Regina
“Where is she?” My father’s voice boomed out angrily, making me startled. I wished I could be anywhere but here. “I don’t know, Father; she didn’t tell me where she was going,” I replied, my voice trembling with fear. I hated seeing my father looking so pissed and angry. My elder sister, Marcy, had suddenly left the pack without telling anyone where she was going. She was supposed to get married in a few days to Lionel Williams, the renowned cold and heartless Alpha of the Silver Moon pack, but she suddenly disappeared without a word. Our pack, the Moon Jade Pack, had been rivals with the Silver Moon Pack for over a decade. No one knew how two packs that were once close allies became bitter enemies, but that was how it had been until the Silver Moon Pack suddenly proposed a peace treaty. Why would they do that now, after so many years of rivalry? We weren’t threatening them, so why the sudden desire for peace? To make matters worse, they proposed a marriage alliance to seal the deal. Who would want to marry a heartless Alpha like Lionel? Certainly not me. I was shocked when my father agreed to the proposal, betrothing Marcy to Lionel without hesitation. “Did she tell you anything about where she was going?” my father asked suspiciously. “No, Father, she didn’t.” I was just as confused as he was. Marcy was even supposed to go for her dress fitting today, and it wasn’t like her to leave without telling anyone. My father’s phone screen suddenly lit up with a message notification. He glanced at it, and I watched as his face twisted from anger to rage. Before I could react, he hurled the phone at me. “You just told me you knew nothing about her whereabouts! How could you lie to me?” he roared angrily. I flinched, barely missing the phone by a few inches as it landed on the sofa. What was he talking about? And why was he so angry at me? Hesitantly, I went through the message on the screen. It read, “I am sorry, Father, but I can no longer continue with this arranged marriage. I found my true mate a few weeks ago, and as Regina would say, ‘True love can never be replaced.’ I have found my true love, and I want to be with him. I love you so much. Forgive me for disappointing you. Your daughter, Marcy.”* I immediately gasped. Marcy had found her mate and eloped with him! But why would she drag me into this? That quote—“True love can never be replaced”—was something I had said to her after reading a movie script. I never imagined she would take it so seriously! “Father, I swear I don’t know where she is. I just said that quote randomly. I never thought she would act on it,” I stammered, desperately trying to clear my name. “How could you girls do this to me? This alliance means everything to me. Nothing must go wrong!” My father’s anger made me feel there was something deeper for him about this alliance that he wasn't saying. I mean, why was this alliance so crucial to him? Our pack wasn’t as powerful as the Silver Moon Pack, but we weren’t weak either. What made this marriage so important? “I’m sorry, Father, but I think we should call the Silver Moon Pack and cancel this—” “No! This alliance must not be broken!” he snapped at me before I could finish. I had never seen him react this strongly before. I took a deep breath, trying to slowly reason with him. “But, Father, Marcy is gone, and you know how good she is at hiding when she wants to. We don’t have time to find her. Besides, would you really want to deny her the joy of being with her true mate?” He fell silent, and I felt I was slowly convincing him so I pressed on, “How would you feel if your parents had kept you from being with our late mother, your mate?” Immediately I said those words, I regretted it. His eyes darkened, and I saw his wolf, Leo, struggling for control. Oh my! I was doomed! Quickly, I bowed my head, avoiding his gaze, and bared my neck in submission. Leo was a very dominant Alpha wolf who wouldn't hesitate to discipline me despite being his pup. After a very tense moment, my father regained control and spoke in a low and dangerous voice. “Don’t ever do that again. Your mother is a sensitive topic for me and Leo. Don’t ever try to use her to make your point.” My wolf whimpered inside me, cowering under the weight of my father’s powerful aura. “I’m sorry, Father. I’ll never do that again,” I said quickly. My mother’s death had always been a sore spot for him. She had died giving birth to me, and he had mourned her for years, refusing to remarry and forbidding anyone from mentioning her name. I didn’t know why I thought I could use their bond to convince him that Marcy deserved to be with her mate. How stupid of me! “But I guess you’re right. Marcy does deserve to be with her true mate,” my father said, his tone softening. Finally, he was starting to see reason. He was beginning to understand my point. “So, when will you call the Silver Moon Pack and tell them the news?” I asked, relieved that this arranged marriage drama was finally over. But I spoke too soon. “I don’t think you understand me, Regina,” he said, his voice firm. “Since Marcy has found her true mate and can’t marry Lionel, you will have to marry him.” I immediately froze when I heard him declare, “You will be his substitute Luna.”ReginaI stood there, shocked, unable to believe what I had just heard. Maybe he was joking, right? But I could tell from his expression that he clearly wasn't!When I finally regained my composure I exclaimed, “What? Father! What do you mean by that? His substitute Luna? Me? I can’t! Certainly not, Father!”