Just thinking about being with Ethan all the time at home after they got married seemed unbearable to Hanna, and now they would be together at work as well.

"Why don't you ask Cali to be your assistant instead? She already knows you, and you can be with her more often," Hanna suggested.

Ethan shot back, "Are you turning down my job offer? The salary is 1,200 dollars a month."

Her eyes widened. "I would never refuse an order from my superior. I'll start tomorrow."

"Good! There's a bonus if I like your performance," Ethan added.

What performance was Ethan talking about? She always gave 100% in everything she did.

"Why did you and Dylan grow distant?" Ethan asked.

Hanna was surprised by his question. "His parents didn't like me. They said I was a hindrance to their son's progress. They were right because when Dylan went abroad, he had a better life."
