Ace did not like what Clary had just said but he knew that she was being honest. And even if it was in his case, he would have wanted the same. “What would it take for you to stay; to stay here at the mansion?” Clary made a small throaty sound and then proceeded to stand to her feet. “You really want to know? The truth is that I don’t know. I really don’t know. But what I do know is that I need time by myself. I need to be able to think.” “But you can do that here, you can. I swear you won’t even know that I’m there. I would ignore you if that is what you want.” Clary unlocked the door and opened it. “That is not the point. All I’m asking you for right now is for you to leave me alone. Can you do that, Ace?” Ace had stood up to his feet. He nodded even though he wanted the exact opposite. “Okay, sure. If that is what you want.” He shrugged. Clary flashed him a small smile and then walked out of the room and past him. She headed down the hall and did not even look back. She walked
“What the hell?” Clary said to herself as she saw the small crowd of people right out of the house. She had no idea why they were but they did not look happy. Her heart started racing and she went out of the room and down the stairs. She headed for the living room and turned on the TV. The first thing that came on was a national address. A nation address was when the Alpha or Luna of the pack would address the pack, either to provide vital information or sometimes just to remind everyone that they had a strong leader watching and protecting them. This time, on the TV, it was not Ace. It was Selena. Her eyes looked bloodshot and she did not look okay at all. What stood out to Clary again was the fact that it seemed like what was being played on the TV was playing for the second or third time, it was not in real-time. “Good morning,” Selena began, and Clary sat on one of the couches and tried her best to pay attention. “I am honored to be addressing the pack and I apologize for loo
Levi chuckled in disbelief. “You seriously hate her that much? You hate her to the point that would let her be killed by an angry mob that you stirred?” He asked Selena. “I don’t hate her,” Selena paced the room slowly. “If there is a stronger word for hate, that would be the word you’re looking for. I loathe her. And…I did not stir a mob.” Ace was not feeling okay. He did not like that Selena was willing to let Clary die. He knew that her feelings were justified in a way, but that still did not mean that that was okay. “Are we seriously going to get into that right now?” Mr. Clark finally spoke since he saw Clary. “You all are acting like a bunch of kids. First of all, Selena, you had no right to go on national TV and say all that.” Selena scoffed. “Um, I kinda did. I have every right to say whatever the hell I want to say to the pack. I have the right to inform them of something important that has been going on in the pack.” “You do know what you did, right? You informed th
Everyone in the room was stunned and gasps were heard aloud. Clary was gaping and did not believe that Mr. Clark had just literally hit Ace in the face, and that hard. “What the hell?” Ace too was stunned. He did not expect that from Mr. Clark. The man had never hit anyone in his life, let alone him. The Alpha stood to his feet and touched where he was hit. He could feel a pitching pain on his bottom lip, slightly to the right side, and soon, he was able to taste the metallic taste of blood. “Why are you like this?!” Mr. Clark bellowed, his voice echoing in the large room. He was talking to Ace. “You’re just like him! You’re just like your damn father!” He spat the words at Ace. Ace had been holding back, he really had been trying not to let his anger get a hold of him and he was surprised that he had been successful for this long. But he was getting fed up. He was really getting fed up. “Do not compare me to that man,” Ace warned Mr. Clark. “Or what?” Mr. Clark walked clos
Clary knew the law, she was taught it in school. Everyone was taught the laws and rules of the pack in school, so Clary knew that Selena and Mr. Clark were right; they were telling the truth. “Let him go,” Mr. Clark said to the guards and they did what they were told. When the guards let Ace go, he huffed and then straightened his clothes. He was still pissed but knew he had allowed his anger to get the best of him. He knew the law but in the heat of the moment, he did not give a damn. He just wanted to feel something at that very moment. He also knew that Mr. Clark would not let him face the death punishment, they must have been bluffing. “I’m the Alpha of the pack,” Ace reminded everyone. “I can not be put to death. That’s…” He scoffed. “That would only make matters worse for the pack and everyone else!” A pinch of fear lingered in his heart. “Alpha or not, you just committed a serious crime,” One of the councilmen said. “And yeah, you’re right, you’re the Alpha, we won’t put y
