Chapter 30: Pretty Little Problem

Celine’s POV

It was Monday morning and, as usual, I was having a bad day at the office. I didn’t have a good relationship with my annoying coworkers. They were jealous of the fact that my dad was a millionaire. Yeah, right! If only they knew the truth.

I took an elevator from the meeting where I had been all morning back to my office.

I shared the office with two other people who I disliked. I knew I was always the topic of their gossip, but I didn’t care. This morning, though, they seemed to be talking and laughing a lot more. They would look at their phones, then at me, and giggle. I ignored them. I had bigger worries. My dad asked me to join him for lunch. He said it was urgent. And he had sounded anxious.