“I have made my decision, Regina. You will become his Luna. Start preparing yourself,” he declared firmly.A chill instantly ran down my spine, causing me to panic. “Father, please, no! I don’t want to! I don’t want to marry Alpha Lionel!”I felt my body weaken as the reality of what he was asking hit me. Before I knew it, hot tears began streaming down my face. “There’s nothing that can be done about this,” my father said, his voice as cold as stone. “You obviously haven’t found your mate, and Marcy has gone to be with hers. You are the only one who can make this alliance happen.”“What did I do to deserve this, Father?” I cried out. “Why are you treating me this way? I’m sorry
Lionel"Come on, man, let's go to the party. You know it will be fun," Ryker, my beta, urged as he tried to convince me into attending a party I had no interest in."I don't want to," I replied flatly."Come on, Lionel, you need to mingle with other ladies before you are officially taken," he insisted, wiggling his eyebrows at me. I glanced at him, resisting the urge to smack that smirk off his face.Yes, I was getting married to the daughter of the Alpha of the Moon Jade Pack, a pack I deeply hated. Our packs had been rivals for more than ten years after an incident, caused by them, that led to my parents' deaths, and the bitterness from that loss had never left me.But I was being forced to bend to the whims of my grandfather, the only family I had left. He'd proposed an alliance with that pack behind my back, and it didn't stop there—he even arranged a marriage. Ralphael Donovan, the Alpha of the Moon Jade Pack, had to be the most shameless man I had ever met. He agreed to marry h
LionelTaking a deep breath, I calmed myself and moved closer to the group. As I approached, the guys turned to face me, and I finally got a clear view of the girl they were harassing. She was breathtakingly beautiful, and I found myself staring in awe."Who are you, and what are you doing here? Leave right this instant and pretend you didn't see anything," the leader of the group snarled, tightening his grip on her waist. It was clear they didn’t recognize me. What a bunch of fools.I stared at his hand, gripping my mate's waist in a possessive manner as if she was his. I growled and without a second thought, I shifted into Lucius, who let out a furious howl, ready to tear them apart. That particular hand he used to hold her waist must go!"Shit! He's an Alpha! Come on, let's get out of here! He's really huge," one of them yelled as they all fled in terror. But their stupid leader hesitated, still holding onto my mate. “It’s good that he foolishly waited; I would make sure to tear t
ReginaGoing to the party was a mistake! It didn't help me feel any better. Gwen tried her best to lift my spirits, but I just wanted to leave and think about my life.I made an excuse and decided to take a walk. I must have wandered too far from the mansion where the party was held, and before I realized what was happening, Richie and his group of friends surrounded me."Richie, what are you doing here?" I asked."Oh, nothing," Richie replied with a smirk. "Just out for a stroll in the forest with my friends, maybe hunt some rabbits, right, guys?" His friends laughed at his weak joke, their laughter making me feel uneasy.I tried to head back to the mansion, but they blocked my way. "Excuse me, Richie, I want to go back.""Come on, Regina, play with us a little before you go. We all came here to have some fun with you, and you're just going to leave?" Richie said as he grabbed my waist painfully and roughly pulled me toward him. I screamed and begged him to let go, but he wouldn’t.W
Regina "I, Lionel Williams, Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, reject you, Regina Donovan, as my mate." As soon as Lionel said those words, I fell to the ground, screaming in agony. The pain of the broken mate bond was like nothing I’d ever felt- it was like being repeatedly struck by lightning. It came in waves, making it hard to even catch my breath. I felt like I was dying. Gwen wrapped her arms around me, trying to comfort me, but it wasn’t helping. I could hear her sobbing with me, desperately pleading, “Gina, you have to accept the rejection. It’s the only way to stop the pain. Please, Gina, it’s breaking my heart to see you like this.” Marcy and I had always dreamed about finding our mates since we were children, imagining how wonderful it would be. But now, the pain from Lionel’s rejection shattered those dreams, leaving me heartbroken and in endless pain. Why was Marcy blessed with a mate who loved her enough to run away with her, while I was cursed with one who would ra
