Celestine's POV

"Let's go find you something." She pulls me by my hand into the store, ignoring my protests. And trust me, they were a lot of them.

"Which should we go with?" Joey holds up a corset that comes with suspender belts and a crotchless underwear set. She holds them up in front of my body, exchanging one for the other a few times. "Fuck it. Let's get both."

She pulls me- something she seems to be doing a lot today- to the checkpoint, places the two outfits on the counter, and pulls out her wallet.

"No. I'll pay for it," I say, reaching into my purse for my wallet.

"Nonsense." She swats my hand just as I extend my credit card to the cashier. "Think of it as a thank-you gift." She gives the lady behind the counter her card instead.

I let out a tiny thank you as the lady rings up our purchase and puts it in a bag for us.

She hands it to Joey and Joey passes it over to me. "I hope you enjoy the gift," she comments with a sly smile on her face. I can feel my face heat up. "Let'