The wind blew in the car as Clary and Levi were driven out of the pack. The road had no traffic at all and the ride was smooth. It was a sunny day and the air was warm. The sky was very blue and the clouds made beautiful shapes. The sun was glorious as noon approached. Levi was quiet, he did not want to be but he could not help it. He knew that Ace and Clary took longer than they should have to talk. He had a very strong feeling that talking was not all they were doing. Clary noticed that Levi was being quiet and she felt guilty because of that. She had a feeling that Levi knew what had happened in the room with her and Ace when it was impossible for that to be the case. “Are you okay?” Clary finally spoke up, capturing Levi’s attention. Levi locked eyes with her and forced a smile before replying, “Uh, yeah, why wouldn’t I be?” “I don’t know, because you’re being more quiet than usual.” Levi could not help but smile warmly when he heard her reply. “So you have been watching me
Clary chuckled without humor and swallowed. She felt like screaming at the top of her lungs, she felt like hitting her fists hard against the wall. She felt like breaking any and everything but she was way too weak to do any of that. She could never be brave enough. “I won’t,” She replied to Lola. Lola nodded slowly. “Okay, um, I would be downstairs,” She said awkwardly and then walked away, closing the door in the process. Clary’s heart was heavy, she could still feel the burning pain on her face due to the slap that Lola had given her. She swallowed again and wiped away the tears from her cheeks. She locked the door and headed for the walk-in closet. She found something casual to wear; jeans, a crop top, a denim jacket to pair with it, and Converse to wear on her feet. That was her favorite kind of shoes. When she was dressed, she allowed her hair to flow to her showers and brushed it out. She could not ignore the red bruising appearing on her cheek as she watched her reflecti
Clary took a few seconds to take in the information that Selena had given her. She was confused as to why the Luna wanted to meet her, and alone. It reminded her of a few days ago when she was taken on the road with Gus and Selena, with the guise that they were going to the clinic when in fact it was for another purpose. She remembered how she had gotten so drenched by the rain to the point that she thought that she was going to get sick, or at least get a cold. But she did not. She was completely fine. “Why though?” Clary asked bravely. She was pregnant and knew that Selena was not happy about that. What if the Luna tried to do something to hurt her, but mainly, the child? “Why shouldn’t I tell Levi.” It was very suspicious to Clary and she did not want to take chances with Selena. “Are you seriously asking me those questions?” Selena asked, on the verge of snapping. “You dumb b*tch. Did you get your head hit or something? Have you forgotten who I am? Well, let me remind you, s
*This should be a free chapter. Do not unlock the previous one, please!* Hey there, First of all, I want to say thank you to all who read this book. I am so very grateful for the time, gems, comments, reviews, and as well financial support. I enjoyed writing this book. Yeah, I had to juggle my social life, school, and taking care of myself and my nephews in a foreign country but nevertheless, it was a beautiful and emotional ride. Some may not be satisfied with how the storyline flowed, but most of you loved the book, and that makes me happy! There might be a possibility for book two. But that’s a “Might”. But for now, it’s a farewell from Alpha Ace and Luna Clary! Please, please, please write reviews and vote gems for the book if you’d like, it helps the book get more exposure and I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Big love to you all! But Jesus loves you more! :)

It was a year later and Clary was getting ready for the Moon Festival. It was at night and she was in the makeup room and had so many people attending to her. She was almost ready and her makeup was even done. She was only in that room because she was getting touched up once again per the head makeup artist’s suggestion. The lady’s name was Selena and although the name reminded Clary of the former Luna, it was a totally different person. Music played in the room and a huge vanity mirror reflected Clary’s face back to her. She looked amazing and could not imagine that she had come this far. She had gone from being an omega to being the Luna of the pack. It was a dream come through for her, no, in fact, it was beyond her dreams. Because all she had wished for since she was little was just to be happy; to find a mate, live a normal life and be happy. The door of the room opened and Ace walked in. When he glanced at Clary, his heart skipped a beat. He could not believe that he was no
The sound of the medical machine beeping echoed like it had been placed underwater. Clary’s eyes fluttered open and her vision was at first blurry before she blinked and it got cleared up.The air smelled perfumed and the sound of the medical machine beeping was now more evident. The omega’s throat was parched and she tried to swallow but it was very uncomfortable. That made her cough a bit. That was when she noticed that she was not alone in what she guessed to be a hospital room, even though it looked a bit fancy. Who she saw caused her heart to drop. “Dad?” She tried to speak but her voice came out a hoarse cry. It was the preacher, the guy was sitting not far from her in a chair by the bed. The preacher almost choked on the juice that he was drinking. It was what one of the nurses had given him because he had been in the room for almost the whole day without eating; only leaving for the bathroom and water breaks. He coughed for a few seconds before clearing his throat. He sta