Regina "Dad, you're not listening to me. Life would be ten times harder if I proceed with this marriage." Tears streamed down my eyes as I knelt, almost bowing while my father sipped on his glass of coffee like there was nothing else he cared about in this world."Dad!" I yelled trying to get his attention and he pivoted to stare at me for a few seconds before clearing his throat and accompanying it with a sigh."Regina, come off it. I've already told you that there's nothing you can do. The marriage is happening." That's exactly what he had repeated to me for like the hundredth time and it seemed sour hearing it from him.I was at loss as I stared at my father. Seriously, he was going to let me go into this marriage without considering what I might be going to face, the hardship and hatred and all."Dad, please listen to me. He rejected me as his mate, there's no way he would love me as Luna." My dad grunted as he dropped the cup of coffee he was sipping on angrily on the table."Ev
Regina "Okay, I understand you want to do this one thing for yourself and that's wonderful. And I absolutely support you, but Sun Entertainment? That's like one of the biggest entertainment companies. I mean, I don't doubt your talents, but I've always known that it's hard to get in there." Gwen said and I nodded, laying back on my bed as I heaved a sigh."At least, I have to try first. Let's focus on the positives." She stared at me for a few minutes before finally agreeing with me and solidifying it with a nod."Now, today has been a long day already. Let's go to sleep." She dived straight into my bed and stared up at the ceiling while I got in right beside her."Thanks to you for interrupting my sleep. I might not be able to go to sleep any longer." I said jokingly while she chuckled and leaned on one side with her palm on her temples."Think of something you love; you'll drift to Lala land before you even realize it. I would have loved to stay up with you and talk about nothing
ReginaThe further I went, the more my thoughts spun wilder as I contemplated whether this would eventually become a success or not. Indeed, I had been pulling myself together and building all the confidence I needed, but now I was within the confines of the building, things were about to get crazy. Several girls, all in line for the same audition I was here for, occupying different angles of the foyer where we now found ourselves, busy with makeup, chit-chatting and practicing weird lines in front of mirrors, feeling like they were already the star of the show. I was sick of it, but… here we go!“I need to use the bathroom, Gwen.”“Sure!” Gwen was still lost in admiring just how grandeur Sun Entertainment was. I couldn’t blame her – this was no joke!“Don’t stray far, Gwen. I’d love you to be there in the audition booth.” I pleaded.Gwen rolled her eyes. “Of course, I’ve got you baby. I’d be right there among the red seats, giving you all the thumbs up you’ll ever need.”“Oh, I lo
LIONEL What harm could be in a little moment of sex, just a little time to enjoy myself and forgetting the shit of a wife I married? That was what I was experiencing now. I was Lionel Williams. I had my way with whatever I wanted. Imagine having two girls go head over heels to have this moment with me, and yet, there was a wife I had who dared to leave me sight and go out fucking another man. Fuck you, Regina! The good thing is there was something to put all that anger on now. As I cursed at Regina, I squeezed Lydia’s boobs and spanked Jemma’s butts. Both women were already sliding out of their dresses, both stark naked as they moaned and panted, struggling for who could kiss me first. I was still in my clothes even though Lydia’s hand slipped underneath my shirt and rubbed my breasts till it hardened. Jemma was faster. She instantly slid her palm over the bulge of my pants, struggling to grab my crotch as
REGINA After a good while, all we found was nothing but large mountains, a couple of trees sticking out around cooler areas and endless piles of dusty stones. “We can’t be sure we’re making any headway.” Ray stated now beneath one of the shades we found with trees around. “Neither can we be sure we’re safe, right?” I mentioned. Ray gave me an inquisitive glance. “You feel it could be dangerous finding the Mountain Men?” I shrugged. “Well, we can’t exactly tell what is going on yet, can we?” “So what is your plan B? What would happen if we found these Mountain Men and we couldn’t seem to find our way back?” “Lionel would definitely come to look for us.” I replied. Ray seemed panicked. “Look, I need us to get this straight. You said Lionel would not be here to find us.” “Yes, that’s if, of course, I make it back in a day plus and not more than that
REGINA “Such is life. I need help here, Ray, and from your knowledge, only you can help me in this desperate time.” I convinced him further. He nodded now, apparently more energized and ready for the trip. “Alright, are we going to walk there or take a vehicle?” “I don’t want us drawing attention. It’s a tourist center so eyes could be on us. I think we should walk the way.” Ray made a face but shrugged nevertheless. “Alright, we move then.” He replied. I headed for the door slowly and hesitated when I felt his arm on my shoulder. “Regina, are you sure about this?” He asked. I smiled. “Believe me, no sane person wants to embark on this journey. If it wasn’t that important, I wouldn’t be doing this.” He nodded. “Then let’s do what had to be done.’ I left the room, happy to have met someone as helpful and supportive as Ray. As we made our way out of the room, I locke
