Chapter 79

Josh’s pov

Carlton and I cleared as many people from our path as we headed deeper into the castle. Jason gave us instructions to save whoever was locked up. So we headed down to the dungeons to do just that.

The minute we got closer, we heard a voice. Someone was demanding answers from the prisoners, but what stopped me in my tracks was the voice that eventually answered. A voice I’ve listened to so many times over the years that I'd recognise it even if it wasn’t clear. The voice of my father that I thought was dead.

“Perhaps you have finally angered the moon goddess into taking actions against you.” My father rasped with difficulty.

“I hope she comes by herself then.” the other voice answered. “ Damon has lots of scores to settle with her.” Damon, the reason we came here. Who also turned out to be the reason my father is chained up in a dungeon.

“And I have a lot to settle with you.” I said angrily, making my presence known. The man looked up in surprise that we would show our faces
