Chapter 3

Gabriella was welled into the emergency ward after she was found lying helplessly on the floor by Anna Her maid, as she came to check on her early in the morning,

A few moments later she regained consciousness, she found herself on an infusion, and she felt weak. She saw Anna sitting next to her and she looked out the ward window and saw the doctor talking to Fredrick and her father who were informed of Gabriella's condition.

Mr. Albani and Fredrick were informed of Gabriella's condition by the doctor as he handed the pregnancy report to Fredrick, their faces were covered with sadness and Mr. Albani was bitter and at the same time. 

Fredrick stormed the room with a burning fire in his eyes and gazed at her with an infuriating look, Fear gripped her immediately and she asked, is everything ok Fredrick, 

How could you lay there and ask me such nonsense,

 Gabriella was used to his harsh words ever since they announced their engagement, she had never met a soft side of Fredrick and she was wondering what she could have done wrong again to deserve this treatment from him now,

"Her eyes filled with fear, she stammered… have I done something wrong?"

" Everything about you is wrong," Fredrick pointed at her. Rita and Mr. Albani walked into the room slowly and stood at the corner of the room.

I have never met a Careless and stupid woman like you before in my life, how could you shamelessly think I will still be Married to you when you are lying down there with another Man's child in you,

The result of your wide night is out now and counts me out of anything that has to do with you and that thing you are carrying. 

Mr. Albani, you will hear from my Father.

He stormed out of the ward and left Gabriella in a shocking position,

How can I be pregnant, No I am not,

Fresh tears ran down her cheeks, the reality starred her in the face.

This is the same guy that was involved in setting her up, why is he acting this way towards me, He has completely ruined me, could he be acting angry Gabriella thought.

 

Mr. Albani stood still looking up and didn't have any word for Gabriella at the moment he turned to leave the room but turned back and gave Gabriella a cold look,

 “I Don't want to set my eyes on you ever again,”

He said and stormed out of the room. angry and disappointed.

Rita ordered Anna out of the room and she obeyed immediately, Gia walked into the room, 

Rita had called her immediately after she heard the news of her pregnancy and she didn't want to miss any more details,

She came in and waved at Gabriella who wasn't surprised to see her but with a different attitude and a smirk on her face.

How are you doing Gaby? Heard you are pregnant, I wonder how come, She said laughing, Rita stood and smiled back at Gia.

Rita came closer to Gabriella, smiling mischievously, "you are worthless, and have no more value to this family," she said,

" I would advise you to go far away so as not to tarnish your father's reputation any longer, his poor heart can't take any more of your excesses."

She turned her back and faced Gia who smiled back at her, both women proud of themselves 

I know you did this! Gabriella said in a heavy tone and a broken heart,

"What do you stand to gain in ruining me!!

What have I done to you and Gia?" Fresh tears ran down her cheeks, with her voice shook with every sound she made,

"You wanted my husband so bad, that you hurt me this way? Are you satisfied, is this all you have wished for? You want me out of my husband's house so bad, are you happy now" Gabriella screamed at Gia' as tears ran down her cheeks.

They both turned and looked at Gabriella at the same time,

"oh! You can't prove that darling, Gia said, and for the record, Fredrick has never been yours and will never be, who do you think has been keeping him company these past few months," 

Gia said with a wicked smile on her face? 

"He never loved you, He only has eyes for me now,

So do well and keep him out of your loose mind, cos from now on you will never have him, not with another Man's seed planted in you,"

Gia said with hatred in every word she altered.

"You will never raise that bastard in my house so you better not step your foot into my house ever again," Rita said in anger

I won't watch you bring more shame to my husband's good name, she said in a harsh tone!!

Once you are discharged leave and go and meet whoever is responsible for that bastard you are carrying,

Her stepmother and stepsister walked out of the room,

Just moments after they left, a man in a black suit holding a brown briefcase, walked in.

He opened a portfolio he brought out the divorce papers,

"Mrs. Barbero please sign this," 

"And what is that?" Gabriella asked, " Your divorce papers,"  

She couldn't believe Frederick was letting her go after what he did to her, well who would want to stay with a monster like Fredrick, she thought,

She took the papers and signed everywhere that had her name on it.

"Thanks for making my job easier for me," 

He smiled and walked away.

The nurse came to inform her that the room was about to be cleaned as she had already been discharged.

Gabriella thanked her for letting her stay one more day after her family abandoned her all alone,

Gabriella walked out of the hospital ward, Her tears gave way to her cheeks, she had been ruined. Her life has become empty and void.

No fiance, No mother, Everyone she thought she knew has turned against her, where is her home, who does she turn to for help?

She has only the dress she had on as her only belonging, she walked briskly out of the Hospital compound and wandered into the street and didn't know where to go, she was loitering on the pedestrian, like a lost dog.

A voice from behind called out her name Gabriella, but she was so lost in thought that she didn't hear her name,

 The voice called again “Gaby” and ran to hold her when a car ran past them with speed, the breeze from the car made them stagger, everyone looked at her and wondered if she was crazy or what.

What are you doing? Do you want to kill yourself self you were literally in the middle of the road, are you ok? Mira yelled at her and saw her puffy red eyes and how weak she looked,
