Chapter 1

"What are you doing here, Anne? Didn't you say you were out shopping with a friend?"

When the door to Room 702 at Iris Hotel opened, Elliott Langley was struck dumb.

Elliott, a college student, was working part-time as a deliveryman to buy a birthday gift for his girlfriend, Anne Cohen. But right now, Anne, the woman of his dreams, was standing before him in a sexy outfit. She had just opened the hotel room door to receive the order he was delivering—a box of Viagra.

"Elliott? Why are you here?"

Anne, who had just accepted the delivery, was also startled but soon regained her composure. "Oh, well. Since you ran into me, I won't hide it from you anymore. Let's break up. Ivan and I are together now."

"Ivan? Ivan Grady?"

"That's right."

"Haven't you only known him for a couple of days?" Elliott questioned.

"So what if it's only been a couple of days? It's love at first sight!"

"What… the fuck? Have you no shame?" Elliott fumed.

He spent three years wooing Anne before she finally agreed to go out with him. He hadn't even struck up the nerve to put his arm around her waist yet, but that bastard Ivan had brought her to a hotel after just two days!

While they hadn't done the deed quite just yet, they were clearly about to, and that made Elliott curse inwardly.

"Get lost! We've broken up now, so you have no right to interfere with my life!" Anne snapped angrily.

"Why are you doing this? Is it just because he's rich? Can't you tell how much I love you?" Elliott shot back.

"Love? A penniless guy has no right to talk about love! You're nothing but a poor loser, Elliott. You're not even fit to shine Ivan's shoes. Get out of my sight. I don't want to see you!"

Ivan, who had just taken a shower, heard the commotion and came to the door.

Upon seeing Elliott, he laughed and remarked, "Oh! It's Elliott Langley, the guy everyone on campus calls the King of the Simps! We were just about to get down to business. Who would've thought you'd bring us what we needed yourself? How thoughtful of you!"

"Thoughtful, my ass! You're a fucking bastard, Ivan!" Elliott bellowed.

Even the biggest pushover in the world had a limit to his patience, and Elliott was fired up, alright. He kicked the hotel room door aside and slapped Anne in the face before punching Ivan in the gut.

"Elliott! I knew I was wrong about you. How dare you hit me? How dare you hit a woman?" Anne screamed.

She couldn't believe that Elliott, the guy who adored her in every way, had just slapped her.

"You're a shameless bitch!" Elliott cursed.

"How dare you hit me, Elliott? You asked for it!" Ivan hollered before lunging at Elliott.

Elliott wasn't as stocky as Ivan was, so he was at a disadvantage when it came to an actual fight. Naturally, he knew better than to fight a losing battle.

While trading blows with Ivan, he yelled, "Hey! Anyone there? Quick! There are a couple of adulterers out here! Come look! Record a video of them!"

Immediately, the doors to several hotel rooms flew open. Evidently, everyone had a nosy side to them.

Frightened and embarrassed, Ivan and Anne quickly shoved Elliott out of the room before slamming the door shut.

Meanwhile, Elliott managed to vent some of his anger by beating them up, but his mood hadn't taken a turn for the better. He couldn't understand why this was happening. Why did Anne want to break up with him?

He'd treated her like a goddess and catered to her every whim, so why wasn't she satisfied with him? Was it simply because he had no money?

That was it, wasn't it?

Elliott had attempted to get intimate with Anne before, but she claimed she wanted to save that special moment for her wedding night.

He'd been pursuing her for over three years now, and they finally started dating a month ago. However, the only time he got a bit more intimate with her was when he had sneakily held her hand one night. He hadn't even had his first kiss yet.

All along, he assumed Anne had more conservative beliefs about such things, but in reality? She was willing to get into bed with the son of a rich man whom she'd only known for a few days.

It had all been a lie, and Elliott no longer believed in love!

He had first met Anne at an orientation camp during their first semester at college. He fell in love with the beautiful and poised young woman he saw. In his pursuit of her, he became a total pushover, willingly giving her his all.

Over the last three years of college and then some, he had silently and patiently spent all of his time and effort on her. He would buy her breakfast, save her a seat in class, and run errands for her. He cherished her with every fiber of his being.

