81. Gabriel Awakens from Coma

After being in a coma for over two months, Gabriel finally woke up. The man stared vaguely at all corners of the room where he was being treated. His head felt very dizzy; he squinted as the light made him feel very dazzled.

“He's awake!”

“Tell Mrs. Rossie that Gabriel is awake!”

“I'll do a check.”

All the guards and doctors on duty were excited when the patient they had been guarding and caring for finally woke up from his coma. They had resigned themselves to the fact that Gabriel would die, as his signs of life were very slim. The gunshot wound on his body was fatal, especially since it wasn't just one shot.

If not for Rossie's efforts and hard work, Gabriel might not have survived. She was the woman who had fought so hard to save Gabriel's life. Gabriel owed her his life. This should have made it easier for Rossie to win Gabriel's heart. She could force him to accept her love because she had saved Gabriel from death.

Rossie, who got the good news, was very happy. She quickly ran to the room where Gabriel was being treated. She hugged him tightly, crying because she was too happy.

Gabriel, whose consciousness had not fully recovered, could only remain silent with a confused face. He stared at the people with a blank look. He looked like he was in a daze, as if he were a corpse without a soul.

“Gabriel. I'm glad you finally woke up from your coma. You know, I've been waiting for this for so long. I've been praying day and night, asking God for you to wake up soon. I never thought I would finally see you open your eyes again.” Rossie said passionately. She released the hug. She framed Gabriel's face with both palms.

That face still looked very handsome, even though it was very pale. Rossie took care of him all the time. She shaved his mustache and beard when they started to grow. She took care of his hair every day. She wiped his body with a wet cloth every day. If he woke up now, people would not know that he had just woken up from a coma. That's because he was completely clean and well-groomed.

Rossie even did a mani-pedi on Gabriel's nails every week. Rossie does it with great joy and pleasure. Because she could touch Gabriel's entire body without any restrictions. She could be content to touch and enjoy Gabriel's body when he was unconscious, because she couldn't do what she wanted if Gabriel was conscious and fine.

The man's good looks had not diminished in the slightest.

“Kate.” The name came weakly from Gabriel's mouth.

Hearing Caterina's name mentioned, Rossie became very upset. She made a sour face, removed her touch on Gabriel's face, and clucked irritably.

Why did it have to be Caterina? She was the one who had been taking care of Gabriel tirelessly, praying for him, looking for the best doctor to cure him. Caterina didn't even do anything. While Gabriel was dying, Caterina was busy with another man. Why did Caterina's name come out of his mouth first when he woke up from his coma? This wasn't fair to Rossie.

“Kate.” Gabriel called out again, but his gaze was directed at Rossie.

It seemed that he only remembered Caterina during his coma. So that was the name that immediately came to mind when he woke up from his coma. However, his consciousness hadn't fully recovered, so he thought Rossie was Caterina.

People who wake up from a coma need time to recover their mind and body. This seemed to be the bridge for Rossie to steal his heart.

Rossie smiled sweetly; she approached Gabriel again and took the man's hand.

“I'm here, so you can rest easy. Everything will be fine.” Rossie said with great tenderness.

Gabriel was silent. He touched Rossie's face gently.

Rossie felt so blushed; her heart was beating so fast. She suddenly felt very nervous because Gabriel had never done that before. Let alone touching his face, Gabriel was very reluctant to talk to her.

Suddenly Rossie became nervous to death.

“Are you sick?” Gabriel asked in a hoarse voice. His voice sounded so heavy and hoarse, as he had just woken up from a coma after a long time. Just being able to speak was already a huge development for Gabriel's recovery.

Rossie shook her head slowly.

“Your face feels warm; your cheeks are flushed too.”

Rossie blushed even more when she heard that because she was caught being nervous.

“I heard that Gabriel has recovered from his coma.” Marco's voice echoed as he entered the room.

Marco stopped when he saw the intimate scene ahead. His sister looked so happy. He unconsciously smiled when he saw the smile on his sister's lips. He felt calm now. Earlier he thought Gabriel would go berserk when the man woke up from his coma and realized where he was. In fact, Marco's worries were not confirmed.

“Marco ....” Rossie turned to look at her brother with eyes puffy with tears. They were tears of joy.

Marco gave a small nod with a smile. “I thought you guys needed some privacy.”

Marco glanced at his men and the doctors he had hired, as if he was giving a code for them all to leave the room to give Rossie and Gabriel time and space to spend together.