Upon impact with Selena, Clary’s wolf was sent flying in the other direction. Her back hit the living room table, smashing it into many pieces. There were a few shards that poked into her back. And it hurt like crazy. “Stand up and fight, omega! Or should I say, Luna?” Selena mocked Clary as she approached her. Clary quickly rose to her feet but was pinned back to the floor of sharp shards just as quickly by the former Luna. She tried to get free from the demon’s strong hold over her but it was way too hard. “You’re hurting me,” Clary pushed the words out as she fought against the strength of Selena. “That’s the point,” The former Luna laughed out the words. She held Clary’s wolf down with just one hand and was now using the other one to try to stab it in the chest of the omega, aiming for her heart. Clary was so scared, not just for her but for her baby. “Surrender,” She heard her wolf say to her, and confusion filled her. Surrender? That would mean absolute death! That did not
It must have been three in the morning. The rain had finally stopped, not even a single drop falling anymore. The cabin had the smell of death lingering and the atmosphere was tense. Star was devastated. He felt depressed that his wolf and demon had been taken away from him by the Moon goddess. Yeah, he may have deserved it, but he would have preferred death over being made a human. You see, this was common in the pack, and maybe in other packs too. Every werewolf feared their wolf being taken away from them. They saw it as the highest form of punishment. If most of them had to choose between death and having their wolves taken away from them, death was going to be the popular option. Having one’s wolf taken away meant shame, demotion, and disgrace, and was just almost every werewolf’s worse nightmare. The hybrid stood not too far from Clary and barely paid attention to what was going on. He was still in disbelief that this had happened. Selena shifted back into her human
Clary was still on the floor, unable to get up. The powerful presence of the goddess was now made evident and it filled the room. But she could hear everything that the goddess was saying, including what she had just said about Selena's baby being alive. Clary chuckled in disbelief. “That’s impossible. Her baby died. And okay, let’s just say the baby’s alive, that still would not make my child the first heir,” She managed to say. The heaviness of the Moon goddess’s presence was now dwindling down but the omega knew that it was something that the goddess was doing on purpose. The goddess stopped pacing and looked at Clary on the floor. Her smile dropped a bit. “I told you to stand up, Luna Clary.” Clary made a small sound with her throat. “I know, but it’s not that easy when I can feel the literal essence of your being filling the room,” She confessed. The goddess's smile lifted up and then she let out a small breath, causing the heaviness to flee from the room in seconds. “Okay,
Levi’s wolf fell to the floor with a thud and he instantly shifted back into his human form. The light of life had fled from his eyes and death had stolen him away. But from the second that Selena had stabbed her hand into his back, he knew that he was going to die and at that very moment, he still did not regret a thing. Even if he had been given a second chance, he was for sure going to do it all again. He may have died, but his love for Clary was going to live on and on. “No,” Clary said the word out in disbelief as tears filled her eyes, blinding her vision for a few seconds before she blinked and it cleared when the tears had fallen on her face. “No, no, no,” Her voice broke. She shifted back into her human form and rushed to Levi’s side, watching the blood gushing out of his chest. “Yuck,” Selena said as she chuckled, staring at the heart in her hand. She then dropped it to the floor and licked the blood that was on her hand. “Please…please, let this be a dream,” Clary beg
Levi was furious, he wanted to just jump out of where he was hiding and attack the hybrid but he knew that it was not such a wise thing to do. So he did some breathing exercises. When he realized the breathing exercises were not really helping, he started punching the steering wheel really hard until pain shot through his fists; that was when he finally stopped. He then carefully got out of the car and hid in the bushes, making sure that he was out of sight so Star could not see him.“What the hell? You did not have to do that!” Clary exclaimed mentally, referring to what the hybrid had done to the driver. “He was the one that literally helped us to get here.” “Yeah, but he was also being overdramatic, he could have blown our cover and gotten us made by my sister.” Clary knew that the hybrid was right but she still felt bad for what he had done to the driver. “Anyone would have been overdramatic if they had seen a half-demon that has destroyed many packs.” “Okay, okay. I’m sorry.
