11. Negotiation

A collision occurred when Alex hit the back of a black car driven by the enemy. The black car lost control and eventually hit the roadblock and stopped. Leonardo and some of his men immediately got out of the car. The man's face looked very fierce as he stepped confidently towards the car in front of him.

With a fierce face, Leonardo grabbed the shirt of the man who had given him the envelope containing Caterina's collection of photos. His eyes were fierce, his nerves were racing, his jaw was hardened, and the veins on his neck were clearly defined.

“Where is Marco?” Leonardo asked in an intimidating tone. Everyone would feel scared when faced with Leonardo's angry mode.

The man chose to remain silent, he didn't want to answer at all.

“Tell me, where did that son of a bitch take Caterina?!” Leonardo raised the volume of his voice even more. He brought his face closer, until the heat of his breath touched the man's face.

The man still didn't want to answer. His face was covered in blood, as his forehead hit the dashboard of the car quite hard.

“Hurry up and say it! Don't make my boss even angrier!” Alex said. He thrust the gun right at the man's forehead.

Police car sirens could be heard in the distance. Someone must have reported to the police after the collision.

Leonardo and his entourage didn't seem to move at all. They were not afraid of the police, because the police were afraid of them. La Vendetta not only controlled the economy, but they had also managed to ride roughshod over the government. No one dares to touch La Vendetta, because they are immune to the law.

The man still didn't want to answer, he looked at Alex with a smile, then quickly moved to pull the trigger of Alex's gun. He would rather die than have to tell the whereabouts of Marco who had taken Caterina hostage.

“Shit!” Leonardo cursed in annoyance.

The police arrived at the scene. They acted as if they hadn't seen anything when they found Leonardo there.

Leonardo looked around the car, he found a cell phone that belonged to the dead man. He grabbed the phone and hung onto it.

“Let's go!” Leonardo gave the order, they hurried away after him.

Leonardo handed the cell phone over to one of his men who was the most reliable in resting and mastering all kinds of technology, finding the location of the cell phone number was not a difficult thing for him. Fortunately, they found some messages sent by Marco, so they detected the location of the number.

It only took his men ten minutes. Until they found the location radar.

“I found it!” The man said happily. He forwarded the location to the GPS in the car, then asked Alex to drive following the maps he had just set up.

Leonardo was very impatient. He seemed so agitated along the way, his breathing sounded heavier than usual. His hands kept clenching, a sign that he was still in vengeful mode.

The white Maybach stopped when they arrived at their destination. Followed by a string of other cars containing Leonardo's men.

“So, this is the place?” Leonardo stared at the luxurious mansion that stood majestically in front of there. The mansion did not look like a headquarters.

“Prepare your weapons.” Leonardo said with authority. He grabbed his pistol, pocketed some bullets and hurried out of the car. His men did the same.

Leonardo's steps stopped in front of the gate, the gate guards held their steps. One of the guards spoke over the HT to inform the people inside that the enemy had arrived.

“Lord Luca wants to negotiate, so no fighting here.” The guard informed.

“Boss.” Alex looked at Leonardo for orders. If Leonardo said yes, then they would raise their weapons now.

“What does he want to negotiate?” Leonardo stared intently. He lifted his hat slightly, so that the sharp lines on his face were visible to the man.

The man looked shocked and frightened after receiving the gaze Leonardo gave him. Of course, everyone was afraid of Leonardo's piercing gaze.

“I-I don't know, please wait for Mr. Luca here.” The man said a little nervously after his eyes and Leonardo's eyes met.

“How long should we wait? Someone like you shouldn't be giving orders to Mr. Bianchi.” Alex looked angry. Other than Leonardo, Alex was a person who was easily provoked.

“Just wait, don't ask too many questions!” The man replied irritably.

After waiting for some time, Marco finally appeared. He strode casually as he dragged Caroline, whose hands he had tied. Caroline looked so miserable. Her appearance was disheveled, her hair matted, her face looking gloomy.

Leonardo looked at her with a feeling that was hard to describe, he clenched his fingers even tighter.

“I didn't expect you to find my hiding place so quickly.” Marco complimented.

“What do you want?” Leonardo immediately asked without preamble.

“I want to make a transaction.”

“How much do you want?”

Marco chuckled when he heard the question Leonardo asked. “I'm not the one who's short of money.”

“Don't waste time, tell me what you want?” Leonardo emphasized his words. He looked at Caterina with a look that was hard to explain. There were many feelings portrayed there. While Caterina only stared at the tips of her toes. The woman preferred to look away, rather than endure the pain when she looked at Leonardo's face. She knew there was only hatred in Leonardo's heart for her. She wanted to erase her feelings of love, but it wasn't that easy.

“Kate.” Leonardo said softly, his voice very low and swallowed by the night wind. No one could hear the call, not even himself.

“I want you out of La Vendetta in exchange for her life.” Marco looked at Caterina who was still under his control.

Caterina laughed slightly when she heard Marco's words. She felt so tickled at the confidence Marco had that Leonardo would agree to the deal.

“What a fool.” Caterina said with a sinister smile on her lips.