When Anne wanted a new laptop, Elliott immediately worked as a part-time deliveryman for three months to earn enough money to buy her one—only for her to complain that it lagged whenever she played video games.

Alas, over three years of sacrifice was nothing compared to the sweet nothings and a luxury bag from a wealthy heir.

Elliott was well and truly disappointed.

Were Anne and Ivan going to get it on with the Viagra he personally delivered to them? Hah! As if he would let them!

He immediately called the police, saying, "Hi, I'd like to make a police report. I suspect a case of prostitution happening in Room 702 at Iris Hotel, located diagonally across from Mountshire University."

"Alright. We will send someone over at once!"

After ending the call, Elliott chuckled over the anonymous "tip" he just gave the police.

Just then, a robotic voice rang out in Elliott's mind, "The Conquest System has detected a suitable Host. System binding activated. System binding successful."

"A system?"

Elliott spaced out as a holographic panel appeared in his mind.

"Name: Elliott Langley"

"Conquest Fund: 0"

"Personal Wealth: 32 dollars"

"Enhancement Points: 0"

A system, huh?

Elliott swiftly regained his focus. What was the Conquest Fund? And what was this about him having 32 dollars in personal wealth?

He checked his bank account, and true enough, he only had 32 dollars left. The rest of his money had been spent on buying things for Anne.

After checking one last time, Elliott finally confirmed he had indeed been bound to a system.

"What can you do, System?" Elliott asked silently.

"I can help you, the Host, to pursue selected love interests."

"You need to give me some money, then!" Elliott demanded. "How am I supposed to pursue someone if I don't have any money?"

"You can utilize the 100-million-dollar cashback top-up mechanic. For example, if you top up a dollar, you will receive 100 million dollars in return. If you top up 100 dollars, you will receive ten billion dollars in return."

"Did you say 100-million-dollar cashback top-up mechanic? I'm rich!" Elliott exclaimed in excitement.

"Kindly be aware that money received through the top-up mechanic will go into the Conquest Fund. It can be used to cover any of the expenses related to pursuing your conquest, but it cannot be used on personal expenses. You can only use your personal wealth for that."

After hearing the explanation, Elliott got the gist of it. Although the top-up mechanic gave him 100 million dollars for every dollar he put in, that money could only be used on women.

Well, that worked for him, so long as he could claim all of the money he used on the ladies from the system.

"System, I want to top up two dollars!"

"Top-up successful. Two dollars has been deducted from the Host's personal wealth. 200 million dollars has been added to the Conquest Fund. The Conquest Fund has been automatically credited to the Host's VVIP Obsidian Card."

At the very next moment, an Obsidian Card appeared in Elliott's hand.

"What the heck? Where did that come from?"

Elliott flipped the card over repeatedly as he tried to figure out which bank it belonged to. He couldn't recognize it at all. Would it actually work?

"Of course," the system replied in his head. "You can connect it to your PayPal or other e-payment channels. Here are the instructions…"

Doing as he was told, Elliott attempted to link the card to his regular payment methods, and it worked. He also found a new application on his phone. When he tapped into it, the interface featured a bank account that didn't require any login details or password.

"What bank is this, System? Why don't I need to log in first?"

"This is your dedicated banking application. It is automatically connected to all of the major banks in the world and can be used to exchange all types of currency as needed.

"The application is tied to your life, so you do not require a password or any biometric identification to log in. You have direct access to all of its features, such as performing transfers or receiving credit."

Elliott gasped. It was tied to his life? How advanced! Since it was from the system, it had to be extremely sophisticated.

Now that he had the system, he no longer felt upset about what happened. Who cared about Anne? She was just a tiny little stump in the forest of beautiful women. Even after giving up on her, he still had an entire forest's worth of women to pursue.

Elliott left the hotel in a great mood. Whistling, he made his way toward his parked e-bike.

Just then, the soft, melodious voice of a woman rang out, "Ouch! What's wrong with you? Don't you watch where you're going?"

Only then did Elliott realize he had been so engrossed in studying the banking application that he ended up bumping into someone. He even stepped on the beautiful young woman's foot.
