Chapter 2: the mate lecture

"Diana found her mate! He is her mate!!!" Diane screamed loudly as she couldn't contain her joy.

Hayden place his hand on her waist as he deepen the kiss and Diana quickly came back to her senses and push him  away with her heart pounding in her chest. Hayden licked his lips with his tongue as he push his black hair backward. Her lips tasted so much like caramel and Cheryl.

It's too sweet!!

"What.. what just happened ?" Diana stuttered as she look at him in confusion. Her mind looks blank as she couldn't decipher what just happened.

"I will tell you what happened!" Diane said in a very loud voice and rush to Diana side.

"you just found your mate Diana !!" Diane exclaimed happily as she tuck on Diana hoodie.

"H...huh??...I" Diana gluped down hard and Hayden kept staring at her.

He has never felt anything like this  before. something pulled them together to the extent they kissed and to be honest he  really likes it.

"M..mate?.... but that's impossible!...I mean.." Diana battle with her words.

"What do you mean by impossible?" Prof Taylor asked with a smile as she stepped into the classroom. She is a middle-aged woman in her forties.  Her blonde hair is packed into a ponytail with a short grey skirt that reveals her fair long legs and a grey coat.

Her pair of medicated chic glasses rest perfectly on her nose. She had a sweet smile on her face which reveals her long canines.

"I think it's time for some lectures " she said with a smile and everyone went to their respective seats.

"The Moon goddess gave every werewolf a mate. A mate who's supposed to be with you till the end of time. You both are bond to each other and nothing will be able to seperate you both. Now In a case where the male wolf rejects his mate, he is ought to be prepared " she said while walking to and fro in front of the classroom.

"Pre.. prapared ?" Diane asked and rasied her brow slightly. She is very interested in every conversation that has to do with mates and she is really paying full attention to the lecture.

"Yes prepared. If he isn't strong enough he is bond to die" Prof Taylor reply.

"Die of what?" Hayden ask out of the blue. He seems to be interested in the part of the male wolf rejecting his mate and dying.

"Of tremendous pains. You can't reject a part of you, can you?" she asked with a smile and silence fill the entire classroom. Everyone seems to be paying attention.

"your mate is destined to you by the moon goddess. If you reject her you might die according to your fates but the amusing thing you need to know is that, if the rejected mate accepts the rejection, you will be free off the hook" Prof Taylor finalised with a smile and the entire became more calm and quiet.  Everyone seems to be meditating on the lecture except one person, Darelle..

So many thoughts ran through Diana's mind. Can she really cope with a mate like Hayden?

Hayden is  known for his arrogant behavior and proudness. His brother Hunter is the worst .

Hunter is known to be a playboy.  He sleeps with anything that bleeds three to five days a month. 

Some consider Hayden to be bearable but Hunter, they can't tell. 

Hunter is temperamental and inconsiderate. He has no regard for girls emotions.

Hayden on the other hand didn't say any more word and  Darelle didn't even listen to anything Prof Taylor said as he was busy listening to songs through his headphone.

"Darelle do you have any questions?" Prof Taylor asked as she fixed her eyes on Darelle who is sitting on the last seat at the very end of the class.

"None at all " He replied and Prof Taylor smiled at him. She knew he is not paying attention to the lecture.

"How many of you have found your mates?" Prof Taylor asked and almost everyone in the class raised their hands except for the Derick triplets and the Flynn brothers.

"Hayden isn't Diana your mate?" Prof Taylor asked when she noticed non of them raised their hands and Hayden reply with silence. He don't really know how he feels.

"You're still confused aren't you? Well don't be Hayden. It happens to everyone " She said and Diana eyes travelled to where Hayden is sitting to see his expression and met his gaze.

They both stared at each other for a while but she  quickly turn away her face. She is not used to akward stares like that and besides she only wanted to see his expression and not have a stare competition with him.

"The lecture is so interesting and I want to have a mate already" Diane beamed with her sweet voice.

"Don't worry, you will find yours soon" she reply and turned to face Hayden.

" Hayden, where is Hunter?" She asked. She had noticed his absence in the classroom.

"H...huh?" Hayden lift his head up 

"I don't know where he is. Maybe he is at the ability class" he replied slowly 

"Okay then. Now, let's dive into anatomy "she beamed and faced

the large board.

They all brought out thier notebooks except for Hayden who is busy staring at Diana intently with his icy blue eyes.

' there's no doubt she's beautiful' he thought to himself as he focus his gaze on her flawless fair face.

"Keep your claws sharp, and your mind more sharper. Always have a strategy before moving into battle. Look for your opponent weakness..." the Coach kept blabbing and Hunter isn't paying attention to what he is saying. 

He just sat down on the long bench and watch some guys train.

He doesn't really need the lecture. He's a pro at it already.

His eyes fell on a girl. She winked at him seductively and he smile.

The skirt she wore did little in hiding her thighs. Her crop top is too high making it reveal a great part of her cleavages with her hair dyed blue.

Her ears were dominated with piercings and her nose ring glittered. He's been trying to avoid eye contact with her but damn he can't play dumb to the green light she's giving him.

"Bitches everywhere. I see!"  Hunter smriked. He stood up and walked right towards her .

"Hey" Hennessy waved at Hunter.

"Hey. Can I please get some shades please?" he asked with a corny smile.

"Huh?" she giggled..

"Why?" She asked with a grin.

"Because your beauty is blinding" he winked and she blush so hard.

"I do have some shades but it's at the back" she said seductively moving closer to him. She place her hand on his broad chest and trailed it with her index finger.

"We can go get it,if you want" she added in a lust-filled tone. Hunter smirked knowing too damn well where this is heading to and as a playboy and a pervert, he will be damn not to follow .

"Come on" she grinned and dragg him out of the combat class.
