconds to prepare herself for whatever she was about to face before reaching for the door. She turned the knob and the door made a small click. She did a little push and walked into the house. It did not surprise her that the door was not locked. She was the one that did all these things while the preacher only got drunk. She searched around with her eyes and soon she saw her dad slumped on the couch in the living room. He was snoring very loudly and an empty bottle of liquor was lying on the floor, next to the couch. She released a breath that she did not know
Clary admired the beautiful room when Selena had left. It was the first time for her to be in a room this nice, and to be able to call it her own. She felt so happy and could not help but chuckle lightly in joy as she continued to look around. But she also could not put to the back of her mind what Selena had said to her. It made her feel like she had to walk on her toes all the time. Being warned by the Luna was enough to remind her that even though she was now in the palace, she was still dirt. The Alpha and his wife were being vague as to why they had brought Clary to the mansion to live there, but she had a small knowledge that it was because of the mate bond between her and Ace. The mate bond was a special rare bond that was similar to the concept of soul mates, but it was way stronger and magical. At some point, mates could even feel and read each other’s minds and emotions. This special bond could cause the male werewolf to know whether his mate was safe or in danger. It w

It was a year later and Clary was getting ready for the Moon Festival. It was at night and she was in the makeup room and had so many people attending to her. She was almost ready and her makeup was even done. She was only in that room because she was getting touched up once again per the head makeup artist’s suggestion. The lady’s name was Selena and although the name reminded Clary of the former Luna, it was a totally different person. Music played in the room and a huge vanity mirror reflected Clary’s face back to her. She looked amazing and could not imagine that she had come this far. She had gone from being an omega to being the Luna of the pack. It was a dream come through for her, no, in fact, it was beyond her dreams. Because all she had wished for since she was little was just to be happy; to find a mate, live a normal life and be happy. The door of the room opened and Ace walked in. When he glanced at Clary, his heart skipped a beat. He could not believe that he was no
The sound of the medical machine beeping echoed like it had been placed underwater. Clary’s eyes fluttered open and her vision was at first blurry before she blinked and it got cleared up.The air smelled perfumed and the sound of the medical machine beeping was now more evident. The omega’s throat was parched and she tried to swallow but it was very uncomfortable. That made her cough a bit. That was when she noticed that she was not alone in what she guessed to be a hospital room, even though it looked a bit fancy. Who she saw caused her heart to drop. “Dad?” She tried to speak but her voice came out a hoarse cry. It was the preacher, the guy was sitting not far from her in a chair by the bed. The preacher almost choked on the juice that he was drinking. It was what one of the nurses had given him because he had been in the room for almost the whole day without eating; only leaving for the bathroom and water breaks. He coughed for a few seconds before clearing his throat. He sta
Upon impact with Selena, Clary’s wolf was sent flying in the other direction. Her back hit the living room table, smashing it into many pieces. There were a few shards that poked into her back. And it hurt like crazy. “Stand up and fight, omega! Or should I say, Luna?” Selena mocked Clary as she approached her. Clary quickly rose to her feet but was pinned back to the floor of sharp shards just as quickly by the former Luna. She tried to get free from the demon’s strong hold over her but it was way too hard. “You’re hurting me,” Clary pushed the words out as she fought against the strength of Selena. “That’s the point,” The former Luna laughed out the words. She held Clary’s wolf down with just one hand and was now using the other one to try to stab it in the chest of the omega, aiming for her heart. Clary was so scared, not just for her but for her baby. “Surrender,” She heard her wolf say to her, and confusion filled her. Surrender? That would mean absolute death! That did not
It must have been three in the morning. The rain had finally stopped, not even a single drop falling anymore. The cabin had the smell of death lingering and the atmosphere was tense. Star was devastated. He felt depressed that his wolf and demon had been taken away from him by the Moon goddess. Yeah, he may have deserved it, but he would have preferred death over being made a human. You see, this was common in the pack, and maybe in other packs too. Every werewolf feared their wolf being taken away from them. They saw it as the highest form of punishment. If most of them had to choose between death and having their wolves taken away from them, death was going to be the popular option. Having one’s wolf taken away meant shame, demotion, and disgrace, and was just almost every werewolf’s worse nightmare. The hybrid stood not too far from Clary and barely paid attention to what was going on. He was still in disbelief that this had happened. Selena shifted back into her human
Clary was still on the floor, unable to get up. The powerful presence of the goddess was now made evident and it filled the room. But she could hear everything that the goddess was saying, including what she had just said about Selena's baby being alive. Clary chuckled in disbelief. “That’s impossible. Her baby died. And okay, let’s just say the baby’s alive, that still would not make my child the first heir,” She managed to say. The heaviness of the Moon goddess’s presence was now dwindling down but the omega knew that it was something that the goddess was doing on purpose. The goddess stopped pacing and looked at Clary on the floor. Her smile dropped a bit. “I told you to stand up, Luna Clary.” Clary made a small sound with her throat. “I know, but it’s not that easy when I can feel the literal essence of your being filling the room,” She confessed. The goddess's smile lifted up and then she let out a small breath, causing the heaviness to flee from the room in seconds. “Okay,
Levi’s wolf fell to the floor with a thud and he instantly shifted back into his human form. The light of life had fled from his eyes and death had stolen him away. But from the second that Selena had stabbed her hand into his back, he knew that he was going to die and at that very moment, he still did not regret a thing. Even if he had been given a second chance, he was for sure going to do it all again. He may have died, but his love for Clary was going to live on and on. “No,” Clary said the word out in disbelief as tears filled her eyes, blinding her vision for a few seconds before she blinked and it cleared when the tears had fallen on her face. “No, no, no,” Her voice broke. She shifted back into her human form and rushed to Levi’s side, watching the blood gushing out of his chest. “Yuck,” Selena said as she chuckled, staring at the heart in her hand. She then dropped it to the floor and licked the blood that was on her hand. “Please…please, let this be a dream,” Clary beg
Levi was furious, he wanted to just jump out of where he was hiding and attack the hybrid but he knew that it was not such a wise thing to do. So he did some breathing exercises. When he realized the breathing exercises were not really helping, he started punching the steering wheel really hard until pain shot through his fists; that was when he finally stopped. He then carefully got out of the car and hid in the bushes, making sure that he was out of sight so Star could not see him.“What the hell? You did not have to do that!” Clary exclaimed mentally, referring to what the hybrid had done to the driver. “He was the one that literally helped us to get here.” “Yeah, but he was also being overdramatic, he could have blown our cover and gotten us made by my sister.” Clary knew that the hybrid was right but she still felt bad for what he had done to the driver. “Anyone would have been overdramatic if they had seen a half-demon that has destroyed many packs.” “Okay, okay. I’m sorry.
