Chapter 86

Celestine's POV

"You don't mean that." There's no way he's ready to throw away his future for me. Is he crazy?

"I do." His eyes hold mine so I can see the hard promise in them. "I would give up everything if it means I could be with you." He cups my jaw and his thumbs graze against my cheeks. "Wouldn't you do the same for me?"

The uncertainty in those beautiful green eyes squeezes at my chest.

I snake my hands around his neck and rise to kiss him.

When we are both breathless, I pull away and rest my forehead on his. "I would give up everything for you too."

If there's anything I've learned in this past month, it would be that living without Lorenzo is hell on earth. So, I would rather experience that hell with Lorenzo by my side.
