Chapter 2: The Past ,Present and The Unknown

“Hey , look who it is”, said a particularly young boy who oddly felt familiar. This voice? Yes it really is him, but what is he doing here? And where am I? Wait, why is my surroundings so blurry? What is happening?! Ahhh! My head, it hurts! 

“Aww if it isn't little Luna, what a sweet name you have. But what is that on your face? Oh shit! Is that ugliness? How could someone as ugly as you have such a name? Luna…Hahahahaha!!”

I remember! This is Dane, the one who kept on bullying me throughout my middle and high school life. As if struck by bad luck I end up having to suffer from his harassment for a pretty long time. I hated him a lot. But what is this? Are these memories! Why am I remembering them now? Wait ‘Remember’ ?! I feel like I am forgetting something. What is it? Ahh, my head hurts. And also it's so cold. I'm trembling, but at the same time why am I feeling so sad?  Huh! Tears? Why am I? MOTHER!! Mother, where are you?! Mothe- 

Luna looked around and finally found her standing a few distant away from her and smiling gently at her as she fades away into the blurry surroundings. Luna stood up and tried to catch up to her but she was hit by a sudden intense headache that dropped her to the ground and had her screaming in pain. At that moment, a gush of her memories flowed back in her, especially the bad ones. All her past traumas came back to her at that point and she screamed and cried in agony. As her memories slowly came back to her, a thought came to her as now she had remembered  it all.

“Is this God’s punishment? Was I supposed to just live my barren life full of suffering? Am I being punished now? Well so be it! This suffering is way better than living in that hell! 

Luna had begun giving up and was accepting her fate when suddenly she heard a sweet voice. 

“Luna…’’ 

How sweet that voice was. Now this voice I don't recṣognised. Who is it? She tried to open her eyes amidst the pain and could only see a bright silhouette as she approached her.

“Your wishes have been answered’. 

My wishes? What is she talking about?

“Now...Wake up!!!''

The moment she heard that, she came to her senses and as if she had a long weary nightmare, she sat up and started gasping and felt like she was out of air. Was that a dream? Didn't I just die? Or did someone save me from that river?  Huh? Where is this? This doesn’t seem like a hospital. 

She looks around the room and notices how out of place things are yet so beautiful she felt like she was in a mansion’s room or something. It was spacious and everything seemed so grand and beautiful. Her bed is so huge and soft and I saw the many pillows on her bed. ‘’That's a lot of pillows’’, a thought went through her mind after seeing that.

But whose house is this? It's really so grand. And this sound, it sounds like someone is approaching. Is it the person who saved me? 

‘’Luna…”.

A woman’s voice was heard from behind the door and followed by a knock.

Who was that? How did she know my name? 

“Luna? Are you up yet? Mother wishes to talk with you. Do you mind?’’

‘’Mother? Mother?’’

The moment Luna heard that, she sprang out of her bed and rushed to the door and opened it. She quickly opened the door and was about to call out to her mother when the woman's face was revealed and got her dumb founded. It was not her mother. The woman looked rather young and seemed to be in her early thirties. She was beautiful and seemed very elegant and sophisticated. Yet on her look it was obvious that she was very anxious about something and seemed to have been deeply troubled by it.

‘’My dear! You startled me. How are you? Did you sleep well? Ohh look how messed up you are. Did you have a nightmare?”, said the woman in a very worrisome manner.

“I am fine’’. That was all she could say and was only stumped by the current situation and not knowing what to do or say?

“Dear you don’t seem fine at all, but it's also understanding that you would feel this way. Come here, let mother help you with your hair”. She said so and took Luna's hand and pulled her back into the room towards the mirror in the room.

Luna was even more confused now. Was she not supposed to have only been someone who had been saved? Didn't mother die? Who is this woman who keeps calling herself mother? Is that perhaps how she's called? And why is she always giving me that look? All these thoughts ran through her mind as they came closer to the mirror. She had already started noticing how different her hands look and soon started to realize her only guess. 

There she was now. Standing right in front of the mirror and witnessing her own reflection. An amazingly mesmerizing beauty unlike any she had ever seen before. A young fine girl with a wave of waist long silver hair that reminds her of the moon, incredible skin and figure that puts all idols to shame. She stood so in front of the mirror and not budging even a bit but to stare at her reflection unbelieving of what she was seeing. 

‘’You shouldn't look like that, my child. Do you dislike yourself that much?  I know it has always been hard for you but just for today can you atleast do mother a favor and put up a good face’’. The woman was always talking in a gloomy manner and as curious as I am to know what was happening. There are other things to worry about. What just happened!

Who are these people and where is this place and WHO AM I? What is going on? I was supposed to die. Why am I here inside someone else's body? Did I really die? Or uhhh! I can’t think of a single thing!

“My child, what is wrong? You seem unusually anxious? Do you need anything? Mother will get you anything you wish’’.

WISH?? That’s right!.... That night! I made those wishes. Wait! Don't tell me that….!! Ahh! Let me see what my wishes were. Ahh YES, one of my wishes was that if I ever get a second chance, I would love to be reborn. Is this a sign that my wishes were answered? But by who? and HOW? This is all too hard! And I don't remember much of my other wishes since I just blurted whatever at that moment. But I might remember them if I try. Yes, one of them has something to do with my looks and appearance too. I remember vaguely that I wished for looks incomparable to anybody else in the whole world. And true, even I must say I look way too cute and this is not just some beauty. It's too extraordinary. 

Just thinking of this now makes Luna excited and her expression starten to lighten up. 

The woman then smiled, stood up before her and placed her hand on her cheek. Her palm was warm and unexpectedly comforting. She looked at her and said, “Mmm, I don't know why you brighten up but I am happy to see you this way. And I would love to have you look like this for the whole day. You have a very important day ahead. Ohh my dear Luna growing up all mature now. Dont worry my dear, even if you have to leave us, Mother will always still be in your heart’’.

“ Leave you? I am leaving?” Luna said so with a confused face. 

“What are you talking about my dear? Of course you will have to leave. Mother will only accompany you to the castle where you will be living now. I cannot stay there with you”. 

Luna was confused but chose to stay silent. Of course she won't know what was going on as she has just been here. Suddenly there was a knock on the door of their room. 

“That must be it. So it has finally arrived. Come in”. 

The doors opened and a group of three to four maids came in the room and with them they brought an incredibly beautiful gown the same color of her current hair. It seems to be a wedding gown. WAIT!!! WEDDING GOWN??!!

“Oh My, how magnificent this looks. Don't you think so, my dear. I cannot wait to see you in this”. 

“Wait a minute! I… I have to wear this!? Isn't this a wedding gown?”

The moment Luna said that, the woman looked a bit surprised  but answered her anyway. 

“Of course my dear. You're getting married after all. It's only obvious you have to wear one. Especially for you. It's a grand wedding after all”.

Luna’s expression instantly changed again, losing all rational reasoning and left with a single thought on her mind. 

I..I.. I…I’M GETTING MARRIED!!!????? 

HUUUHHH!!!????