REGINA “Don’t worry, Ray. There’s nothing you should worry about.” “Regina, your husband was a werewolf and you didn’t even, at least, warn me that he was something of such, not to talk about even telling me about this. In all, I should have just stayed away from you!” “To hell with that, Ray!” I shot back. “Whatever Lionel is cannot stop me from living my life the way I want!” He shook his head. “Regina… Regina… You’re not listening. Your so-called husband could have killed me. That easy, Regina!” “He wouldn’t hurt you. He could threaten you but he wouldn’t hurt you.” “What is wrong with you? I mean, you sound so sure of something so abnormal.” I shrugged. “What can I say? He’s my husband.” Ray suddenly paused and I could see a new curiosity on his face. It was like he had read another new discovery in my words. “Regina… if you could marry the werewolf. Are you al
REGINA I was alive, I was safe, and I was just wondering whether Lionel was even thinking about me. It began with the night of the accident when the car had slid down the hill and Lionel had come just in time to rescue me. That same night, I had struck a new deal with him and saved myself from having to be blackmailed each time I set my eyes upon him—I was not going to bother Grandpa with news of the accident and he was not going to ever bring it up as me being indebted to him. It had gone perfectly well with him in his room, and at this point, all I wanted to do was return to my room and allow myself to fall deeply asleep. It was just after I had a shower that I got a knock. The first idea I had was that Lionel was back again with something to rule out my little threat against him. On the contrary, it was my good new friend. It was Ray. “Hey, Ray.” I made to shake him as I extended my hand to him. He shrugg
LIONEL The suspense was killing me. I couldn’t get my mind wrapped around what Regina could have been doing to not be present in neither the hotel nor the bus. Had she gone back? No, she hadn’t. If she had, at least the girls would have seen her. They sounded honest enough. They had not set eyes on neither the woman nor Ray. Ray! The name sent pangs of anger firing through my head. What had they both been up to? Now, this was beginning to look scary. After all, she just met the guy. What if Ray had done something terrible to Regina? What if Ray had... You need to remain calm. I heard Lucius instruct from within me. Regina could be in trouble. I replied within my thoughts. No, Lionel. Look at it more clearly. After all, Regina never loved you, and she knew very well that you didn’t love her. This could just be her plot to make you panic. Lucius re
LIONEL I joined the bus as I met the driver. “Hey, good morning.” The driver greeted me in the most absurdly friendly manner ever. “Good morning,” I replied. “Looks like you’d be joining us today.” He mentioned. I got into the bus now and took my usual position at the back. There were new faces of tourists in the new bus. In fact, I recognized none. And Regina was not present. Neither was Ray. Where the fuck were they? “Yes, I’d be joining you.” I replied. “That means your wife’s all good?” I scanned again for Regina. She truly wasn’t in the goddamned bus. “Yeah.” I replied. “Wait, she’s not here yet. I assume she’s yet to come.” “I guess she’s joined another rider.” “Another rider?” “Yeah, there was a bus that came earlier for tourists that wanted to start their journey much earlier today.” He repl
LIONEL I was still embracing the stillness of the night with just a couple out on the beach when I noticed a familiar silhouette of a woman walking through the dark. The man beside her was also strikingly familiar. I had seen just the same two silhouettes last night. “Is that…” I murmured to myself. Regina and Ray? Yes. I heard Lucius affirm within me. I wasn’t imagining this. Regina was out with the same man I had threatened just some hours ago? The same man that had stopped me from preventing the accident that took place? And after everything, here he was, gliding through the night with my wife. This was beginning to look like something else. Was Regina cheating on me with Ray? I gritted my teeth, trying to control the anger but I couldn’t. I instantly dove straight into the room and headed for the door. Where are you going? Lucius asked. “I need to teach that piece of shit
LIONEL I was yet to leave the driver back in the clinic when he asked the question that aroused my curiosity. “The lady is your wife? I’ve not seen her since the accident. I’m still checking around the clinic. I couldn’t have known she was your wife. You both were not…” Yeah, yeah, yeah... I knew what was running through his mind. My own wife basically spent the whole time discussing with another man while I stayed in that same bus, acting like she didn’t even exist until she almost died. “I know, she’s my wife, though.” I replied. There was a way the driver kept staring at me, like he was mesmerised by the mere appearance of me. “And your wife, do you think she’ll be okay enough for a trip tomorrow?” He was suspicious of us and I could see it. Not like he was already thinking we were werewolves or something. More like he was trying to understand us, particularly to see just wh
