Max’s POV

That night… I choose Kya over all else. I desired to be near her and as Alpha of this pack, I get what I desire. I made my way back to the hospital to see her against my better judgment.

After returning to the hospital I came into the outer room connected to Kya's treatment room and gazed over at her through the little window. I realized my attraction to this beautiful girl could be dangerous. At that moment something inside compelled me to stay with her though I did not know why.

Her little helpless body stared back at me. “Go in” Artemis murmured in my head. Not obeying him but my desires I entered Kya's treatment room. I walked to her bedside not taking my eyes off of her. Her cheeks have become a little fuller, her hair less dull and her lips have color returning to them.

-knock knock-

A gentle knock came from the viewing room door. I glanced over at the door as the doctor entered. “Any updates on her condition doc?” I immediately asked him looking back at Kya.
