Celestine's POV

"I want to know something." He cups my head, his fingers sinking into my hair as his eyes hold mine. "Why did you leave?"

"Your father found out about us."

It feels so good to finally say what I've been burying inside of me all this while. It feels so good to finally get it off my chest.

Lorenzo's face falls at my words and he lowers me back onto the floor. "My father found out?" His fingers sink into

his hair and he pulls on the end strands while looking scared out of his mind. "How? We were very careful." He runs his palms down his face. "How did he find out?"

"I have no idea how he found out." The only reasonable explanation I could come up with is that he might have caught us together at the house or he hired someone to watch Lorenzo. I'm leaning toward the latter.

"He didn't mention anything to me when he saw me last week." Lorenzo is now clutching his head in his hands. "Why didn't he say anything?"

Probably because he is a sociopath who enjoys playing mi
