Chapter Thirteen.

I got up early in the morning due to an improper sleep during the previous night. It was due to the anxiety to start fresh with my new life. I was determined to be the best in whatever it is that I do, so that I would have something to be proud of in the pages of my life. Due to the fear of reaching late during my first day, I reached one hour earlier than necessary and decided to spend some time at GHS which is located right beside the University. I was hoping that time would move a lot faster because I wanted to find out about what was going to happen next. But it is a common fact that if we are anxiously waiting for something, time would seem to crawl a lot slower. When it was finally the time to head back to the campus, I hoped for everything to go on smoothly, just as how I expected it. I braced myself and went to meet Sofia, who was responsible for the new students, to inquire about my Lecture room. After being instructed on which room to go to, I started walking towards the class, the mixture of excitement and nervousness start to fill within me

On my way to the class I met Ken he was also going to the same class. A professor was already in the class "why are you both late for your first lecture" "he said with a straight face "Ken noticed the fear on my face and replied "we did Know the buildings sir"

"You two should see me in my office after classes" he said and left"

Who was that "I asked Ken"

That is Professor Cox ,a very strict man

, I heard a student tried passing something to his neighbor beside him in the examination hall,Cox threw him out of the class and made his whole year suck.”Ken explained. Trying to ignore the thoughts of what he would do to me, I subtly changed the subject. “Turkey Bacon, when we get out of university we should open up our own muffin store.” As I said this I realized that even though I had only known Ken for a few days, our relationship had started to turn slightly feminine.Ken let out a little chuckle and then stopped abruptly in his tracks. “Dude.” Ken said as he pointed in front of us. I looked where he was pointing, but it was hard to see anything with just the stars and the moon as lighting. Ken began to jog in the direction which he pointed, and I joined, beginning to get slightly worried. As ken slowed down, I searched again for something alarming. Sprawled out on the ground there laid a man not moving. Turk quickly bent down and turned the man over. “Oh my god,” I said. “That's Professor Cox.” So there the three of us are, illuminated by the night sky. I stand frozen, looking at the unconscious man who just a few hours earlier had railed me for being late. Below me, Turk began to look for his phone to call the school security.

"Hello a professor is down in the school premises"

The school security came and took Professor Cox to the hospital. "What could have happened to him?."I asked" " I don't know ,maybe he had fight with a student and the set him up and had him beaten up" "he said jokely ". Common let me take you to your dorm" he said". We got to my dorm and knocked " Katie open it and saw Ken behind me "what are you doing here Ken?. She asked " I brought her home "he replied". "Bye ladies" he said and left

I enter the room and Katie kept staring at me "What Katie? nothing is going on between i and him,he just met at the school entrance and showed me the way to the class". "I didn't asked," "I thought you needed an explanation". Then another dorm mate came in ,we were meant to be three on the room ,she Is also a new bie like me ,that means Katie was the only one older "

Hi guys,I'm Chloe. "OMG you have the same name as my best friend" Oh really!.I helped her unpack and set the room .Later got to know about her family while I told her mine,Katie didn't join us ,she was busy arranging her bags. We talked for a while .Wow,my first day wasn't bad after all
