Chapter 66

Lorenzo's POV

"Why did you tell me to meet you up here?" Luke asked, sliding into the booth with me.

"I need your help with something." I pick up the menu, skimming through it in case something catches my eye.

"What is it?" He picks up the other menu, going through the same process as me.

"I need to pick out a ring," I say in a flat tone.

It's almost comical the way Luke slams his menu on the table and screams, drawing looks from the other people in the restaurant. "What the fuck! You're getting married?" Looks he ignored.

"It's a promise ring, not an engagement ring." I have thought this through. I'm not delusional to think that the next few years will be easy on Celestine and me, but hopefully having those rings as a symbol of our love will give us the strength and courage to go through those hard times together.

"Oh. Oh, I'm so sorry." Luke slaps his forehead. "It's almost as if a promise ring isn't given to someone you have the intention of marrying." He places a hand on his chest
