The Lerna Lake

"We really did it!" exclaimed Claire happily as she looked back at Leon who was still under her body.

"Yes, we did it," Leon replied with a smile. That smile made Claire's laughter stop. Again, Leon managed to stun her. However, Claire immediately threw away her thoughts, she quickly stood up and Leon stood beside her too.

In front of them now, was a vast lake.

"Lerna Lake, is one of the doors to the underworld which is controlled by Hades, the god of death," said Claire again.

“Yup! I hope we don't come face to face with Hades,” Leon replied.

Suddenly the lake water churned and the ground around them shook. Claire's heart skipped a beat and she then firmly grabbed her golden spear. Leon held his sword confidently, but actually his heart was beating fast. He doesn't know if he can really face this hydra.

"Where can we find fire? This place is so dark! " exclaimed Claire.

"I guess we'll have to think about that later," Leon replied.

From the dark water, scales began to appear upward. It doesn't seem too big, Claire hoped silently. But his hope was like an empty hope, because suddenly the nine hydra heads appeared simultaneously to the surface. Leon and Claire's eyes widened as the heads grew so high, they almost touched the clouds. Its body is almost as big as Lerna Lake itself.

"H-how can we defeat a monster this big?" asked Claire. It felt like he was almost crying. What a nightmare.

“Say this is just a dream, Leon. I'll wake up after this! I want to wake up now! " exclaimed Claire again. Leon approached Claire.

"Calm yourself, Claire. This is not a dream!" exclaimed Leon while holding Claire's shoulders.

"We don't have time for this!" Leon exclaimed and he quickly pulled Claire's body away because at the same time one of the hydra heads attacked Leon and Claire quickly.

Leon then jumped high and cut off the hydra's head before he could return to the top.

“Leon! You did wrong! " exclaimed Claire.

"Sorry, I have to try. Who knows the bug will change the story," said Leon.

The severed neck dangled on the ground, but moments later, from the base of the severed neck grew branching into two enormous dragon heads.

“That bug doesn't change this part obviously!” exclaimed Claire irritably.

Now, the dragon heads attacked them simultaneously. Claire and Leon rolled to avoid the attacks. They are now apart.

"How do we make a fire if there is no source of fire?" shouted Claire to Leon who was far away. At the same time a dragon head rushed towards her, Claire closed her eyes while screaming and raised her spear up high. When she opened her eyes, Claire's spear was already stuck into the dragon's neck. With one strong move that Claire didn't expect at all, the spear was finally able to chop off the dragon's head. That's Athena's power. However, Claire knew what that meant. From the severed base, two more heads emerged.

"Shit!" exclaimed Claire.

"I will find a source of fire!" exclaimed Leon as he ran away.
