Chapter 4: The family treasure

"You..are..a vampire" She stutters still in shock

Jesse controlled her urge for blood and helped her out of her trap.

"Treat yourself Bella, I'll come check up on you tomorrow" Jesse said and before Bella could utter another word, she already left her in a speed.

Yes, she's a vampire hunter but can she really hurt her first friend, that was the first question in her mind

She stood for some minutes before getting back to her senses

"No never, I'll never hurt her" She shooks her head negatively

She went in and cleaned her wounds then use a small plaster to cover it up.

She slept on the bed with her legs still on the floor

"She didn't try to hurt me so why should I hurt her, I'll never hurt her neither allow anyone hurt her" She murmur

After sometime she stood up and went downstairs with the aim of eating

"Oh Ana, you are here" Her uncle smile

Everyone was seated on the dining chairs

"Good morning uncle" She greeted before sitting down, Ana rolls her eyes

"Where are you coming from, I asked Ana to check up on you in your room but you're not there" He said

"Yea I was at the training ground" Bella said calmly

"As if she knows how to fight" She heard Ana murmur

"So what do you think about your birthday coming up next tomorrow" Her uncle asked

"Well, it'll be nice if I celebrate it privately with my family, don't you think?" She smile charmingly

"Okay then"

"I'm going some where after eating, make sure you guys don't fight" He warned them

"Okay dad"

"Okay uncle" The duos chorused

"But can you as well warn her not to get on my nerves" Ana said

"You know I'm supposed to be saying that" Bella smirked

"I won't hesitate to hurt you if you get on my nerves" She added

"Dad, you see she's threatening me already" Ana groaned

"I never did, just saying"

"Just make sure you guys don't fight" Her uncle warned

"Whatever" Both rolls their eyes with glares

After eating, Uncle Thomas went out and it was only the duos that were home.

"I guess your friend isn't coming after all" Ana laughs

"Yea she is" Bella said and took her phone 

She called Jesse and told her to come over

In more than 30 minutes, Jesse already got there.

"Hey Bella" She greeted waving at her

"I'm older than you" 

"That looks impossible to me cause you look like a kid" Jesse chuckles

Bella almost laughed because of this but she held herself

"Okay, let's go to my room, I have something to ask you" 

"Okay" Jesse smile

They both stood up and went upstairs.

As if Ana noticed something was off, she followed them quietly and stood in front of Bella door

She heard nothing for some minutes and decided to leave but Bella's voice stopped her.

"Aren't you afraid of me?" That was Bella's voice 

"Why?" Jesse asked lowly

"I can easily kill you" 

"You won't kill me" Jesse said confidently 

"And why are you so sure" Bella asked, her face expressionless

"You would have done that immediately you figured out I'm a vampire but you didn't which only means you didn't want to hurt me" She shrugs

Ana gasped outside the door and quickly left there to go to the sitting room

"I'll surely tell dad about this" She thought

Soon, Bella and her friend joined her and she glared at Jesse.

"Now what again?" Jesse chuckles

"Don't mind her" Bella said

"Okay I'll be going now" Jesse announced

"Okay, let me see you off" 

She followed her till they got to the main gate of the house

"Bye" She waved at her

"Yea bye" Jesse smile

The gatekeeper opened the door for her and she went out.

Bella went back in and sat at the sitting room watching movie together with Ara and soon it was evening

Her uncle arrived and went in to freshen up

After freshening up, he came downstairs for dinner, they all sat together at the dinning table eating when Ana broke the silence

"Dad, I have something to say" She said

"What's that sweetheart" Uncle Thomas asked and Bella roll her eyes

"Bella's friend is a vampire" She blurted out and Bella scoff

She was expecting this sooner or later so she doesn't seem fazed by this

Her uncle didn't say anything for a while

"So..." He paused

"Dad, we are hunters we are expected to wipe out their generations not befriend them" Ana groaned

"And how's that your business if I decide not to hurt my friend" Bella gnash angrily

She has been helding herself not to say anything but now she has no choice

"Because you are an hunter and you gat to behave like one" Ana shouts

"I don't think I remember you behaving like one though" Bella scoffed

"Okay girls stop, you can be her friend Bella"

"You can also invite her to your birthday party" Her uncle sighs

"Dadddd" Ana drawled

"No more arguments Ana" Her uncle said firmly

"And yea stop prying into my business, makes you look like an hypocrite" Bella roll her eyes

They all finished eating and went to their various room

Bella called Jesse to inform her about her birthday party.

("On her 18th birthday")

It was night already and her uncle just gave her the family treasure which had been locked since the time she was born.

It can only be unlocked when she clocks 18.

"Thanks uncle" She smile at him

"Okay Bella" Her uncle said simply

She went to her room and was about to open the box when Jesse arrived

"Happy birthday best" She winks

"Thanks Jesse" She smile keeping the box at one side

"Now party time" Jesse screamed and without waiting for Bella's reply, she dragged her and they went to a club.

"Really Jesse" She smiled

"Common it won't kill" Jesse said and pushed her in

They both drank alcohol till they got drunk.

(Next day)

Bella woke up with a slight headache and looked around the room, she didn't see Jesse

"Maybe she went home already" She thought and stood up 

She went into the bathroom and took her bath before going downstairs.

She saw her uncle and Ana at the dining about to eat

"Didn't even care to call me" She rolls her eyes

She wanted to take a step but she heard a knock on the door.

"I'll take it" She said and went towards the door, opening the door, her eyes went wide 

"What the fuck?" She gasped
