A few days later.

Celestine's POV.

I'm back where I started. All my hard work and dedication that I had put into pulling myself out of this sad place have all gone down the drain. All because I had seen Lorenzo.

I can still see the hate in his eyes when he looked at me. I didn't expect anything other than that though. After all, I had left him alone and ignored every attempt to reach out to me. I deserve that hatred and more.

He didn't even say anything to me. He had just looked through me like I didn't exist and somehow that hurt more than any hurtful words could. I would have preferred if he had hailed accusations and curses at me instead of keeping mute.
