Jason’s pov

I didn’t know which direction to head to that would have led me to Josh, so I can warn him about his father still being alive. I checked around, and decided to trust that Josh would figure it out eventually.

The more I looked at Damon's still body, the more I came to terms with the fact that it is all over. I can settle down and just be with my mate now. Have kids, grow old, and do everything we want.

A few seconds later Josh and the rest gathered outside. I could see the old man with Josh, which means he figured it out. Damon be damned. I was still too exhausted from fighting him, but I can’t wait to leave this place. The walls scream about a lot of pain and sorrows.

“Is everyone here?” I asked, looking around.

“I think so.” Luke looked around before answering. I double checked to confirm that they were all there before I gave the go ahead to leave.

“Alright we are leaving, now,” I said. We started heading towards the gate again when a group of people ran out from wh
