Chapter 4: Memories Part2

A parallel world…during my free time, it had always been my hobby to visit the library but due to my circumstances at home, i had never been able to rent out any book I like from the library but there are some good novels there that i had read and one of them was about life in a different world. I had never got the chance to finish that book but now I really wish I did. I  had not read it completely but this situation sure is similar. 

However, these memories of this girl sure are vivid, but from what I saw in those visions I can more or less see what was going on. Okay let me get this straight. 

My wishes have somehow been granted and now I am in a totally different world living a completely new life. However, this is not the life I am living. It seemed like I wasn't reborn but it was more like my soul was transferred in this new body. As for who this person is. Her name is Luna Whitewales. The last born daughter of the Whitewales noble family in the country of Zenon. This is a pretty average noble family out in the countryside and my father oversees this small town called Farlake Town. A town that got its name due to the beautiful lake present at the top of the mountain near the town. The lake was known as the Far-Lake due to the incredibly bad terrain of the mountain that makes the journey from the bottom of the mountain to the lake on top very difficult and takes more than half a day to reach it. However the lake was incredibly beautiful and although the mountain sides were not much to see, the view at the top was incredibly beautiful and a sight to behold. It has been a tradition in the town that when their children turn fifteen, parents would take their children to the top and have them take a bath at the top of the lake as a belief that it would bring them great fortune. 

That was how it was supposed to be for Luna too. She had turned fifteen the other day and unknown to the Whitewales family, another person had also set their mind to get to the top of the mountain but this person was no ordinary individual. He was an outsider and had arrived in town the other day. When Luna, presumably me, had arrived on the top of that hill after a long tiring journey, he was already at the top of the hill before them. According to these memories, that person took an interest the moment he saw her and without any hesitation after, he revealed himself to be the King of the royal family! The Zenon Royal family to be exact. In other words, he is an incredible character and not someone a small noble family out in the countryside can afford to offend. 

Luna was a girl who was quite pampered since she was young and had always acted all high and mighty and she had never really respected anyone but her parents who adored and kept on spoiling her. But coincidently too, she is actually quite shy and doesn't really like speaking to other people. She doesn't like going out too but for some reason she was really hype to see this lake. But when all is said, she is still adored by people and she was known throughout the town for her beauty. Neighboring nobles too who have heard of her were interested to have her as their in laws and would always have their children try to capture her heart. But that was not easy for it seems that this girl is really not interested in romance or it seems? But I can tell that she doesn't like it when other guys get close to her or act all cheesy. 

My Father and Mother as well as Luna who were there that time along with a few maidservant who had accompanied them were stunned to see the King appearing before them. They stood in surprise and shocked for a while then unconsciously bowed down to the man. 

“Forgive us your Highness for not recognising you earlier”. Luna’s father or well actually my father now, was good with his way with words so Mother and the others could only remain silent and hope that whatever is happening, my father would be able to talk things through. 

“Haha. No need for that. If you were to have noticed me then I will have to fire the person who disguised me when I go back. Good to know that he did a good job. Hahaha.” 

“May I ask what are you doing all the way out here, your Highness.’’

“Can’t a king roam about his own country? Hahaha. I have long heard about the beauty of this place and had always wanted to visit once but work at the Palace had not permitted me to. So I snuck out a few days back to come here for a breather. This has not disappointed me. And boy it really didn't. I had never expected to witness another beauty apart from this place. Tell me young man, is this your daughter?”

“Yes your Highness. She is my last born as well as my only daughter. Has your Highness taken an interest in our daughter?”

“Surely I am. Well I have a son about her age and I would love to have her meet him. Speaking of which, this month at the end of the last week, there will be a party at the royal palace. I would love to have your noble family with us.”

“Hahaha. Your Highness sure is kind. But such a party will be unsettling and will probably ruin the wine if such a small noble family like ours is being invited.”

“Such matters can be handled with ease. You can rest assured that no such thing will happen and who would dare look down upon guests I have personally invited.” 

“If you say so then it would be insulting to you now if we don’t come to your party.” 

“Haha. Keep your word then. Here is a Seal Token of the Royal family. Be sure to bring that with you or you won’t get past the Entrance Guards of the Royal Palace. I don't have an invite with me after all. Hahaha.” 

He handed them the token that had the symbol of the Royal Family and put it back on his disguise. 

“Now then, be sure to bring your daughter along too. Hahaha.”

“Your Highness is too kind. And are you going back so soon? Why not spend a night at our humble home and tomorrow we will arrange a carriage for you?”

“I am thankful for the thought but I cannot do so. I have to go back now. Well then, we will meet again at the Capital.” 

“We are grateful to have gotten this chance to meet you, Your HigHness. May you have a safe journey ahead. We also look forward to the party.” 

The King went back down the hill and we watched him as he disappeared into the woods downhill.

Well that was the memory I was shown. As for what’s next, that happened. Yes. I actually met an ACTUAL REAL LIFE PRINCE!!!
